Longshot… ehm… right. I’ll… eh… nod along. I’ve never read X-men and believe it or not, as a kid I didn’t watch more than a few episodes of the cartoon. I’ve watched all the movies but I don’t recall Longshot. I’m guessing that came from the end bit there… Yeah… If it helps, it's not about the history or the touch... although the touch really is needed for... yeah. Explanations later. *waves hands to later*Yes, I did it. You didn't think Jay was just going to sit on the sidelines, did you? A lot was covered in this, I suppose. Meh. It'll likely have to do you for an entire day. So... boo. There's a guy in X-men who can ... seriously? Now I'm going to have to watch the entire series! Read, review and enjoy. The next afternoon found Mik curled around Paw, one arm wrapped around the Sidhe and a sore, throbbing ass. He would have gotten up hours before, rather than pretending to be asleep, but he wasn’t quite certain that he could walk. Souse had left sometime in the early hours of the morning, having had both Mik and Paw more times than Mik could recall to count. Never. Ever. Agree to a Sidhe orgy, he told himself. Ever. Paw grumbled and opened his eyes, sighing out as his eyes found the curtain, “Mik. Mik, wakey. Mik late.”Mik groaned and made a show at waking up. Couldn’t Paw tell he was faking? When he finally opened his eyes… it was several hours later than it had been at his last thought. Shit. Mik pushed himself off the nest, groaning as every muscle screamed at him. Paw slipped out of the nest effortlessly and helped Mik to the bathroom before wandering back to the nest. So help him, if the Sidhe went back to bed… he’d… he’d dump ice on it. Did he mean it the Sidhe or it the nest? Mik supported himself in the shower with his hands. Moments later Paw joined him and Mik almost jumped.“Easy,” Paw reached around to pull the head of the shower off the wall and moved it so the water hit both of them, “Need clean and Mik can barely stand.”Was that a note of pity in his voice?“Mik…”“Mm?” Mik grabbed the soap.“Mik upset?” “No. I’m not upset.”“More…” Paw made a hand motion that implied Mik was snarling. “I’m not snarling,” Mik began lathering up, ignoring the tching sound that Paw made. “’kays. Remember character on television of… of space ship gone to mars?”“I think I saw that,” Mik murmured. There had been several characters there. “And the one who wasn’t captain,” there was only one captain… “and got thrown in the brig.”“Right,” Mik recalled that one, “The snarkie smart ass.”“That Mik.”There was silence as Mik turned and helped Paw lather up. “Is that a problem?”“No,” Paw rinsed himself off and reached back around Mik to set the shower head back into the place where it belonged, “but is Mik like that a’cause of sex last night, a’cause of something else, or…” Paw trailed off and placed a kiss on Mik’s throat. For a moment Mik felt like something was tugging at him as he leaned into the kiss, “it’s not the sex. I just… woke up like this.”Paw gave Mik’s ribs a pat and left the shower. Mik sighed and shut the shower off. Slipped out of the shower and directly into a towel. Paw wrapped it around Mik, stepped right against him and … he could have stayed there all day. Mik forced himself to give Paw a peck on the jaw, the only thing his lips could easily reach without standing on tiptoes of bending his head. He pulled away, taking the towel with him. “I have to get in.”“Paw knows.”Mik reached for his pants as an idea occurred to him, “How good is Essuan’s blood?”“Eh,” Paw padded past Mik to the house coat that was hanging on the back of the door. How long had that been there? “Essuan bloodline good. But Essuan…” a sigh, “not all Sidhe good.”“So… Essuan is bad?”“No…. Essuan uncle bad.”Mik thought on it and thought on it and couldn’t seem to… “Oh my gods.” a disgusted outburst that, unfortunately went along with an image of two Sidhe who both wore Essuan’s face. “Yeah,” Paw looked at Mik, “right to life. Sos Essuan father let her life and when father come to love her… Go after uncle.”“But the uncle is the father,” Mik realised what had come out of his mouth and stopped for a moment, “it’s like a bad soap opera. Or… tragic play.”“No. To Sidhe. Father one who raise.”“So… the uncle kills the father and looks at his own daughter for…” Mik waited for Paw’s nod, “so Hohi and Essuan escape. Why leave their siblings behind?”“Other siblings end up accidentally dead.”“Whoever said Sidhe were peaceful needs a reality check,” Mik murmured, doing up the buttons on his shirt, “what about Hohi?”“Souse want Hohi from other leader but other leader fighting because other leader want Lillow.”“Lillow and Hohi are going to be paired?”“Are paired.”“But paired involves… and she’s…”“Fifteen. In five years, maybe, Lillow be fertile. Until then Hohi court her. No better blood can come along so Lillow will not turn Hohi away.”“At least he has a personality.”“Part of good blood.”“Wait. Why would Souse cross Essuan if she has bad blood?”“Because he love her. His blood good, Paw’s better,” Paw tugged at the tie of his house coat, “Paws blood and Essuan’s blood mean good blood. Not best blood but good blood. Hohi’s blood mingled with tribe make better blood and balance out bad blood.”“If Paw’s blood is so good, why doesn’t he want children? And how did he end up being a virgin for forty-two years?”“Paw like males. Paw’s tribe small. So all females pair off. Males who left fight for younger females. No energy left for other males. Other tribes, males have males to practise for females.”“Why not join a pair like you did with Souse and Essuan.”“Souse force me,” Paw shrugged, “Paw not like being part of third. And everyone in Paw’s tribe had good blood.”“Why were you so small then?”“Ehm…” Paw picked at his sleeve, “not want talk. Mik late. Mik should go.”Paw not wanting to talk about this? “alright,” Mik crossed the bathroom and gave Paw’s jaw a kiss, “one day, though, you’re going to have to share.”He left the apartment and ended up arriving at the program building just as most of the partners were leaving. Koln looked up from his paper work and sighed.“You’re late.”“You could have called me.”“We thought of that,” Koln murmured, “I told them not to. Galt came by. They found another group, a tribe that the poachers caught alive because they heard we’re offering to buy full tribes.”“Are you fucking kidding me?” Mik sat across from Koln, “that’s … good for us but the children are still out there Koln. We should re-release them. Or… buy land and move the tribe there.”Koln looked up at Mik and blinked, he looked down at the paperwork and back at Mik, “how exactly do we make the money for it?”Mik shrugged, “invest? I don’t know.”“Your mother’s boyfriend invests, doesn’t he?”“Yes. Some foreigner,” Mik shrugged, “Probably why I suggested investor.”“Did you tell him what we did?”“Didn’t help that he smelt Sidhe on me the moment I walked into the house,” Mik muttered to himself.“What?”“No. I didn’t tell him. Why?”“He wants to invest in us. Or… something. I don’t understand investor mumbo jumbo,” Koln closed the file, “what foreign country is he from? The kind that produces long, slim bodies and brightly coloured eyes?”Mik shrugged, “I’ve never been to another country. Never got that far.”“When were you going to tell us that there were Sidhe there?”“There?” “Living with your mother.”“She’s living with him?” Mik’s voice came out strangled, “She was just going to meet his family. They just met. Why are they living together? Does no one but me see how creepy and strange that is?”“Normal reaction of a young man to his mother suddenly having a sex life,” Koln murmured, “Galt wants us to pretend we don’t know. And Jay, he wants to come in and meet the Sidhe.”“By the gods above and the god below, that is not a good idea. Do you really think that that is a good idea?”“No. But he seems hugely interested in your Sidhe. Said that you went on about this magical creature and now he wants to meet the person you’re sleeping with.”“He’s not my father,” Mik snapped.Koln shrugged, “not yet, he’s not.”.
