Aboard Coralie, the days were always the same. Sweltering, humid, smelly, tiring. Fights and fainting spells were common, people pushed to their limits by the heat and the smell. Others don't even bother to look anymore, life goes on as always.
But not this time.
Shrieks and yells echoed aboard the ship as the sea of people parted in a panic. A low black form streaked through trembling legs, those who felt the creature pass by either jumped back or scream. No-one saw it clearly, and no-one got hurt, except for that one guy who stepped on another guy's foot, and so on and so forth.
That low black form, if you've managed to get a clear look at it, was actually a large-ish black dog with an odd halter of black leather looping over and around its neck, forward shoulders and abdomen. Even more odd, was a small porcelain doll riding on its back, the toy's legs and feet were tied down to prevent it from falling off.
The dog quickly ate the distance between the boarding ramp to the Seagrave where it suddenly stopped and paced. As though waiting for an order, the dog sat on its haunches and merely gazed at the too heavy doors without noticing the stares he was attracting. A drunkard tried to approach it and was quickly turned away when his outstretched hand was nearly bitten.
Its ears suddenly perked in attention as it turned its gaze elsewhere. As though being led, the dog ran off into the open deck. Several people swore that the dog took a flying leap off the ship once it got to the railing.
White paced the 10 feet of open space in the Postman's rented room. After the bathtub fiasco two days ago, Alicel had forbidden the thief from leaving the room and following him. Needless to say, the thief hadn't followed the orders to heart, had tried to stalk after the Postman. But 5 meters from the Seagrave's front doors and the large man seemed to melt into the crowd. White had turned back right away, not daring to wander Coralie in fear of slavers and low-lifes with a penchant for young bodies.
The Postman often left him alone for hours, coming back only to take his meals like clockwork. At Alicel's absence, the thief would sometimes chat with Sabina, the owner; during lulls at the bar. But his favorite pasttime as always, was gazing at the ocean for hours on end. Just looking at the waves and all the bobbing boats from his window. The sea spray would wake him up when he drifts off, saving him from a rather nasty fall into the cold sea.
Today was no different, Sabina was a bit busy though so White went back to his room with some bread and a jug of water. Alicel was due back in another hour for lunch, and truthfully, White was getting bored. He hoped that the Postman would at least stay in for the rest of the day and not go off to pick up whores from the 2nd deck. He knew the older man was spending time with the prostitues, if the nauseating smell of perfume, alcohol and cigarettes was to judge by. What could Alicel possibly gain from those men and women that he couldn't get from White.
Sex, of course.
With a sigh, the thief stopped his restless pacing and moved to the cabinet. He found out that if he was to place the cabinet parallel to the porthole, he can lie on his stomach and peer out of the window in relative comfort. Now he just had to worry about not falling asleep and rolling off the cabinet instead.
Same scene as always, White thought. He saw something break the surface and wondered if that had been a tentacle or a fin. The creature was too far away and the sun reflecting off the water distorted his view.
White edged forward, peering at the place where he last saw it. As he stuck his head out of the ship, the wind played at his hair, whipping it in all directions. He moved closer, his shoulders now stuck so far out, he could have fallen if he wasn't gripping the porthole edge tightly.
A dog started barking and as White turned his attention to the sound, his hand slipped and he pitched forward, out of the porthole and into the waters.
He squeaked and braced himself for impact, eyes shut tight against the sight of the water rushing towards him.
"Stupid brat."
The water did not touch him, nor did he touch the water. Blinking his eyes open, White raised his head and realized that the choking sensation he was feeling wasn't the sea pressure on his lungs, it was the collar of his shirt pulling against his throat as Alicel grabbed the back of his shirt.
The Postman pulled him back to safety and dropped him harshly on the floor.
"Catch any fish?" the older man asked sarcastically as he started to take off his cloak and boots.
The thief merely ignored him and picked himself up from the floor. He opened his mouth to speak when the dog outside barked again. The sound made Alicel look out of the porthole with a frown. It was such a normal thing, and White was confused as to why the Postman would react oddly to a dog.
His questions was answered a minute later when Alicel moved away from the porthole and a black figure leapt in through the window and into the room.
White quickly stepped back as the dog shook itself, spattering the room with seawater.
He frowned in confusion, eyes now riveted on the doll riding the dog's back. It was the expensive sort, like the ones made of china or resin. The black and purple gown it was wearing appeared old and ragged and there were signs of clumsy repair all over the doll's dress. The ceramic face was dirty and there were cracks running though it in several areas, but the doll's purple glass eyes seemed to glint like new. White didn't like it.
[Alicel?]
The voice came from the doll, sounding tinny and a bit crackled, but it was definitely male. The thief shivered at the sound and ran to the Postman's side, using the bigger man as a shield against the obviously haunted doll. White was so focused on the doll that he missed the way the taller man rolled his eyes in exasperation. Though he didn't miss the huff that Alicel released.
"Lou." the Postman acknowledged and bent to pat the dog's head.
[Yowsa, Alice!], the doll said again.
With a crack, the doll shattered into little ceramic pieces when the Postman picked it up. White looked on with shocked eyes and quickly kicked the purple eyeball that rolled his way. The thief didn't know if it was because of the nickname or the speaker itself, but Alicel's grin was in no way, comforting.
[What was that? Did you break my beloved Ann? Lou? Did he break Ann?]
The dog made a short huffing sound and shook the remaining pieces of ceramic off him. Something else fell out of its fur. It was something like the voice recording gadgets one used to find inside talking dolls and bears. One that was battery-operated.
Some sort of high-pitched whine issued from the thing and fake sobs filled the room as whoever was talking grieved over his toy.
"Don't call me that, Quinn. And why are you wasting batteries on this kind of thing? Did you get the master's permission for it?" Alicel growled into the speaker. He sat down on the bed made a shushing action at White. The thief merely nodded and sank down besides the dog, to play with it.
[...] Silence from the toy, and as though he hadn't heard Alicel's question. [Ann's the sixth doll you've broken and I'm expecting reparations for the death of my cute girls!]The speaker seemed to have recovered from the death of his beloved Ann.
"Who wouldn't break those creepy things? They're as scary as shit and it doesn't help that you keep using them as containers for this thing."
[Still... Anyway! Post--ster says to hurry back. Give any letters you have left to Lou and I'll take care of it.]
"Hurry back? Why, what does the master need?" Alicel asked in confusion. He was planning on spending another week on Coralie since he was going back to the Post anyway. Since they're not understaffed or chaotically busy, the Postmen were usually allowed to dawdle for as long as a couple of weeks on their last stop.
[Not sure, Cry's been called back as well. Dunno the details, it's his first round and --- but the Postmaster suddenly ordered --- back. The kid's gonna be pretty pissed, I'll bet.]
"That only makes things more confusing. But his return shouldn't affect my schedule at all." the Postman answered back. The Postmaster would sometimes issue unusual orders but they were always backed by logic and reason. Telling Alicel to hurry back without reason was plain weird, and worrying.
[Ask him ---- when you get back. And one last th---, he says to bring the di----- back. What diamond? Did you find some--ing Alice? Don't let him sell it before I can --- it, o---?]
The line started to crackle louder, sometimes cutting Quinn's voice off. Alicel thumped the gadget against his palm and only managed to make it worse.
[---zzzt!]
White looked up from the floor as Alicel popped the batteries out of the small black box. His eyes widened at the AA batteries that the Postman quickly pocketed. Without electricity, and with gas and diesel depleted, small power sources like batteries are rare and very expensive. Just one of those small things would be enough to trade for a prime slave.
"What was the about?" the thief asked and joined the Postman's seat on the bed. The dog, Lou huffed slightly and settled down on the floor as Alicel started to empty his belt bag of letters. He slipped them in the bag on the dog's halter and zipped the pockets shut.
Right now, though unfortunate, he had to follow the master's orders. Especially since the situation was dire enough to pull Cry out of his round.
"What was that about?" White asked and crawled farther in the bed to lie down. The Postman's glance was troubed and White could feel himself getting anxious as well, as though mirroring the Postman's mood.
And as quick as it happened, it was gone. Replaced by Alicel's usual easy-going mood.
"Seems like vacation's been cut off early. I'll be going back to the Post tomorrow." the Postman answered and dropped down besides the thief. Wearily, Alicel closed his eyes and let out a long-suffering sigh. When he opened his eyes, White was near him, curious black gaze searching the Postman's face.
"Are you leaving me behind?" the thief asked. His voice was quite and his face, expressionless. But Alicel could feel him tensing as he waited for the blonde's answer.
"Do you really want to be a Postman?"
White stiffened at the question and turned his gaze down, lingering on Alicel's collar.
"I'm not sure... But, like you said. We take what we get, don't we?"
This time, the dark gaze was pleading. Asking the Postman to assure him that his decision was correct, that he won't regret following Alicel down his path.
Alicel smiled wryly, but said nothing. Merely allowed the thief to lay his head on his chest. He was merely a Postman, after all. He can only deliver letters, the future had always been kept secret from him.
| |||| ||| ||| ||||| || ||| | || ||||| | ||| | ||| | || ||||||| |||| |
The two woke with the sun, mostly due to Lou's insistent barking. Alicel grumbled a lot, White found out that the Postman had the worst mood in the mornings. And that he'll often doze off while bathing or eating breakfast. He only seemed to wake up when he's telling White to not follow his around the Coralie.
Today though, Alicel was grumpy and somber, but he looked awake, was able to bath in 10 minutes, was able to eat breakfast without dropping his face in his plate, was able to put the right shoe on the right foot, etc.
They left the bar early, sidestepping the drunk bodies sprawled on the floor. Sabina was already up, the woman never seemed to sleep. The Postman offered the batteries as payment, much to both White and the owner's shock. At Sabina's insistence, the two left with a small sack of vittles, something to snack on as they travelled.
When they got off Coralie, Lou immediately ran off to the north. The dog was to rejoin Quinn and had no qualms of going through Eden off the roads. She was after all, a creature of Eden originally.
Alicel had his mask hanging around his neck and on his back. He had once said that he rarely used it except when he felt his radiation deplete. It was another requirement to become a Postman, basically mutating yourself to adapt to Eden. It didn't deform him or anything, White had seen that for himself during his shared bath with Alicel. But it did make the Postmen unable to stay for long on territories where the air was clear of radiation.
It kills them, he says, to breath fresh air.
"Your friends..." Alicel suddenly said, startling White from his thoughts. The thief looked around him and realized they were near the place where the Postman caught him.
"White!"
Dante's tanned form suddenly appeared from the forest bordering the road, the older thief had a knife in hand, his face set in a frown as is gaze flickered between the boy and the Postman.
"Dante." this came from Rigis, the shorter man appearing shortly. He too carried a knife, but his expression was calmer. A shorter figure appeared and White recognized him to be one of the younger thieves, Alana.
"White, we came to take you back." Rigis said calmly and held Dante's shoulder. The two were not looking at White when they said this, their stare was on Alicel, as though daring the Postman to stop them.
White had no words, nothing came to mind. He was jarred from silence when the Postman continued walking, not even paying attention to Rigis and Dante. The taller man walked past the group and would have gone on if not-
"Alicel!"
The Postman paused and seemed to glance back, but White could not see his face, he had put the mask on. Without another word, he continued forward, one hand raised in a half-hearted goodbye.
"ALICE!!!"
Dante and Rigis jerked back when White rushed past them. The younger boy's face was sad and his gaze downcast, but they didn't miss the words mouthed by the pale lips. They could only watch as the small figure ran past them to follow the tall Postman's steps.
[I'm sorry...]
| |||| ||| ||| ||||| || ||| | || ||||| | ||| | ||| | || ||||||| |||| |
White walked a few paces after the silent Postman. Since they crossed paths with some of White's band, Alicel hadn't uttered a word. He hadn't even looked back once to check if the thief, now ex-thief; was following him.
"Alicel?" White tried again.
He'd tried catching the older man's attention. The mask stared at him dolefully with its large glass eyes from where it perched on the Postman's back. White stared at it with a murderous gaze, silently cursing the Postman's reaction. He had thought that Alicel would be happy that White had chosen him over people he'd grown up with but it seems that that wasn't the case.
Perhaps Alicel thought of him as a burden. After all, he had been against White joining the Post in the first place. Alicel had even set him free, urged him to leave, not once did the Postman asked him to stay.
Feeling a bit down, White fell into silence and stilled his steps. He watched the forest floor, listening to Alicel's footsteps fading away before it completely disappeared. Tears threatened to spill, the past few days had been enough to turn him into a crybaby, and he stubbornly wiped the threatening fluid away.
"What are you doing?"
Alicel was suddenly standing in front of him. Like a ghost, the Postman had stopped and turned back for the younger boy.
"I thought you don't want me to follow you." White sniffed and kept his head down.
"What are you talking about?"
"You didn't ask me to stay with you. You left me behind. You won't talk to me."
"Stupid brat." the thief heard the Postman sigh before a gloved hand cupped his chin.
"If I wanted you left behind, you wouldn't even see me going. How many times had I disappeared before your very eyes?" His face was tilted upward and White was made to peer at the exasperated smile on the Postman's lips.
"... but, you won't talk to me."
At this, Alicel turned his gaze away, a rather put-off frown gracing his brows.
"That's because you called me by a different name."
White's eyes widened in understanding and he chuckled into a lax fist.
"You're quite immature, Alicel."
"Shut up, brat."

The day was as hot as ever, but walking under the trees cooled them down. They followed the road for a couple of hours and when they got to the part where the path split off, one going north, the other south, Alicel continued west.
White followed hesitantly, wary of the dark shadows and the unspoken dangers of Eden. He stayed close to the Postman, stepping where he stepped.
The sounds bothered him. There were no crickets or cawing birds, there was only rustling. Endless rustling that didn't seem to come from anywhere. White gazed up, peering through the leaves for a glance of the sky. All he saw were dark shapes that might or might not be a threat.
Alicel didn't seem to notice, but White was pretty sure that those were eyes tracking them in the shadows. He kept glancing back every now and then, one hand grasping the Postman's cloak in a death grasp. When suddenly he was pulled closer and Alicel's cloak was thrown over him. Pressed against the taller man's side, he could feel the blonde tugging at his arms, urging him to wrap his arms around the Postman's midriff. He instantly complied and a hand firmly covered his eyes, when he tried to argue, another palm covered his mouth.
White walked blind for some time, it may have been an hour, or it may have been for a few minutes only. The only thing he knew was that despite being blinded, he could somehow sense eyes boring on his back. Shivers ran down his spine and he stiffled a whimper, his arms wrapping tighter around the Postman.
A sharp cry rang out near them, so near that White believed it was just behind them, a couple of footsteps after them. The cry was not human, nor animal for sure. He nearly screamed but Alicel's hand kept him quiet. This time, he really did cry. His tears running relentlessly as they continued moving forward.
The creature screeched every now and then, constantly following in their footsteps, constantly making White jolt into the Postman's body. He could have melded into Alicel, for all he cared.
Some time passed and whatever it was that was stalking them fell silent. Still, Alicel blinded him and led him forward. The pressure around him seemed to lighten and he was finally set free.
Blinking, White squeezed his eyes against the sunlight streaming down on them. They were standing on open space bordering a lake, Fog shrouded the water despite the heat and the thief could barely make out an island in the middle of the wide lake.
Trembling, the boy sank to his haunches and hugged his knees to himself as he wait for his nerves to ease. Whatever it was back there was gone but he swore he could still feel it's eyes on him still.
Still shaky, White was suddenly pulled on Alicel's laps, his limp arms made to encircle the Postman's neck. He quickly latched on tight and buried his face in the blonde's chest. Relief turned his limbs to noodles but Alicel's comforting touch and whispers slowly returned his strength. After the fear and panic, the comfort made him sleepy. The Postman didn't seem to mind as he picked the boy up and carried him down to the water.
| |||| ||| ||| ||||| || ||| | || ||||| | ||| | ||| | || ||||||| |||| |
He was walking in fog, surrounded by the vague forms of trees and leafage. Alicel was nowhere to be found and it was too silent. He tried calling for the Postman, but only his voice returned his call.
The fine hairs on the back of his neck and arm prickled in warning and off he went. He ran through the trees, weaving and stumbling. He didn't know why but he knew that if he stopped running, he'll die.
And suddenly his road ended.
| |||| ||| ||| ||||| || ||| | || ||||| | ||| | ||| | || ||||||| |||| |
White woke with a shout. Disoriented, he scrambled to a corner, curled up against himself for safety. He felt hands on his shoulders and in a panic, he pushed against the body to escape. Steel-like arms encircled his waist and pressed him against an hard but yielding body. He struggled even more, desperate to get away from the danger.
"Calm down brat."
Alicel's low voice pierced the fog his dream had left behind and White slowly ceased his struggles. Trembling, he pressed himself against the Postman who was ruffling his hair.
Then his knees gave way and he would have sunk to the floor if Alicel hadn't scooped him up into his arms.
White was carefully returned on the bed he had been sleeping on but the thief's arms loathed letting the Postman go.
"What's with him?" a strange voice asked. White couldn't pinpoint where it came from, his gaze was still riveted on Alicel's face, checking if the man before him was real or not.
"We ran into a Stalker." was Alicel's answer as he disentangled White's arms from his neck. As replacement, he sat down besides the boy and held him tight from the back.
"Tch. Those things are growing in number, and we still don't know what kills them proper. He didn't see it, did he? It would be bad if he did..."
"I covered his eyes, but I'm not sure..."
"One way to check."
Alicel tilted White's face up and peered into the black irises, they look dull and lifeless and the boy didn't seem to hear them.
"White, wake up brat." Alicel urged the boy. The dark gaze merely slid from his face to settle on nothing particular. The Postman frowned at the other person and tried calling White again.
"Odd, he doesn't seem broken but he's not reacting either."
"Tch! Yun, can you leave us alone for a while?"
| |||| ||| ||| ||||| || ||| | || ||||| | ||| | ||| | || ||||||| |||| |
Alicel sighed in frustration as the door closed behind the other Postman. Yun was another Postman, a rare female of the group. She was on her way back as well, though she hadn't stopped by Coralie as Alicel had done.
After White had fainted, Alicel had carried the lithe body down to the boating docks where he found Yun waiting for the transport from the island. He had tucked White in bed as they waited for nightfall since that was the only time that the boatman would set out. Between midnight and dawn was the only time that the acidic fog hanging over the lake would thin out, enough to sail over without melting them to pudding.
The Postman propped the limp boy against his chest and steeled himself for what was going to happen next. The Stalked had followed them for over an hour, normal people wouldn't have lasted 10 minutes under it's torture. They hadn't been physically harmed but the stress on one's mind would be enough to knock them off for some time if they had panicked.
The Stalker was one of the odder creatures of Eden. Tall, gaunt and pale, the Stalker vaguely resembled humans if not for it's lack of hair, eyes, ears and nose. It's head was egg-shaped, human-like and in the middle of it's face was a hole that seemed to twist its way into the Stalker's head. The creature walked with a hunch, yet it still towered over the Postman.
No one knew how to kill it, many had tried; fire, bullets, blades; nothing worked well. Stalkers generally lived alone, but some people had claimed to have seen them in pairs as well.
Stalkers were blind, the hole in their face was more of voicebox. Their mouth can be found under their chin, and basically anyone who had been able to get close enough to look into their mouths had died.
The hole was an interesting feature. The creature's spine-curling cry comes from the hole, best description of the sound would be a baby's scream at nails-on-blackboard octaves. A Stalker drives their prey to panic and dementia and would often strike humans and other creatures down once they broke their mind. The damn creatures would often follow their prey for days on end, thus the term Stalker.
And they don't just hunt and eat like wolves do. Stalkers would only eat something if their mind was broken by the fear and panic. Thus, the Post had realized that the best way to avoid being dinner was by keeping one's cool and wits around. If the thing wasn't hungry enough, it'd leave you alone and find someone else to scare.
However, even if someone knew how to escape Stalkers, it still didn't mean that they were in the clear. In fear, the body will start to pump adrenaline, constantly keeping one high and awake. Once that person was able to escape the threat, the body will calm down and relax, the adrenaline supposedly used up. That's only for short instances.
If it goes on for far too long, the body will continue to pump adrenaline despite the heart relaxing. The body won't be able to dispose of the chemical fast enough and in turn the leftover adrenaline would be converted into a certain kind of protein inhibitor that attack the brain's synapses. Nerve blocks will be set up and the body will fall into a temporary coma that would last from some hours to weeks. The only way to prevent it was to keep the body in constant excitement and keep the heart pumping until the body would be able to dispose of the leftover chemicals.
Which means, either Alicel do something drastic such as setting fire to their surroundings or...
With a sigh, the Postman cursed himself, fully knowing that he'll never end up in heaven with what he was going to do next.
He wrapped one arm around the boy's waist and pulled White close. The thief flopped against him like a doll, head lolling to the side. At least, he was still breathing, Alicel muttered.
He let out another sigh and prepared himself.
| |||| ||| ||| ||||| || ||| | || ||||| | ||| | ||| | || ||||||| |||| |
White was floating. He felt like he was swimming underwater, comfort and safety around him. He was content with where he was and he let his eyes close.
Then lightning struck.
It electrified the water around him and made White gasp with the intensity of it. The boy found the water oppressing, drowning him. Gasping for breath, the boy broke the surface and stared straight into Alicel's stormy blue eyes.
"Wh-what?" the boy stammered as he realized what exactly was happening.
The Postman had White on his lap, the boy's legs were spread and naked. His shorts lay in a small heap on the floor and his shirt was pulled up to his armpits, his full torso uncovered and writhing under the blonde's hands.
"Good to have you back. Now stay still while I get your heart working." Alicel merely answered and grasped White's young cock again. He pulled at it roughly, milking the thief of his last orgasm.
White's head was running in circles, the situation was too weird, too dangerous. His body betrayed him as he arched into the rough palms that was building him into his second arousal.
"A-Alice!" he cried in a scandalized voice as he tried to twist away from Postman. All he managed to do was some sort of wiggle that quickly stilled under the older man's touch.
He was close to cumming, and it had barely been five minutes since his last. The thief had no idea why this was happening but there was nothing he can do as the heat burst out of him and all over the Postman's hand.
White breathed deeply, back pressed against the hard chest behind him. His legs were made of jelly as he tried to dismount from his seat, but the warm vise around his waist kept him still. Through teary eyes, White peered at Alicel in question, noting the frown that didn't leave the bonde's face.
If he thought they were done, he had another thing coming.
With a small movement, White found himself lying facedown on the bed as the Postman sat by his side. Warm palms were massaging his shoulders, urging him to breathe slower. Once his breathe stopped hitching, White found one of Alicel's hands lingering over his backside, one questioning finger pressing against his hole.
The thief's eyes widened in shock as the digit slid in him easily, too easily. He wondered what exactly had Alicel done to him while he was unconscious.
The finger, though uncomfortable was by no means painful. Almost as though he was looking for something, Alicel dragged the flat of the digit against White's inside walls, pressing every now and then for something.
And when he found it, White swore he saw stars.
Pleasure better than the one he gained from playing with himself attacked his senses. White could hardly keep his voice to himself anymore as he bucked into the bed. And then he was being flipped to his back, the finger staying within him through the small act.
With a groan, White raised his knees to accomodate Alicel's hand better. With that one action, he was painfully hard again. And Alicel noted it with a lopsided smile before pressing on that sweet sweet spot again and again.
"Yah! Alice! Alice!" with every jolt, White chanted Alicel's nickname, completely forgetting to mention that one letter, that kept the Postman's temper harnessed.
"Shut up White," Alicel growled into the thief's neck before sinking his teeth into the pale flesh.
That was the final straw, with a scream that Yun was sure to hear, White arched his body off the bed, walls clenching down on Alicel's finger and his greatest orgasm yet was wrenched out of him. Through his pleasure-blurred eyes, he thought he saw a frown cross the Postman's brows.
Alicel merely stared as he pulled his finger out of the boy's deliciously convulsing hole and wiped the juices off a towel. While White twitched with the remnants of his excitement, the Postman wiped his torso with the towel.
White groaned as the Postman cleaned him up. He was so tired after what they did. Three orgasms within the hour was too much, Alicel was pushing it. And the Postman hadn't even made a move to enjoy himself, it was as though the blonde was focused on squeezing out every last drop of pleasure from him instead.
The thief lay where he was and grabbed hold of the Postman's sleeve.
"What was that?" he asked shakily as he pulled his shirt down.
"Your heart changed rhythms too quickly. If I let you go on sleeping like that, you'd have slipped into a coma." was Alicel's answer as he picked up White's shorts from the floor and handed it to the thief.
"Don't worry, other than getting your heart rate up and relieving your pent-up stash, I had no other reasons for touhching you like I did." The Postman rose to his feet and stretched to his full height before glancing down at the thief. There was no trace of the pained expression that White glimpsed earlier. Instead, the usual care-free smile was in place.
White stared at the Postman through half-lidded eyes, mostly becuase he was suspicious of the smile on Alicel's face. But he'd gone this far after all, and the last stretch of the journey was in front of them.
With a long-suffering sigh, White grabbed the hand offered to him and tottered the few steps to the Postman's side. In this world, there was only Alicel left. And White had the suspicion, that whatever the blonde does to him, he'll be able to forgive.
After all, the Postman is a demon.

He can only deliver letters, the future had always been kept secret from him.
| |||| ||| ||| ||||| || ||| | || ||||| | ||| | ||| | || ||||||| |||| |
[I'm sorry...]
| |||| ||| ||| ||||| || ||| | || ||||| | ||| | ||| | || ||||||| |||| |
"Shut up, brat."
| |||| ||| ||| ||||| || ||| | || ||||| | ||| | ||| | || ||||||| |||| |
The Postman didn't seem to mind as he picked the boy up and carried him down to the water.
| |||| ||| ||| ||||| || ||| | || ||||| | ||| | ||| | || ||||||| |||| |
And suddenly his road ended.
| |||| ||| ||| ||||| || ||| | || ||||| | ||| | ||| | || ||||||| |||| |
"Tch! Yun, can you leave us alone for a while?"
| |||| ||| ||| ||||| || ||| | || ||||| | ||| | ||| | || ||||||| |||| |
He let out another sigh and prepared himself.
| |||| ||| ||| ||||| || ||| | || ||||| | ||| | ||| | || ||||||| |||| |

And on to "The Post" next weekend!
Apologies for the late chapter, it was a town fiesta weekend and I was too busy playing the daughter-of-the-family for strangers whose names I'll never remember.
Ahah~ so tiring~
But as always, your reviews would pick me up from the bottom of the deepest hell! *niku*
