Chapter 5

Nathan
woke up from his peaceful slumber, almost unwilling to let go of the warmth
that encircled his unconsciousness. A
small groan emitted from the boy as cold seeped through the blankets and onto
his cooling flesh. With one eye struggling
to open, Nathan slowly pushed at the horde of feather soft blankets threatening
to overpower him. He prepared for the
shocking light of the morning sun to glare upon his bed.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> Nathan blinked.yes\"> Usually the sunlight would pour from the window, onto his
sleeping face to wake him. Today,
however, that is not the case.

The
lighting was dark. Nathan immediately
bolted up to turn on the light that was on the right side of his bed.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> A sharp pain stabbed at his head.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> Nathan cursed and reached for the light
switch that wasn’t there. He didn’t
realize it at t, bt, but an intense throbbing of pain had begun itching its way
throughout his entire body, starting from his terrible headache.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\">

‘God… I drank too much last
night.’ Grimacing, he settled himself
carefully down on the bed, trying to avoid additional pain from moving too
quickly. Just when he was pondering
about where his light switch could’ve gone, footsteps were heard, followed by a
dim light.

“My sleeping beauty has finally
awakened.” A deep voice came from the
tall figure, now at the edge of the bed.
The glow of sapphire gazed into Nathan’s eyes, momentarily halting him
on the spot.

Nathan was confused, then an alarm
went up in his head. Vampire.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> He tried to find any weapons on himself.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> If he was going down, he’ll go down
fighting. There’s no way in hell he
could win this fight without any weapons though. yes\"> Instead of meeting the pockets of his pants, he met with his
own soft flesh. Confusion flashed
across his face for a second, then the eyes widen in much alarm.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> ‘Shit.
I’m Naked! But…when?style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> Omg…shit shit shit.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> Please tell me I didn’t do wI thI think I
did. Aww…fuck…’style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> The events, or the important parts, rushed
back to him. Drinking too many shots of
alcohol, he was led by an enigmatic, as well as dangerous man. style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> The skin against skin, slick with sweat and
the mind-blowing pleasure returned to Nathan.
GradualNathNathan forced himself to look into the eyes of the one who
did this to him, anger and displease clearly showing on his youthful face.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> “Who-?”

Kallias didn’t wait for his angel
to speak before appearing right in front of the dark haired beauty and claiming
his soft lips. He used Nathan’s
surprise to sneak his tongue into the now unwilling mouth, enjoying the
moistness and heat. The boy struggled,
but Kallias, using his his own superior strength, pushed him back onto the bed,
pinning his arms. Nathan tried to kick
his way out, but only succeeded in move slightly, rubbing against the body on
top of him. Breaking the kiss, Kallias
gave an amusing smile. “Your struggles
are arousing me, lovely. If I didn’t
know better, I’d say you are actually trying to push me away.”style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\">

Nathan gave a hateful glare.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> “I am.”
With his arms pinned and his body disabled under the weight of the
vampire, he felt very vulnerable indeed.

“Hmm… you’re a confusing one.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> You didn’t act like this last night.”le=\"le=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> Kallias teased Nathan, pleased at the
instant blush on the pale boy’s face.

“I was drunk last night.”style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> Nathan scowled.yes\"> “Are you gonna let me go or what?yes\"> I mean, I’d hate to think that a man such as yourself has to
stoop as low as to raping an unwillingling person just to get laid.”style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\">

Kallias narrowed his eyes.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> ‘This boy…how interesting.’style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> Chuckling, he released the boy, allowing him
to sit and move about the bed freely.
“I don’t rape. I’m well beyond
that, boy. Really, your attitude
towards me was different just a few hours ago.
Do you remember?”

Nathan pulled the sheets up to
cover himself, taking one hand to hold them against his chest, as they kept
falling down.

“Nathan.yes\"> Really, you don’t have to be modest.yes\"> I’ve seen everything there is, and maybe a little bit more.”style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> A smirk appeared on the vampire’s face.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> His blue eyes glittered.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\">

“I have modesty, unlike some
people.” Nathan muttered and glared
some more. He’s been doing a lot of
glaring lately. “Where am I?”

“Still in the club, a private room.”style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> Kallias took in the boy’s questioning glance
and answered him. He suppressed an urge
to kiss the soft lips before him. ‘It
will do no good if you force yourself on him.
Besides, it’ll be more fun if he is willing.’

Nathan looked around the room for
his clothes, keeping the vampire is his sight at all times.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> You’d never know what those creatures would do
when you’re not looking. Spotting the
small and rather scattered pile of clothes, Nathan began to inch his way
towards it, while clutching the sheets to cover himself and keeping an eye on the
other man in the room. Now only a few
feet away from his clothes, Nathan could see his small dagger, half exposed in
the dim light. To Nathan, this moment
was crucial, being the moment that he finally gets dressed and receive his
weapon back at the same time. He could
defend himself, if only for a little.

A shift in the corner of his eye
brought Nathan’s attention back to Kallias.
A blurring figure came at him.
Deciding that his life was worth more than his modesty, Nathan had to
let go of his sheets and lurched forward to grasp the slight dagger, bringing
it up in front of his chest to defend himself against an attack. style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> But there was none.yes\"> style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\">

Kallias’s eyes feasted on the sight
of the naked body before him. The boy
was breathtaking. His hair was slightly
wet from t ant and his eyes shone brightly and alert.yes\"> The muscled curves of his hips, the smooth chest, not to mention
the boy’s round ass, all stood out to capture the vampire’s passions
again. Licking his lips, Kallias unconsciously
edged closer to the object of his desire, apparent lust gleamed in his
eyes.

Nathan let his tense shoulders
fall, but he did not let his guard down.
‘Just cuz he doesn’t want to kill me doesn’t mean he isn’t harmful.’style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> The boy backed away, not liking the look the
vampire was giving him. He felt hungry
eyes roam up and down his body, taking in all the details.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> Slowly, he took up his clothes, examining
them for damage.

“You don’t have to look.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> They’re beyond wearing.”style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> Kallias forced himself to control his
lust. Never before had he wanted
someone like this, not since he was a young vampire.yes\">

“How?”yes\"> Nathan asked without thinking.

“I was the one who took them off
last night. I should know what
condition they’re in. Hmm…it looks like
you’ll have to wait a little longer here.
Unless you want to go out naked.”

Nathan grabbed the fallen blanket
and covered himself again, frowning at his ruined clothes.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> He looked straight into the blue eyes.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> “Why are you not killing me?”stymso-mso-spacerun: yes\">

Kallias smiled seductively.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> “Is it not apparent?”style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\">

“So you’re gonna keep me here?style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> Against my will?”yes\">

“I see nothing obstructing your
leave.” Kallias pointed at the
door.

yes\"> Nathan scowled at the vampire.
“You can at least get me some clothes, since you are the one who tore
them up.”

Kallias chuckled.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> “Don’t worry.yes\"> I have no intensions of keeping you in this room.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> New clothes are being brought up to you as
we speak.”

The boy made his way towards the
bed, surprised when the vampire appeared in front of him again.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> Kallias reached for the boy’s face and
brought his lips upon Nathan’s in a searing kiss.yes\"> Nathan blinked blankly. Why
he was letting this vampire kiss him was a mystery even to himself.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\">

A few minutes later, a loud knock
came upon the door. Kallias casually
went to open it and took a bundle of soft fabrics from the deliverer.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> Nathan didn’t know what to say.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> ‘Why was the vampire letting him go?style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> Does he have an alternate agenda?’style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> The clothes were laid on the end of the
bed.

“I’ll leave you to change then,
lovely. I’m sure we’ll meet again.”style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> With those words, Kallias vanished from the
room.

Nathan rubbed his eyes.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> ‘I didn’t even see him move.’style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> Dressing, Nathan quickly got out of that
smothering room, and made his way home.

Annalise bit her lips in concern.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> The three of them had waited till the
morning for their dear friend to come back, but it was long after the sunrise
and no word had gotten through as to where Nathan was.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> “It’s all my fault.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> I shouldn’t have made him drink so much.”style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\">

“I’m sure he’s fine.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> Nathan can take the three of us down all at
once, so I’m sure he can protect himself from drunks and perverts.”style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> Jace sounded confident, but a nagging
feeling tugged at the back of his mind.
‘What if he’s not ok?’ <
/p

“Jace is right, Ann.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> You’ve been worrying nonstop for hours.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> You need some rest.”style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> Miles yawned.yes\">

“But…how can I sleep without
knowing if Nathan is alright? I just
have a bad feeling, guys.” Annalise
clasped her hands tightly.

“Well, you can wait all you want,
but I’m going to sleep. C’mon Ann, it’s
not like I don’t want to do anything. It’s just that there’s nothing we can do.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> You’ve already harassed the club security
until they had to kick us out so they can close.”yes\"> Jace stood up from his spot on the sofa.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\">

“Oh… he was drunk.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> We don’t know how that may impair his judgment.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> Even though I know what you say is true,
Jace I can’t dislodge this feeling of unease.”
Annalise creased her eyebrows in discomfort.yes\">

Just then, the door opened and
Nathan walked in, looking tired and worn.
Three people surrounded him at once.
Hugging and happy shouts rang throughout the room.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\">

“Nathan!!yes\"> What happened to you?” Miles
screamed first.

“We were waiting, you know.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> Don’t scare us like that!” style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> Jace gave him a disapproving look, then a
huge hug.

“You made us worry, you jerk!”style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> Annalise came from behind, hitting Nathan on
the arm. yes\">

“I was in the club. style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> Really, you guys didn’t have to worry.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> I can take care of myself quite well.”style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> Nathan tried to get away as fast as
possible. He didn’t want them to notice
the change of clothes, and most of all, the hickeys and bites the shirt did not
cover. After he had dressed, Nathan realized
that his activities with a certain vampire had left more than emotional pain.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> It also left scars and evidence of their
encounter. He faked a yawn.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> “I’m tired.
I’m gonna go sleep. You guys
should too.” He almost made it too, if
not for a shrill scream.

“Nathan!yes\"> Where are the clothes I got you?
And why in the world are you wearing this?” yes\"> Annalise examined the new outfit, and gave a loud gasp as she saw
the bite marks on his neck. “Nathan?style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> What’re those bite marks doing there?”style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\">

Nathan swore silently.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> “It’s nothing.”yes\">

“It’s not nothing!style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> You let one of them bite you!”style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> Jace moved to hold Nathan tightly in his
grip. “How could you?”style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\">

“Jace!yes\"> You’re hurting him! Maybe
it’s not what it looks like?” Miles
glanced at Nathan, questioning.

Annalise was stunned into
silence.

“What else does it look like?style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> You’re the ones who dragged me there.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> I guess we were too excited to remember that
vampires could get inside too.” Nathan
dropped his gaze.

“Were-were you willing?”style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> Jace whispered.yes\">

“I was drunk ok?style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> Who knows if I was willing or not.”style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\">

“They… didn’t turn you right?”style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> Annalise spoke up.yes\">

“I wouldn’t be standing here if they
did. Don’t worry, I’ll be ok.”style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> Nathan’s words sounded empty.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\">

“I’m sorry, Nathan.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> I didn’t mean to get you so drunk.”style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> Tears welded up in the girl’s eyes.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\">

“I said don’t worry!style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> And don’t even say it Miles!style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> I don’t want to hear it.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> I Am Okay.
I’ll live.” Nathan shoved Jace’s
hands off of him.

“Well…I guess we’re here when you
want to tell us about it.” Jace let
Nathan go. He knew the boy too well to
know not to push him when he’s like this.
“We’ll all get some sleep and deal with it later.”style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\">

Annalise nodded and quietly went
into her room.

“She was the one who kept insisting
we had to make sure you were alright, you know.yes\"> Trust her, Nathan. She cares
too much for you.” Miles added his last
words and left.

It was just Jace and Nathan,
alone. “So, I trust I wouldn’t wake up
to find you trying to bite me for blood?”
Jace smiled softly.

“What do you think, idiot.”style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> Nathan felt a small smile tug at the corners
of his mouth. Leaving it at that,
Nathan walked towards his room, letting the tiredness overcome him and flopped
onto his own bed.n stn style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> His hand went up to the
marks on his neck, feeling the two small puncture holes.style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> ‘So he did bite me, that bastard.’style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"> style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\">
