Kira's new friend
Chapter 4
Slowly, Kira felt herself waking up. Her mind lazily started working, reminding her where she was and how she got there. Cracking an eye open, she could see a digital clock showing 2am, then closed her eyes. 'Wayyy too early...wait..ugh..didn't I just see sunlight..?" Opening her eyes again, she recalled how the power went out. And then she smelled it.
"Mmmhh...bacon.." The smell seemed to lull her back to sleep. A light tap to her shoulder brought her back to reality. "Kiiiiiraaa~ waaakey wakey~ breakfast will be ready soon!"
Kira finally rolls out of bed, still completely naked. She flushes red a bit before finding her pyjamas and puts them on. She doesn't bother buttoning up either top or bottom and walks out, entering the kitchen. "Morning, breakfast...~" She lazily hugs Sera from behind, who's busy cooking what seemed like pancakes and bacon. "H-heh!? Oh, geez, Kira, don't do that, its dangerous over the stove..."
Kira noticed what Sera was wearing and blushes. She was in a loose shirt, white panties and an apron. She had just finished everything, except the bacon was still cooking, so Kira decided to have a little fun. Slipping her hands under her shirt, Kira cups Sera's breasts, apparently with no bra, moves them around a bit and plays with her nipples. "Wha!? Kira, you bully..!" Kira retreats to the table, Sera looking as if scolding her. "Sorry~ you just look so sexy in that, I couldn't help myself~" Sitting down, her stomach growls loudly, causing her to blush darkly. "Hungry?" Sera asks with a giggle.
"Can I ask you a question?" Kira asked during breakfast, mouth partially filled with pancakes, maple syrup and bacon. "Have you ever cooked something that wasn't delicious?" "E-eh? Uh, I dunno...I was probably clueless before my mom taught me..." She was blushing, apparently flattered at the implied compliment. "Hehe, could be the perfect bride for anyone, you know?" "B-bride?" Sera blushed, then her face looked sad. "No, I couldn't...not with my body..." "Oh, come on, of course you can...even I'd love to have a bride like you..." Flushing a bit red, Kira continues. "Uh, hehe...that sounded kinda embarrassing..."
Without saying any more, Sera gets up and starts putting things away and doing the dishes. Kira felt a bit bad about letting her do everything, so she quickly came to help, against Sera's protests. She notices Sera sneaking some looks at her while they work. She seemed nervous, even giving a little yelp when they bumped shoulders by accident. A few glasses almost lost their lives due to her sudden clumsiness.
Sighing, Kira leads Sera to the couch after they finish. She couldn't stand seeing her in such disarray any longer.
"Sera, is there something wrong?" Sera looks at her, then looks back down. She looked like she wanted to say something, but was much too shy to come out with it. "Come on...is it about the bride thing?" She freezes as she hears the last word, then lets out a shaky sigh. "K-kira...is it okay...for me to love you?"
Sera's words and teary eyes struck Kira's heartstrings. She finally realized how insecure and fragile this girl was under her usual kind self. She had probably been hurt deeply before, and now she found it hard to trust in such things like love. Sha was about to get up and go, but before that, Kira hugs her tightly. "Sniff..ah..? K-kira...I..sniff.." Holding her close, Kira let Sera cry out her tears. It hit her that she couldn't leave this girl alone, lest she break her heart even more. "It's okay, Sera, I'm here for you..."
