Chapter Four:

Keigo sat in his office staring at the picture in his hand.  He stared at it intently. It was a picture of him and Sena together. Sena was smiling happily at the camera while hugging him. The picture had been taken on Keigo’s twenty second birthday. Keigo asked himself many times why he had not burned the picture, but he could never come up with an answer to his own question. He put the picture down and leaned back. He closed his eyes and let his memories take over.

---

It was a lovely afternoon as Sena ran through the crowd of people. He didn't want to be late to meet up with his brothers Seiya and Takashi. In his haste, he ran almost headlong into a tall guy wearing a blue shirt and dark jeans. The guy caught Sena by the shoulders to steady him when he lost his balance. His dark eyes searched Sena’s face with amusement.

“I'm sorry,” Sena gasped, apologizing to the guy. The guy was very tall, Sena only came up to his chin.

“There is no need. I am not hurt,” Keigo replied in a deep voice.

“I'll watch where I’m going next time. Right now I am in a hurry,” said Sena and he ran off.

Keigo watched the boy from where he was standing. The boy was pretty cute. He had never met a boy as cute as this one. He hoped to run into him again. Perhaps he would learn the boy’s name as well. It was not until three days later that Keigo managed to meet up with Sena again.

Sena bit his lip as he tried to decide which necklace would make a perfect present for his sister’s birthday.

“Having trouble deciding?” Keigo asked from behind the boy, startling him in the process. He had spotted the boy from the clothing store across the street from the jewelry store and couldn’t resist approaching the boy.

Sena turned around and saw that it was the guy he ran into three days ago. This time the guy was wearing a white shirt and a black leather jacket that went with his black jeans.

“Hi,” Sena managed to say shyly. “I am trying to decide which necklace would make a great present for my older sister. She is turning twenty one today,” he told the guy.

Keigo smiled and pointed to a necklace with a diamond in the center. “How about that one? Every girl loves diamonds and I am sure that your sister is no different,” he told the boy.

Sena thought long and hard on what the guy said, and then he decided to go with the stranger’s suggestion. A few minutes later he walked out of the jewelry store with his sister’s birthday present. He turned to the guy beside him.

“Thank you for your help,” he said and bowed to show his thanks.

Keigo chuckled, finding the boy’s action amusing and cute at the same time. “Instead of a thank you, can I get your name instead?” he asked the boy.

“Sena.  Sena Toru,” replied Sena.

“Sena, I love that name. It suits you,” said Keigo, and he meant it too. “Well Sena, I'm Keigo. Call me Keigo if you don't mind.”

“Keigo,” Sena said the name with a smile that made Keigo’s heartbeat speed up.

----

A soft knock on his office door brought him out of his memories. Keigo opened his eyes and asked whoever it was to come in.

“Keigo,” Yuto said as he entered his brother’s office.

“What do you want Yuto?” Keigo asked his brother with a sigh.

“I want to leave work early today Keigo.  I have to meet up with someone,” Yuto told his brother as he came forward. “Come on Kei--,” he stopped in mid sentence and picked up the picture on his brother’s desk.

“Keigo, I thought you had burned all of his pictures when you broke up with him!” said Yuto with fury.

“I happen to like this picture,” came Keigo’s reply to his brother. Then he snatched the picture back from Yuto’s hand and put it away in the top drawer of his desk.

“Keigo for God’s sake, how would you explain the picture to your wife if she found it?”  Yuto tried to talk some sense into his older brother.

“How the hell is she supposed to find out when I have it locked in my desk? Unless you want to be a good brother in law and tell her yourself?” snapped Keigo. “I have no intention of getting rid of this picture. It’s the only one I have left of Sena. Of the happy memories I had with him before I ripped his heart to shreds,” he added in a firm voice that told his brother he wasn't going to change his mind about the picture.

Yuto leaned forward with his palms flat on the desk. “Keigo, let me tell you this. Sena isn't ever going to come back to you, I made sure of that. The Sena who is here now, he is not the one you are longing for,” Yuto said. Then he left, leaving his brother to puzzle over what he just said.

“What the hell did Yuto mean?” What did Yuto do to Sena, Keigo wondered as an uneasy feeling came over him. The only person who could answer his question was Sena. He would have to get Sena alone and have a little chat with him, especially about the man beside him in the car that morning. “Sena, why do you have to be so goddamn pretty?  Even after all these years I still can't forget you,” he said to himself.

------

“Is it okay to give such an important task to me on my first day of work Takashi?” Seiya asked his brother as he looked over the document while holding a cup of coffee in one hand.

“I wouldn't have given it to you Seiya if I didn't think that you could do it,” replied Takashi. “If you get this one important thing done for me Seiya, you are free to start your evil plan,” he added a second later with a grin.

“When is the deadline?” Seiya asked his brother as he sipped his coffee.

“Two weeks,” answered Takashi.

“I'll get it for you by the end of this week,”  Seiya said with a smile that his brother knew so well.

“I know that smile Seiya. I am just glad that I'm not your enemy,” said Takashi as he got up and walked over to the window to look outside. “You are going to destroy him aren't you? You are going to take everything away from him aren't you?”

“An eye for an eye,” said Seiya as he leaned back against his chair and continued to sip his coffee.

“Oh yeah Seiya, who was that man who dropped you off in front of our building this morning?” Takashi asked his brother from out of the blue.

Seiya was drinking his coffee when his brother asked him. His surprise caused him to spit it all out. He quickly reached for a tissue and wiped his mouth and then his desk before he answered his brother.

“That man is Akari’s uncle,” Seiya replied with a sigh and slumped back against his chair.

“So he is the younger brother of Akari’s mother?” asked Takashi.

Seiya nodded his head. “That man is a pain in the ass,” he muttered with a grim look on his face.

“You don't like him?” Takashi asked his brother with a grin.

“Yes. I don't like him. The man has been nothing but a pain to deal with,” Seiya told his brother. He decided to change the subject to the document on his desk. He didn't want to talk about Kyouya or think about him either.  The man gave him strange feelings. “So Takashi why do you want that place so much?” he asked his brother.

“That company originally belonged to Miyu’s father, but he was tricked into selling it five years ago by the current owner,” replied Takashi.

“If that is the case then I will see to it that you get it in three days,” Seiya told his brother with a smile.

“I knew I could count on you Seiya,” said Takashi as he walked over to the door. “Are you visiting him today?” he asked his brother as he opened the door to leave.

“Yes,” replied Seiya. “You’re welcome to come along if you want Takashi.”

“I wish I could, but I will be staying late tonight to finish a few things. Tell Sena that I said hi,”  Takashi said and he left.

----

Straight after work, Seiya went to the nearest flower shop and bought a batch of fresh flowers. Then he took a taxi to the cemetery. He was staring out the passenger window when he happened to see Yuto kissing a slim looking woman and walking into a love hotel. The woman looked to be no more than nineteen. If that man thought that he could cheat on Akari and get away with it then he was mistaken, Seiya thought with a murderous look on his face.

Seiya got out of the taxi, paid the driver and went into the cemetery. He made his way to his brother’s grave with the flowers in his hand. “I'm here to visit you again Sena,” he said as he placed the flowers on the grave. “Takashi said hi. He wanted to come but work kept him away,” he told his brother softly. “Today I started work at Takashi’s company. He named his company S.S. Do you know what it stands for Sena? Of course you do Sena, after all you were pretty smart,” he said with soft chuckle.

Seiya stood up and gazed up at the grey sky. “Sena, I promised you that I would protect Akari and that is what I intend to do. I won't let anyone hurt Akari.  If anyone dares to hurt her, I will make them regret it.” After making this vow to his brother, he said goodbye and left, unaware that someone had seen him and heard every word he just said. That someone silently shed tears as they came toward Sena’s grave after he left.

----

Seiya had his hand in his pocket as he waited to cross the street. A familiar silver car stopped right in front of him. The dark window rolled down to reveal the driver who was none other than Kyouya, the man he wanted to avoid at all costs.

“Get in!” ordered Kyouya in a voice that left no room for argument.

“I'm not going anywhere with you. Akari is expecting me back at home,” Seiya refused the man and turned around to walk away, wanting to get as far away from the man as possible.

Kyouya got out of his car and leaned against it. “Seiya Wataru,” he called out softly with a smirk on his face.

Seiya spun around, eyes wide and filled with panic. If the man knew his name, then he must also know a lot of other things about him. “H-how did you know my name?” he asked the damn bastard as he fought the urge  to run up and smack the smirk right off the man’s arrogant face. Instead he slowly walked over to the man.

“Easy really,” replied Kyouya, and he took out a black wallet from his suit jacket.

Seiya immediately snatched the wallet from Kyouya’s hand. “You bastard! How did you get your hands on my wallet?” he growled out. Yesterday when he returned home, he found out that he had lost his wallet, but he couldn't remember where he could have dropped it.

“Remember that man you ran into at the cafe yesterday morning?” Kyouya reminded the boy. “That man is my secretary. After he got his hands on your wallet and found out your name, he was able to find out a lot of stuff about you.”

“You son of a bitch!” Seiya shouted loudly. What he feared had become truth. The damn man had not only found out who he was, but also who his family was as well.

“Lower your voice boy, there is no need for that unless you want an audience,” Kyouya reminded Seiya where they were.

“What do you want with me?” Seiya hissed at the man.

“Get in the car and I'll tell you,” said Kyouya as he opened the rear passenger door for the boy.

Seiya bit his lip to keep himself in control of his temper. As he was about to get inside, a car came out of nowhere and sped towards them. He felt Kyouya grab him by the shoulders and the next thing he knew, he was on top of Kyouya, wrapped securely in his arms.

“Are you alright?” Kyouya asked the boy clinging tightly to his shirt.

“I'm fine, what about you?” Seiya asked Kyouya, worried for the man who just saved his life.  He tried to mask his worry with his angry look though.

Kyouya was about to answer the boy when two big men jumped out of the car that tried to run them over, and ran over to them with pistols in their hands.

“You will come with us,” said one of the men, pointing his pistol at Seiya.

“What about me?" Kyouya asked the men as they pulled the boy off him. He wondered who these men were and what they were planning to do with the boy. He couldn’t let them take the boy without him. If he need to, he would convince them to take him as well. Thankfully he didn't have to.

“You are also coming with us. We can't take the risk of you informing Kyouya Choushiro,” said the man next to him as he motioned with his pistol for Kyouya to move towards the car.

What a bunch of idiot. They had no idea that he was Kyouya Choushiro, Kyouya thought as he and Seiya were shoved into the car. The two men came in right behind them with their pistols. The scrawny one shouted for the driver to go and off they went, leaving a crowd of panicked people who stood by, too afraid for their own lives to do anything but watch them get taken away.

----

The car pulled up at an old house deep in the forest four hours later. Seiya and Kyouya’s hands were tied up before they were shoved inside. The house was a small with windows that were too small for either of them to escape through.  There was a small bed with a single mattress and a wooden chair. The house also contained a small table, a lamp and a bathroom with only a toilet and bathtub and a sink. A paper towel roll and two rolls of toilet paper sat on the bathroom floor.

“You two are staying here,” said the scrawny one as he cut the rope and freed their hands.

“What do you want with me? Why did you bring me here?” Seiya asked them when they were about to leave him alone with Kyouya.

“Someone paid us a huge sum of money to make sure that you were dead boy. We were asked to make it look like an accident, and since we failed to run you over with our car, we decided very quickly to bring you here and hide you until we get our money.”

“Who?” Seiya asked, wanting to know who wanted him dead.

“We didn't bother to ask his name,” replied the scrawny one. “No more questions. We are leaving.”  With that said, the two men left, locking them inside the small house together. A few seconds later, they heard the car drive away.

“Shit!” Seiya cursed out loud and kicked the chair in front of him, sending it flying across the room.

“Relax boy, everything will be fine,” Kyouya said with a calm expression as he sat down on the single bed and started to take off his shoes.

“What are you doing?” Seiya asked when he saw Kyouya taking off his shoes then proceeding to take off his suit

“I don’t plan to sleep in my suit,” came Kyouya’s reply as he put the jacket neatly on the small table and then started to work on unbuttoning his blue shirt.

“How can you sleep when we are in this kind of situation?” Seiya asked the man in disbelief. How could the damn man be so calm when they had just been kidnapped and stuffed into a room this size with no food or water, Seiya wondered.

“I can sleep in any kind of situation boy,” Kyouya replied as he continued to unbutton his shirt, his eyes focused on Seiya.

Seiya sighed. He picked up the chair he kicked earlier and sat on it. He stared at Kyouya. “So what did you want to talk about before those men interrupted us earlier?” he asked. Since he wasn't getting out of this hellhole anytime soon, he might as well find out how much Kyouya knew about him.

“I don't feel like continuing our conversation from earlier in this kind of environment boy. You are going to have to wait to get your answers from me,” answered Kyouya with a smirk as he took off his shirt and put it on top of his suit.

Seiya was annoyed with the damn man, but when he saw Kyouya stand up and unbuckle his belt, he dashed out of the chair and stopped the man before he could take off his pants. “Leave your damn pants on!” he demanded.

“I don't sleep in my pants boy. I like to sleep naked,” said Kyouya with laughter in his eyes.

“You are not going to sleep bare naked with me in the room so forget about it!” Seiya hissed at the man.

Kyouya merely smiled at the boy. As for Seiya, he continued to warn the man with his glare, not letting go of the man’s hand.

-------

“Akari, are you alright? You don't look to good.”

Akari smiled at her lawyer friend. “I’m fine Yohei, just a bit hazy. Everything looks like a blur to me,” she said as she watched the crowd of people chatting and getting to know each other with  glasses of champagne in their hands.

“This party sucks Akari. How about I take you home?” said Yohei, trying to convince his friend to leave so that he could take her to the hospital. He didn't like the way she looked. Akari looked even worse than she did the day before when she had come to see him to change her will.

Yuto showed up next to them at that moment with a fake smile on his face. “Akari, how do you like the party?” he asked his wife.

“It’s great,” Akari lied and swayed to one side. Yohei caught her by the shoulder and steadied her.

"I think that your wife isn't feeling very well Yuto. Don't you think you should to leave this party early and take her home?” Yohei asked the man in a not so kind voice.

Yuto sneered at the man and then turned to his wife. "Akari you are free to leave anytime you want. As for me, I am staying. There are so many people here that I have to meet. You do understand where I am coming from don't you?”

Akari forced a smile on her face and nodded her head. As soon as she did, her husband left her side. “Yohei get me out of here,” she told her friend in a weak voice.

Yohei was more than happy to. In no time at all, he had Akari in the backseat of his car. Instead of driving her home, he drove straight to the hospital. On his way to the hospital, Akari suddenly started coughing and blood came out from her mouth. She looked up at her friend and then went unconscious.

“Akari hang on, we are almost there!” Yohei yelled out as he stepped on the gas.

---

“Doctor Wataru, you’re working the night shift again?” said a young male doctor when he spotted him.

“Taiga looked up from the chart in his hand and smiled at his young coworker. “The same could be said about you, Riku.”

Riku chuckled. “True. Is your brother dropping by tonight as well?” Riku asked Taiga.

“Takashi should be here soon with some rice balls from my mother,” Taiga replied with a chuckle as well. As if on cue, his brother Takashi appeared in his line of sight with a bag and a bright smile as he came walking towards him.

“Taiga,  Mother made you some rice balls. You better eat them or she will give you an earful,” said Takashi when he reached his brother and his coworker.

“Tell Mother thank you for me will you Takashi?” said Taiga as he took the bag from his brother.

“Tell her yourself when you come home,” replied Takashi. “You haven't been home for three days Taiga. Mother is worried about your health,” he told his brother.

“Tell Mom that I’ll try to be home tomorrow,” Taiga said to his brother just as a man walked into the emergency entrance, carrying a unconscious woman in his arm and shouting for a doctor.

Taiga shoved the bag back to his brother and went to see what was wrong. “I'm a doctor,” he said to the tall man with dark hair and blue eyes. When he reached the man and saw the very pale color of the unconscious woman’s face, he knew right away that he would have to act fast.

“Riku!” he yelled, “prepare the operating room!”

“Akari!” Takashi said from behind his brother. He was surprised and shocked. He stood by the man who brought Akari in and watched the doctor and the nurse wheel Akari away to the operating room as Taiga gave out orders.

“May I ask who you are?” the man beside him asked.

“I'm Takashi Wataru and the doctor who just left with Akari is my younger brother Taiga Wataru.”

“Wataru? Are you related to Seiya Wataru perhaps?” the man asked.

“Yes, he is my brother,” replied Takashi looking at the man beside him. “Who are you and how do you know my brother and Akari?” he asked with suspicion.

“I'm Akari’s friend and her lawyer.  My name is Yohei. Akari came to see me yesterday to change her will. She left all her money to your brother Seiya Wataru.”

Takashi’s eyes widened with surprise. So Akari does know that Seiya is not Sena, he thought.
