“I didn’t really think you would,” Elliot said, five years later, stroking Kate’s hair in her bed.
“I had to. You’ve always been so...you,” she said, then kissed him. He still tasted semen when they kissed, though she didn’t actually taste like it anymore, having used mouthwash thoroughly earlier because he accidentally let her know she tasted like that, then she asked him if he liked how it tasted, then he said he didn’t – then he realized what she was doing before he could talk her out of using mouthwash for him.
