Hidden Love
~~~
*Morning came sooner than some wanted. Joseph and Altair were still fast asleep, while a face peeked in through the window of the small cabin.*
Daniel: I can\'t believe him!
*Archer stood behind Daniel outside of the house. He just kept his arms crossed and looked up from behind him.*
Archer: I told you something was going on with him, ya can just tell by the look in his eyes.
Daniel: Yes, but HIM! *nods to Joseph* He\'s our enemy. I bet he\'ll rat us out the next chance he gets.
Archer: Well, sometimes love is cruel like that.
*Archer looked at Daniel\'s back,... sighing to himself. He still wondered whether or not he should tell Daniel about how he felt for him. That he knew he,... loved him, and not just liked him. For years he\'d been thinking otherwise, that their playful friendship meant more to him than just sex. While his heart wanted him to speak out, his head told him otherwise. That he would possibly weird his friend out by saying such a thing to him. So Archer kept to himself, obeying the voice in his mind.*
Daniel: Since when do you speak of love?
*Daniel had turned and faced Archer without him realizing. Archer looked up into Daniel\'s eyes and stared for a while. His mind wandered on a lot of things,... just thinking of Daniel in general. He wished they could be more than friends.*
Archer: Uh,... well I just,... was thinking, you know.
*Daniel nodded, and began to walk away. He turned around and grabbed Archer playfully, pulling him into a rough kiss. Archer blinked, but returned the kiss and held onto Daniel for a moment. But then he did a little something out of the ordinary,... he pulled away. For the first time he pulled away from Daniel. He knew this would only lead to them going at it again. And for once, he wasn\'t in the mood for it. Daniel looked down at his friend, a little confused.*
Daniel: Are you ok?
Archer: Yeah,... just,... don\'t feel like it, ok. I\'m gonna go,... take a walk.
*Archer turned and walked off into the forest. Daniel was stood, still looking confused and oblivious to everything that Archer had just done.*
\"You can be very thick sometimes, you know that?\"
*Daniel was brought out of his daze when he felt someone smack him in the back of the head lightly. He turned and looked to see Faren standing there.*
Daniel: What was that for?
Faren: It\'s obvious that there\'s something more to Archer than just what you want from him. He\'s troubled, but do you know why?
Daniel: Uh,... he didn\'t get anything from me today?
*Daniel grinned over at Faren jokingly. He was always one to mess around and be the optimist. But sometimes he didn\'t know when to stop his joking.*
Faren: If you can\'t figure it out on your own, then you don\'t deserve to know.
*Daniel just looked at Faren questionably. He wasn\'t the smartest person in the world, and really didn\'t like anything that wasn\'t put in plain words. Faren had turned and started to walk away. Daniel just watched him walk off, then went off in his own direction.*
Daniel: What does that old man Faren know anyway,...
*Daniel kicked the dirt at his feet, heading into town and walking down the dirt paths. He just let his hands hang down at his sides, and mainly was staring down while he walked. What did Faren mean anyway,... and what was Archer\'s problem today. He never got like that about anything before. They had known each other their entire lives. Daniel leaned back against a while and crossed his arms, thinking. Archer had been his friend for as long as he can remember,... they always helped each other. Daniel remember Archer taking care of him when he was sick at a young age, and was just expected to die. Archer risked his life to be near him and try to make him better. He started to think, maybe Archer was more than just a friend to him. Faren, Bernard, all the rebels were his friends, he knew a lot of people. But Archer was special. Maybe it\'s just,... it took a hit on the head for him to realize how much Archer meant to him. And how much he cared for him,...*
Daniel: I wonder if,... Archer feels the same way about me,... that has to be what Faren meant.
*Daniel put his head down and looked at his feet. He shrugged and started walking again, keeping his head down as he went. He realized he should go talk to Archer,... it was the only way this was all going to be resolved. And he knew,... he knew he felt that he,... possibly loved him. Maybe he just hadn\'t wanted to come to that conclusion,... afraid of being hurt. But Archer seemed to not mind the idea. He continued to walk, coming to a suddenly halt when he felt himself run into someone. But that someone,... grabbed him at the same time. He looked up and saw two armored figures holding him by either arm.*
Daniel: What the hell is this about?!
*Daniel struggled to free himself from the armored guards, but it was no use, they were both a lot stronger than he was. Both of the guards dragged him, as he literally put his feet down into the dirt as he was pulled. He was being pulled towards the castle. But he knew he didn\'t want to be there. Daniel felt himself get pulled into a room, because the dirt under his feet started to become hard stone. He was yanked into another room and thrown onto the floor on his hands and knees. The door he had come in from was shut and barred closed. Daniel stood up to his feet and looked back at the door, two guards were standing in front of it. He started to walk towards them when he heard another voice.*
\"Now how stupid can you be. You know you can\'t escape.\"
*Count Regan moved out from the shadows, looking at Daniel. Daniel turned around and glared at him.*
Daniel: And what the hell do you want with me?
Count Regan: Don\'t play stupid with me boy. I know you\'re one of them, I\'ve seen you before. But every battle you manage to elude my grasp.
*Regan walked over to Daniel and put his hand on his chest suddenly. Daniel stepped back and threw Regan\'s hand away. Regan only stepped forwards again towards him, and the two continued to retreat backwards.*
Count Regan: I need some information from you.
Daniel: Whatever you want, you can just forget it. Because I\'m not helping YOU with anything.
Count Regan: Oh you\'re going to tell me what I want. I have ways of making people talk.
*Daniel suddenly ran into a corner of the room. Regan walked up and blocked him in, just looking down at him.*
Daniel: ,... Burn in hell!
*Daniel swung his hand up towards Regan, trying to punch him in the stomach. Regan caught his hand and twisted it back. There was a sickening cracking noise, followed by the onset of Daniel screaming. Regan still held onto Daniel\'s arm, but Daniel stopped trying to move away. Every move shot jolts of pain through his body.*
Regan: And now,... the fun begins.
*Regan let a grin pass across his face. And another cry echoed from Daniel\'s mouth, that seemed to cross even the castle walls.*
*I remember waking up. But not wanting to move. My eyes opened up to the image of the sleeping man next to me. Altair,... most of my life I only dreamed of being able to touch him, be near him this way. Some of his long blonde hair was hanging down over his face. I smiled to myself and ran my hand back through his soft hair. He didn\'t stir, but his eyes opened and he looked at me. Neither one of us seemed to have anything to say for a while. I opened my mouth to speak, but he put one finger gently over my lips. I closed my eyes and felt his lips replace his finger, and he kissed me gently. I just allowed my body to melt into his, leaning up against him, throwing my arms around his chest and holding onto him. The kiss lasted what seemed like forever, until Altair broke the kiss and looked into my eyes.*
Joseph: ,... uh,...
*I let my mouth hang open for a while, and he laughed slightly at me, putting one hand on my cheek.*
Altair: You\'re so cute sometimes.
*Altair smiled at me, then started to sit up in the bed. I did the same, and stretched my arms out a bit. I hurt in places,... that I never thought I would. But the previous night had sure as hell been worth it. I sat there looking at Altair as he sat up, the covers only on him from the waist down. I stared at his muscled chest, and down to his waist. Silently I cursed the sheet for being in the way of him. I found myself lost in thought completely. The next thing I felt was something pressed against my hardness from above the cover I was under. I let out a faint gasp and looked up at Altair. He had his palm flat against me, rubbing slightly as he moved. I managed to get myself hardened again just from looking at him. I leaned my head down against his chest and closed my eyes, feeling his hand slip under the covers and start to rub against my skin. I arched up near him, his hand still stroking me lightly. He ran his fingers up and down my length, and it sent chills through my body. He pushed my legs open a little more, and had both hands down between them. While one caressed my length the other moved against my inner thigh, applying pressure to places that sent sparks flying through my body. I was lost in my own world, and suddenly jumped, coming onto him and the covers overtop of me. I panted for a moment, holding onto my lover with both hands. Altair took me into his arms, holding tightly to me. I never wanted to leave his grasp,... but in my mind I knew this moment couldn\'t last forever.*
Altair: Joseph,... we should get you home. Your father probably has many men looking for you.
Joseph: ,... but why. I don\'t want to go back there.
*Altair looked down into my eyes again, capturing me in his magnificent gaze. He leaned down and kissed my forehead lightly.*
Altair: I swore at the day when I became your knight, that I would never let any harm come to you. And I never will.
*I felt my heart jump for a mere second. And actually a single tear run down the side of my face. It was the most wonderful thing to ever happen to me,... just being here with my Altair. He leaned down and kissed me gently on the lips, and I returned his kiss with a much more powerful one. I felt like I had finally found what I had been so lost in looking for all of these years.*
