My Hostage My Love – the ending
My Hostage My Love – the ending
MAJOR SPOILER ALERT!! Read My Hostage: My Love first or you ain’t going to know what the hell I’m spouting about. K? K.
Hidee Ho!
I haven’t been back on How Do you Write for a while, mainly because my muse has been kicked the crap out of my brain. Now, how does the muse to that? Easily, I just keep getting inspired at a fee-nomial rate. (yes, I know its spelled wrong).
Candy has been motoring forward and I’ve been scrambling to keep up with the plotting. I think I added like 10 chapters (roughly 100 pages) in less than a month or two not including MHML which has ended up being roughly 50,708 words in length.
I have read the reviews from the LOYAL and a theme has emerged. What is it? I did a ‘rowlings’ on you. Now, what the heck does that mean? If you read the last Harry Potter book you know. And unfortunately now that I look back on it, I still have a rowling feeling about it but it was a good place to stop.
AND, I actually couldn’t take anymore.
Egads. I actually felt sorry for my poor little amnesiac and all the horrible things I did to him. This dark and bleak story before Olga opened her big mouth and started spilling the beans was at the same time that I killed Haley in Candy. My advice to budding authors, don’t have two dark sorrowful, tear wrenching stories going at the same time. As I’ve mentioned before, I get my emotional state involved in my writing and I was kicking the crap out of myself. The fact that there was a friend in crisis in my real life and the sudden death of a former boss I think just derailed the MHML train of woe and misery.
I had taken Trevor to the edge and I hope in the last installment that I showed him, as well as the LOYAL that he was stronger than he thought he was and that he was not alone in the world. The fact that Eric was willing to jump out of chopper with the strong possibility of ending up diced into bi-polar bits and then to do CPR was a loud shout to the heavens that he was truly in LOVE with Trevor...no matter if Trevor couldn’t remember him. While there might be argument that Trevor was not strong as he tried to commit suicide, when he was revived the first thing he did was place his body between Eric and Eldon. Ending the story there in the hospital bed, leaves Eric in Trevor’s arms and Trevor realizes that he isn’t alone and that he is loved for who he is.
I personally found his telling Eric “You don’t have to keep taking your meds for me” was the most romantic thing Trevor could have said. Eric had accepted him. He was accepting Eric.
Well that’s my story, and I’m sticking to it. I’m willing to entertain comments and queries and other junk...but I think Trevor and Erik and I have parted ways. Then again, you never know what the pesky muse will do to you.
