Chapter 4- Unfriendly Meetings (Niko’s Journal)

It was my 2nd week at the academy, and I had just found out during class that photos would be taken today. Usually it’s not done until the end of the year, but this time they decided to get them out of the way early to focus on classes. The bell had rung already, and it was time to get our pictures taken. All the guys were panicking, though for some I don’t see why. Bryant; for example looked like he was a model with his nice blue jeans and vest jacket. He had undone his jacket today and his chest was bare. Did I mention this school really doesn’t have too strict a dress code? I really didn’t mind seeing his chest. It looked like it was smooth and creamy, but at the same time muscle from his pectorals made it burst out. He wasn’t overly huge which would make a guy look sick, he was just right.
Ian on the other hand looked shy as ever to be in front of the camera. Which to me was odd after seeing him last week in the art class having sex? He obviously wasn’t as shy as he let out to be. Again I don’t mind he had a great body, and he was nice and long too. I thought to myself, “oh no,” I had forgotten to delete the recording on that camera I borrowed from the school. If anybody watched that video I would be tracked down. I realized I had to delete it right away before anybody found out. I snuck away from the crowed near the camera lady and headed for the AV room.
When I arrived it was empty; which was good because I was really scared there for a minute. I tried to find the camera I had checked out. I remember it was black with a white lens cap, but there were a few like that so I would have to check them all. I started my search checking each camera for the video one by one. Getting more and more anxious each time a camera was incorrect. I had gotten to the last one, and I was almost afraid to open it. My hand trembling as it touched the side area of the camera. I heard a distinct voice from behind me.
“You were looking for this.” I turned to see Ian standing there holding a digital camera in his left hand. He knew; he hadn’t said so yet, but I could tell he knew.
“Um… You didn’t happen to see anything did you Ian?” I asked, knowing the answer in the back of my mind.
“Yeah I seen your little peepshow of me, and I have to day I’m a little ticked off.” Ian had an intense look in his eyes. “The next time you want to go taping other peoples personal lives you get permission, got it!” He shoved the camera into my chest hard, and walked away.
He seemed really uneasy about the whole thing. I opened up the camera to check and see if the video was gone. It was; he had already deleted it. I felt kind of bad about what I had done, but at the time had no idea what to do about it. I ran back to the line for pictures and saw Ian there. He stared at me with a blank look in his eyes, like I had done something wrong. I had really; it wasn’t my place to record what I did. I noticed he was talking to Jasper. Jasper gave me a quick look and then focused his attention back to Ian. Was a story going around that I am a peeping tom? I really hope not I had only been here two weeks, and already I feel like I’m a part of a scandal.
I started to wonder if Jasper was the guy with Ian that day. Come to think of it the past few days at school they had been talking a lot. I couldn’t be sure though, there wasn’t enough evidence. It was my turn to take a picture. I walked up to the stool, and got up on it. I tried to get the hair out of my eyes, while adjusting myself for a nice pose. After all this was my school photo and it was my first one. After the picture was shot, I got down and headed over to Riku.
“How did your picture turn out Riku?” I asked trying to be casual.
“I am not taking mine; I don’t much care for pictures.” I was shocked I figured he loved getting that body on paper, I know I would. It was about a week ago that I and he had a one on one so to speak behind a coffee shop. It was probably the best moment I have had yet, but I don’t want to jinx myself.
“Well I’m supposed to help out with a few things at my house today so I will be heading home now.” I waved as Riku and I said our goodbyes. I started to head home. My house wasn’t too far away from the school, maybe a block and a half or so. As I approached my house, it felt as if someone was following me. I turned around to check, but no one was there.
“Strange?” I told myself. I started to walk again, and this time I heard something. I jolted my head around to see who it was, but again nobody. I turned my head back and ran right into Jasper, who through his left hand around my back and his other hand slide into my pants.
“What are you doing?” I said in a shock.
Jasper brought his lips closer to mine, “you stay away from my man…” He said gently while staring into my eyes. He closed his eyes, and pressed his lips to mine.
