Third Chapter- Questions

“Screwdriver, extra vodka,” some tall blonde guy said to Raven. She prepared his drink for him and he gave her a ten, “Keep the tip gorgeous,” the guy winked at her and left.
She was getting sick of these losers approaching her and “paying” her off. At least she got pretty good tips though. So she took it and grinned. All she really wanted though was for him to notice her. She didn’t want to think or say his name because then it made it more real, and she didn’t want to be seen as someone who couldn’t catch the guy.
Raven didn’t like the fact that she couldn’t get him to call her gorgeous and give her tips. She was about ready to explode, but I guess it didn’t matter to anyone. Grin and bear it, she thought, just take it. She knew she’d get through this, she just didn’t know how yet.

I’ve been searching for over an hour and I still can’t find her, thought Freeze. I’m about to go on too, so I can’t waste anymore time. He would just have to ask around to find the goddess that was taking up his thoughts. Obsession, that’s what this was called, but he didn’t care he needed her.
Walking up to his brother yet again Freeze said, “Alright, I’m ready to go on.” Freeze sat down on the stool next to his brother and took his guitar from him.
Rider nodded at this and replied, “I’ll go announce you, just let me finish this off,” with that Rider knocked back the rest of his vodka and got up. Freeze went backstage and waited for his name to be called.
While back there he looked at all the bodies stopping what they were doing because the music had been turned off. He still noticed one body moving, and it was her. She was moving like the music was still on, yet she was slowing down because she sensed it had been turned off.
All of the sudden she stopped and turned toward his brother’s booming voice, “Ladies and gentlemen, Ice Fire is proud to present Freeze,” having said that, Rider backed off the stage and it was time for Freeze to enter.
He went onto the stage and saw everyone staring at him, except the goddess. She was walking away and heading towards the bar, and he somehow felt hurt by this. Yet he stilled played his guitar and sang his song. This was going to be a long night and he was just going to have to except the fact that it was going to take a while to get her attention.

If she thought he was annoying before, that thought more than doubled now. He had rudely interrupted her dancing just so HE could play HIS guitar. Shit, what was up with this. This was her club, she had claimed it a long time ago, and now he took away her comfort and she had no idea what to do.
Besides, what kind of name was Freeze? He was her exact opposite, you could tell by the way he carried himself and especially by the way he looked. So she turned away and headed to the bar so she wouldn’t have to look at the interrupter of peace anymore.
She approached her friend, Raven, only to see that she was staring intently at Freeze. Lord, she thought, even Raven’s going after him. Well, I don’t care, I’ll interrupt this sappy love fest.
With that she slapped Raven on the arm and said, “Don’t tell me you’re falling for that asshole!” Raven looked at her bewildered and then really focused on her.
“He’s not an asshole, I thought he was nice. Besides, do I ever FALL for anyone?” Raven looked at her coyly.
“Of course not, not the wonderful Raven who has guys just falling at her feet,” Fire replied, her voice dripping with sarcasm. Fine, if they wanted it this way, they could have it this way. Every girl could fall at this guy’s feet, but damn him if he thinks he’s going to ruin her fun!

FUCK! Every girl in the place was staring at his little brother, and I guess he could understand because Freeze did have Rider’s good looks. Rider just prayed that Fire was not one of those girls. Granted, she was not the typical girl, but many women had falled for the charms of the Chambers’ brothers.
He scanned the dance pit to make sure she wasn’t there dancing seductively to Freeze’s music. Luckily, she wasn’t there, so she must be at the bar. Rider looked over to see Fire leaving the bar pissed and walking towards….who was she walking towards?
Oh, great, now she was walking towards him and he was not at all ready to deal with her yet. But apparently he was going to have to because she was at his side moments later.
“Who is the sap on the stage?” Fire nodded towards Rider’s brother and he actually grinned. Apparently she wasn’t falling for him like he thought she would. Leave it up to Fire to be the only girl to see past his looks and charm, he thought.
“That, my friend, would be my brother,” Rider said, still grinning like crazy and even slightly laughing.
“Well, your brother’s a dick. He seems a little high on himself if you ask me,” Fire said with disgust in her voice. Then she proceeded to sit down at the table behind them, roll her head back and close her eyes.
“I take it you’re not too impressed with his music, huh?” Rider was looking at her still completely amused.
“If I were impressed with his music, I would be equally impressed with seeing gerbils do backflips. So, no, I am not impressed with his music,” Fire rolled her eyes and went back to resting.
This is working out better than he thought it would and he couldn’t say he minded it one bit. So, one obstacle down and about a billion more to go, Rider thought getting ready to make his next move.
