A/N: Second chapter in the three chapter update.

He watched as the tree’s branches swayed above his head. The thick dark clouds seemed sinister or was that just his imagination. The snow was gone, but it was still chilly and the weather just couldn’t make up its mind. To rain or to snow, he hoped it snowed. His whole body was tense since he heard it would storm. He rolled over and his eyes found the dagger. Sitting up, he moved over to pick it up. It wasn’t that great just a dagger, but it could kill him. ‘Zev.’
***
The light flashed as the wolf growled. It ran and blood splattered on the ground.
***
Shaking his head, he sat it down and looked at it. “What the hell?” Turning to the window he looked out. ‘What was that?’ He had to think about something else. Anything…
… His face went red and as he remembered the night of the full moon. It had been a week and all he could remember was some of it. It didn’t help when Zev could remember all of it. A shiver racked his body and he pushed the thoughts to the side before they got to him.
Another thought crossed his mind. He couldn’t stop thinking about that day in the woods in the snow, a few months ago. His eyes wandered back over to the dagger. A scent that can make a wolf go into a hell of a rage, almost rouge like… ‘Wait!’ Smell… now he remembers the smell! A growl escaped him as he grabbed his hoodie and the dagger. He had to find Zev!
It was dark as he slipped past the house. He had to keep quiet the last thing he needed was Mitch or his dad thinking he was something else. With the hood up to hide in the dark better and the dagger in his pouch, he slipped around the side of the house. There was a sound and he stopped in his place.
He pushed up against the wall of the house and waited. Someone was up and walking around. If it was Mitch he would be dead and he would never get out of there. “Mitch, what are you doing up?”
“I knew a window was opened.”
“You… what is with you and windows?”
He chuckled, “Sorry, Jett.” Looking out the window he found no one around and right before closing it he called back. “Alright I’m coming!”
Akira stood around the corner with his hand on his chest. ‘Holy fuck!’ Sighing, he took off running across the front yard and vaulted over the gate. The hood fell back as he ran down the sidewalk.
“So what happened?”
Mitch looked over his shoulder at Daisuke, Jett was sitting on a chair. “I don’t know. What is Akira doing this late at night?”
~~~~
Zev kept his hands in his pockets as he walked. His coat was unzipped and his hair a mess. He had only gotten twelve hours of sleep all week. Yawning, he rubbed at his face. ‘Damn it.’ Making him do the night scouting also. His dad had to be really pissed to make him do both.
A clinking sound reached his ears. Looking over he found a person holding a chained lantern. It was swaying from side to side in a gentle way. The person had a hooded coat covering their face, the sleeves were long covering their hands, and the coat was short. They had on a pair of black shorts the stopped at the knees. When they walk by him he found them shorter than him, about Akira’s height. Bright green eyes looked at him in a not really seeing the outer him but the inner him.
He felt his body slowly go numb and then he dropped to the ground. ‘What…?’
When the person spoke it was soft voice, “Well look at that, a little wolf was caught in my trap.”
‘What is going on?’ His eye slid closed and he heard his phone ring. He knew who was calling from the tune. ‘Akira…’
“Shit! Pick up you damn wolf!” He ran as fast as he could when Zev didn’t answer the third time. “Damn it.” As he was running he was trying to find him. Akira let the wall he had been slowly building around his mind down. Wrong move. He stumbled as the noise got too load. His head was hurting from the volume of the multiple voices. Gripping his head he took a deep breath and started to slowly pick through. It hurt, his head was killing him. He couldn’t even hear himself think. “Zev… where are you?” His left shoulder burned and he hissed in pain. Looking up he blinked and rubbed his eyes.
There was a wolf sitting in front of him. It had a blond looking coat of fur with dark brown highlights. He reached out and his hand went through it. The brunette started to laugh as he covered his face. He had to be going crazy, that was the only reason he was seeing a ghost wolf… dog? Whatever the hell it was. The last thing he needed to happen to him was to start seeing things, again.
“Okay I really don’t need this.” He stood up and slowly made his way forward, the wolf followed him. “Stop following me!” A random person stared at him and he glared at them.
The wolf ran around his feet till it took off down an alley between some houses. It stopped and looked at him, “Okay here’s a crazy question. Why would I want to follow something that isn’t real?”
It sat down and tipped its head to the side. “Fine, I’m coming!” He gripped his head as the thoughts got louder. Why is this happening? Why the hell did he pull it down? The brunette didn’t see the rock and tripped over it.
“H-hey, are you okay?”
The ghost wolf growled at the man that leaned over to help Akira up. He gripped Akira and lifted him up. “I’m fine.” The man’s hand brushed his hand and his eyes widened. That hand patted his shoulder and he jerked back. “Don’t touch me!”
A wicked grin spread across his face, “You smell like an alpha. Maybe if I take you I can finally kill one.”
His hand went to get his staff, it wasn’t there. ‘Shit!’
The man shifted and jumped at Akira. He jumped back and stumbled as a sharp pain shot through it. Dropping to one knee he cursed as the werecat advanced on him. He was about to pounce when his body jerked forward. A hand dropped on his head and everything grew quiet. “Akira.”
He looked up to see Ransom and Mitch. Mitch was putting his gun away as Ransom knelt next to him. “You okay?”
“My head.” Looking over he could still see the wolf running in circles. “Ransom can you hit me…” he pointed at his forehead, “right here.”
“Um… no. Come on, on your feet.”
“I have to find Zev.”
“You’re in no shape to do that.” The older brunette was picking up the dead body. “Let’s head home.”
He pulled away and growled out, “I’m going to find Zev don’t you stop me.”
The thoughts slammed into his mind again and this time he choked on a cry of pain. Ransom had his hand on his head and Akira placed his hand over Ransom’s hand. “Better?”
“Yeah give me a minute I need to focus.” He closed his eyes. Once he couldn’t hear Ransom’s thoughts anymore he nodded. “Okay.” The hand pulled away and Akira gave a slight twitch. “I’m fine.” He stood up and sighed. “I’m going.”
“You’ll need this.” His staff clattered to the ground and he looked at Mitch.
“I’ll come back. I didn’t think I would…” he shook his head and looked at Mitch. His eyes had a hard edge to them. “You were right. This is different from then.” His storm gray eyes looked at the sky, “Besides I made a promise,” Akira pulled out the dagger and held it up.
“I see.” He scratched his head. “It’s going to storm later make sure your back by then.”
“You know me.” He picked up the staff. “I’ll be home for breakfast.” Looking over he started walking. The blunette looked back at Mitch.
“Follow him if you want. You don’t have to but you can.”
“He is such a pain in the ass. Making us worry all the time and what about Marianela’s feelings!”
“Stop barking at me.”
“Ass. What does Jett see in you?”
“Hmmm… do you really want to know?” He saw that smirk and shivered.
“Never mind.”
~~~~
Zev groaned as his eyes opened. He was in the middle of a warehouse. There were boxes and crates everywhere. His eyes landed on the black coat wearing person. Their hood was down and they had long red and black hair that reached their shoulders. Turning he blinked, it was a male. Then he saw another person wearing the same outfit but with green and black hair. This one was a female.
“Hey sis why can’t we just make him like the others?”
“You heard the boss bro. We need an alpha to lead the pack.” She dropped to the ground and walked up to Zev. “He’s a cutie.”
‘Where’s Akira when you need him?’
“Chasen, Auryon, leave him alone.” An older teen was sitting on the highest box; a hat was on his head backwards covering dark red hair. He had on a black jacket and a gray shirt, the pants he wore were dark blue cargos. Sandals were on his feet. Red eyes looked down at him, and then he saw the black demon’s tail. Around his neck was a dragon pendent.
“Aw come on let me play with him a little!” Auryon tipped her head to the side and grinned. He scooted back some.
“Creepy.”
Chasen started to laugh as his sister tried to jump on to Zev only the teen on the crate had grabbed her. “I said leave him alone.”
“Oh shut up. You’re not even a part of this damn thing. Your only hired muscle, as soon as you get your money you’re going to leave.”
Zev scooted a little further till his back was against a wall of crates. There was a click and a bang. They all grew quiet and looked over. A man was walking into the center of the area. “Ryder, drop her.” The small female dropped to the ground and she glared at him.
“We got an alpha as you asked.” The small male was standing next to Ryder. “Ryder helped me carry him.”
“Good.” The man was tall, an easy six foot five inches. His blond hair was pulled back at the nape of his neck and he was dressed in a long black trench coat. He had on blue jeans and a black button up shirt. Dark brown eyes looked at Zev.
“When am I getting my money?” He looked over at Zev. “I told you I don’t want to be included after you got the alpha.”
“Your right.” He raised his gun and Zev reacted. The kid was knocked to the ground as the bullet hit Zev’s shoulder. He let out a growl as the pain wracked his body.
Ryder looked at Zev as he stood. “Stupid bastard, he’s only a kid!”
“And a loose end.” Before he could turn the gun on Ryder the teen scrambled to his feet and took off. “Hmmm, oh well looks like I’ll have to get rid of him later.” He turned to Zev. “This is more important. Chasen, will you bring the jar.”
“Yes sir!” He ran over to a crate and pulled out a jar. “Here you go.”
“Now let’s see how you react.”
He stepped back as the lid came off and his eyes widened. ‘Shit.’
~~~~
Akira ran around the corner just as a teen slammed into him. They looked at each other and he quickly stood up to run. That bump had him seeing enough. He grabbed the back of his jacket and slammed him against the wall. “Where is he?”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about!”
“The wolf, damn it where is he?”
Ryder’s nose twitched and he started to laugh. “Oh man I knew this would happen. Look he’s in the warehouse over there. Tell your wolf lover we’re even.”
“What do you mean?”
“He just took a bullet so I could get out of there. Bastard, I knew this deal was fishy when he said he’ll only pay me after the job.”
The brunette quickly turned towards the warehouse when he felt it. It was Zev’s mind and then it was gone. “Tell me everything you know and I can guaranty your safety.”
“Like hell. Idiot, I just put him in danger and you’re letting me live.”
“Zev let you live for a reason. Now tell me everything you know damn it!”
“Fine. Just hold up your end of the deal!”
~~~~
Akira walked up to the warehouse and sighed. He rubbed his shoulder and muttered under his breath. ‘Raith had better be right about this.’
Pulling his hoodie off, he winced as his wings came out. Jumping up he flew up to the window at the top. His feet barely had room, so he was perched on the balls of his feet. Looking down at his old shoes he sighed. Gripping the window with one hand he pulled it opened and slipped in. Dropping onto a box he stayed there for a second. He could hear people talking. His wings disappeared and he pulled the hoodie back on.
Slipping down on to the next box he kept moving. Box to box to box, till he got close enough to hear what they were saying.
“He’s such a pretty wolf. Too bad we couldn’t keep him as a pet.”
“Shut up Auryon.”
“Jeez Chasen you mad because the boss wanted to kill Ryder.”
“He didn’t have to.”
Peeking over the edge, he found Zev in his wolf form. He was asleep and the chains kept him close to the ground. You could see dried blood matted in the fur of his left shoulder. ‘Bullet wound.’
He looked around and then found it. ‘If he can’t smell me then I’m okay.’ Moving quickly and quietly along the boxes, he found a large fan. ‘But I want him to find me.’ Walking over to it he pulled his hoodie off. Pulling the dagger out, he slipped it into his back pocket. He smirked as he tied the hoodie to the front of the fan.
Moving over he flicked it on and the loud hum filled the warehouse. He moved away from it as he heard something moving closer. Climbing up onto the crates, he looked over the edge. It was the female that was watching Zev.
Chasen looked over at the black wolf. His ears had twitched and then his nose, his tail twitched. He grabbed a jar and slid it closer to the wolf. When he stopped moving he sighed. The loud hum stopped and soon his sister was back. She was carrying a hoodie in her hand.
“Someone is here.”
Akira cursed when another person appeared. “What was that?”
The female held out the hoodie and he looked at it. “It was tied to the large fan.”
“The alpha reacted to it.”
“Hmmm, so someone is looking for him.” He looked around at the darkness that surrounded the lit up area. “Let the other wolves handle them.”
“Yes sir.”
“Make sure he stays asleep till it’s time.”
They nodded as he walked off. The brunette followed him, he jumped from crate to crate. He knew that guy. A grin spread across his face. He dropped down to the ground behind him with his spear in hand. Dashing forward he was cut off when a werewolf appeared, blocking his way.
The claws lashed out and he jumped back to avoid them. Another appeared and he planted the butt of his spear on the ground. Whipped around and delivering a kick to the wolf’s head. The wolf stumbled as Akira righted himself. Standing, he looked around wolves had surrounded him.
“You were the one in the forest.” The man chuckled and shook his head. “Well, look at that it is a small world. Kill him.”
They all jumped at him and he tensed.
The black wolf’s nose twitched again. A scent that was familiar and then the scent of blood wrapped around it.
Akira clutched his arm as the blood speed from the claw marks. There was a slash on his cheek and leg had a shallow gash. Blood dripped on the ground as he shifted his weight. He looked at the two dead wolves. He shook his head to get rid of all the thoughts. ‘No. Don’t think. React.’ His mind couldn’t help but wonder about their families and he shook his head again. ‘Don’t think about it!’
His eyes closed as the wolves jumped at him. ‘Stop thinking about it!’
The wolves flew back as he stood there rigged and panting. One ran at him and they flew back once again slamming into the crates. They shook and tumbled over. The wolves took off and Akira didn’t move as they fell around him. A grin spread across his face. When they stopped falling he stood there not moving. The man sat there watching. He waved his hand and another wave of wolves ran at Akira.
The black wolf’s eyes snapped open. Dark dull sky blue eyes looked around, the pupils shrank into slits and a growl came from him. Chasen turned when the chains clinked and then shattered. He stumbled back as his sister ran for a jar to open. They both watched as the wolf jumped over them and took off into the darkness.
“Oh shit.”
“Yeah, oh shit.”
Akira stood his eyes stared ahead. Nothing reflected in his eyes. He needed to live he need to find Zev. “Where is Zev?” The wolves fell to the ground one after the other, either dead or unconscious. He stopped and his eye blinked. Laughing he pulled out a tin.
The light clicked and the cigarette was lit. Inhaling he let out a thin stream of smoke. “Damn, I did it again.” He started to laugh again and leaned against the spear. “How many families are going to be sad?”
The man leaned forward. “Oh families, what families? Wolves are nothing but animals that can’t control themselves.”
“Humans are the same. Greed, anger, hate, love, sadness, emotions. I can feel them, but when I fight these wolves there is nothing but anger. With a real rouge, they feel anger, lonely, and hungry at the same time.” He smiled and sighed. “Even I can feel him, can I bring him back or do I have to kill him?” His chest hurt, why did it hurt? “An animal has emotions also, so do humans and paranormals.”
There was a click and Akira looked up. The man had his gun raised and it was pointing at him. He didn’t move as there was a bang. Smiling he shook his head, “I should of never left you alone!”
“Hey Mitch.”
There was a howl and he jumped down next to Akira. “What are you going to do?”
“I don’t know.”
He saw his shoulder and grabbed his arm, “When did this happen?”
“There just scratches.”
“Not those. This!” His hand closed over the fading mark on his left shoulder.
“Don’t say a word to Zev. He’ll hate himself.”
“Akira!”
“Hey Mitch why does my chest hurt?”
“Huh?” He could feel him getting closer as they stood there.
“It hurts whenever I think about what I might have to do to Zev.”
Mitch sighed and patted him on the shoulder, “Then don’t do it. You’ll find a way to help him.”
“You didn’t answer my question.”
He smiled and then looked to the side. “Let’s take this outside.” They quickly jumped over crates and boxes before they ran out of the warehouse.
Zev shot out of the warehouse after them. Akira took the spear point off and tossed it to Mitch, “I’m going to wake him up!” The staff slammed into the bottom of his jaw and his mouth clicked shut. He put his foot against Zev’s stomach and fell back flipping him over onto his back. The wolf rolled over and growled at him.
Spinning the staff he slid his foot out and held his staff pointing out at him. ‘I can do it. I’ll…’
He ran at Akira, his claws out. In that split second there was a flash of lightning streaked across the sky snaking out and a loud clap of thunder followed after it. His staff dropped and Mitch shouted.
~~~~
Marianela opened the door and found Ransom with a teen. “Who is this?”
“Akira said he’s to be left alone till he gets back.”
“Oh, okay.” She led him into the kitchen and they sat down. “It’s almost morning and I’m making breakfast. You hungry?”
“…”
She looked back at him and smiled. He looked away as she patted the table, “I’m getting some food for you.”
Ransom sat down and grinned. “What about me?”
“What do you want?”
“Pancakes with lots of butter!”
“Go it!” She looked at the teen. “What about you… um?”
“Ryder.”
“Okay Ryder, what do you want?”
“I don’t care.”
“Marianela, what is everyone doing up so early?” Daisuke was yawning as he scratched his head. His hair was a mess as he sat at the table. Black eyes looked at Ryder.
“Mitch asked me to get some food ready for Akira and Zev. So I’m just going to make a big breakfast for everyone.”
“Who’s the new kid?”
“Akira sent him here.”
“Ah. Okay.”
She looked over at the clock. “I hope he comes back home.”
“He will, Maria. Remember this is Akira he keeps his promises.” Ransom grinned at her and she nodded.
“I know I’m just worried about after.”
Daisuke looked at her and he frowned. ‘What happens after?’
The lights flickered and Ransom looked up as the thunder rumbled, “That’s not good.”
“He just took a bullet so I could get out of there. Bastard, I knew this deal was fishy when he said he’ll only pay me after the job.”
The brunette quickly turned towards the warehouse when he felt it. It was Zev’s mind and then it was gone. “Tell me everything you know and I can guaranty your safety.”
“Like hell. Idiot, I just put him in danger and you’re letting me live.”
“Zev let you live for a reason. Now tell me everything you know damn it!”
“Fine. Just hold up your end of the deal!”
Akira walked up to the warehouse and sighed. He rubbed his shoulder and muttered under his breath. ‘Raith had better be right about this.’
Pulling his hoodie off, he winced as his wings came out. Jumping up he flew up to the window at the top. His feet barely had room, so he was perched on the balls of his feet. Looking down at his old shoes he sighed. Gripping the window with one hand he pulled it opened and slipped in. Dropping onto a box he stayed there for a second. He could hear people talking. His wings disappeared and he pulled the hoodie back on.
Slipping down on to the next box he kept moving. Box to box to box, till he got close enough to hear what they were saying.
“He’s such a pretty wolf. Too bad we couldn’t keep him as a pet.”
“Shut up Auryon.”
“Jeez Chasen you mad because the boss wanted to kill Ryder.”
“He didn’t have to.”
Peeking over the edge, he found Zev in his wolf form. He was asleep and the chains kept him close to the ground. You could see dried blood matted in the fur of his left shoulder. ‘Bullet wound.’
He looked around and then found it. ‘If he can’t smell me then I’m okay.’ Moving quickly and quietly along the boxes, he found a large fan. ‘But I want him to find me.’ Walking over to it he pulled his hoodie off. Pulling the dagger out, he slipped it into his back pocket. He smirked as he tied the hoodie to the front of the fan.
Moving over he flicked it on and the loud hum filled the warehouse. He moved away from it as he heard something moving closer. Climbing up onto the crates, he looked over the edge. It was the female that was watching Zev.
Chasen looked over at the black wolf. His ears had twitched and then his nose, his tail twitched. He grabbed a jar and slid it closer to the wolf. When he stopped moving he sighed. The loud hum stopped and soon his sister was back. She was carrying a hoodie in her hand.
“Someone is here.”
Akira cursed when another person appeared. “What was that?”
The female held out the hoodie and he looked at it. “It was tied to the large fan.”
“The alpha reacted to it.”
“Hmmm, so someone is looking for him.” He looked around at the darkness that surrounded the lit up area. “Let the other wolves handle them.”
“Yes sir.”
“Make sure he stays asleep till it’s time.”
They nodded as he walked off. The brunette followed him, he jumped from crate to crate. He knew that guy. A grin spread across his face. He dropped down to the ground behind him with his spear in hand. Dashing forward he was cut off when a werewolf appeared, blocking his way.
The claws lashed out and he jumped back to avoid them. Another appeared and he planted the butt of his spear on the ground. Whipped around and delivering a kick to the wolf’s head. The wolf stumbled as Akira righted himself. Standing, he looked around wolves had surrounded him.
“You were the one in the forest.” The man chuckled and shook his head. “Well, look at that it is a small world. Kill him.”
They all jumped at him and he tensed.
The black wolf’s nose twitched again. A scent that was familiar and then the scent of blood wrapped around it.
Akira clutched his arm as the blood speed from the claw marks. There was a slash on his cheek and leg had a shallow gash. Blood dripped on the ground as he shifted his weight. He looked at the two dead wolves. He shook his head to get rid of all the thoughts. ‘No. Don’t think. React.’ His mind couldn’t help but wonder about their families and he shook his head again. ‘Don’t think about it!’
His eyes closed as the wolves jumped at him. ‘Stop thinking about it!’
The wolves flew back as he stood there rigged and panting. One ran at him and they flew back once again slamming into the crates. They shook and tumbled over. The wolves took off and Akira didn’t move as they fell around him. A grin spread across his face. When they stopped falling he stood there not moving. The man sat there watching. He waved his hand and another wave of wolves ran at Akira.
The black wolf’s eyes snapped open. Dark dull sky blue eyes looked around, the pupils shrank into slits and a growl came from him. Chasen turned when the chains clinked and then shattered. He stumbled back as his sister ran for a jar to open. They both watched as the wolf jumped over them and took off into the darkness.
“Oh shit.”
“Yeah, oh shit.”
Akira stood his eyes stared ahead. Nothing reflected in his eyes. He needed to live he need to find Zev. “Where is Zev?” The wolves fell to the ground one after the other, either dead or unconscious. He stopped and his eye blinked. Laughing he pulled out a tin.
The light clicked and the cigarette was lit. Inhaling he let out a thin stream of smoke. “Damn, I did it again.” He started to laugh again and leaned against the spear. “How many families are going to be sad?”
The man leaned forward. “Oh families, what families? Wolves are nothing but animals that can’t control themselves.”
“Humans are the same. Greed, anger, hate, love, sadness, emotions. I can feel them, but when I fight these wolves there is nothing but anger. With a real rouge, they feel anger, lonely, and hungry at the same time.” He smiled and sighed. “Even I can feel him, can I bring him back or do I have to kill him?” His chest hurt, why did it hurt? “An animal has emotions also, so do humans and paranormals.”
There was a click and Akira looked up. The man had his gun raised and it was pointing at him. He didn’t move as there was a bang. Smiling he shook his head, “I should of never left you alone!”
“Hey Mitch.”
There was a howl and he jumped down next to Akira. “What are you going to do?”
“I don’t know.”
He saw his shoulder and grabbed his arm, “When did this happen?”
“There just scratches.”
“Not those. This!” His hand closed over the fading mark on his left shoulder.
“Don’t say a word to Zev. He’ll hate himself.”
“Akira!”
“Hey Mitch why does my chest hurt?”
“Huh?” He could feel him getting closer as they stood there.
“It hurts whenever I think about what I might have to do to Zev.”
Mitch sighed and patted him on the shoulder, “Then don’t do it. You’ll find a way to help him.”
“You didn’t answer my question.”
He smiled and then looked to the side. “Let’s take this outside.” They quickly jumped over crates and boxes before they ran out of the warehouse.
Zev shot out of the warehouse after them. Akira took the spear point off and tossed it to Mitch, “I’m going to wake him up!” The staff slammed into the bottom of his jaw and his mouth clicked shut. He put his foot against Zev’s stomach and fell back flipping him over onto his back. The wolf rolled over and growled at him.
Spinning the staff he slid his foot out and held his staff pointing out at him. ‘I can do it. I’ll…’
He ran at Akira, his claws out. In that split second there was a flash of lightning streaked across the sky snaking out and a loud clap of thunder followed after it. His staff dropped and Mitch shouted.
Marianela opened the door and found Ransom with a teen. “Who is this?”
“Akira said he’s to be left alone till he gets back.”
“Oh, okay.” She led him into the kitchen and they sat down. “It’s almost morning and I’m making breakfast. You hungry?”
“…”
She looked back at him and smiled. He looked away as she patted the table, “I’m getting some food for you.”
Ransom sat down and grinned. “What about me?”
“What do you want?”
“Pancakes with lots of butter!”
“Go it!” She looked at the teen. “What about you… um?”
“Ryder.”
“Okay Ryder, what do you want?”
“I don’t care.”
“Marianela, what is everyone doing up so early?” Daisuke was yawning as he scratched his head. His hair was a mess as he sat at the table. Black eyes looked at Ryder.
“Mitch asked me to get some food ready for Akira and Zev. So I’m just going to make a big breakfast for everyone.”
“Who’s the new kid?”
“Akira sent him here.”
“Ah. Okay.”
She looked over at the clock. “I hope he comes back home.”
“He will, Maria. Remember this is Akira he keeps his promises.” Ransom grinned at her and she nodded.
“I know I’m just worried about after.”
Daisuke looked at her and he frowned. ‘What happens after?’
The lights flickered and Ransom looked up as the thunder rumbled, “That’s not good.”
