Chapter Four:

It took Vasile longer than he expected to catch up to the angry boy. Dara stopped and turned, looking straight at him with a frown on his face as he approached. He figured that the boy must have heard him approaching. “I thought for sure that you would try to escape again. I was looking forward to chasing after you and then giving you a good whipping to my heart’s content. What a pity that you didn't,” commented Vasile.

If the man thought for a second that he would cower in fear after that comment, then he was mistaken big time. His mother and uncle had not raised him to be a coward and he had no intention of becoming one. Dara crossed his arms in front of him. “Then I must be sure that you will never find me when I do escape from here,” Dara said with a smirk.

Instead of being furious with Dara, Vasile found himself liking the boy even more. What was more surprising was that he found himself enjoying the quarrels that he had with the boy. He smiled and leaned forward, his face almost came into contact with Dara. “Let me tell you this boy. You will never escape from me. I will find you no matter how far you go. ”

“Really? What makes you so sure?” Dara asked.

“It’s simple boy, it’s because...” Vasile stopped himself in time and let out a short chuckle. The boy almost had him there. He had almost revealed something important that the boy could use to escape from him. He would have to be more careful next time. He flashed the boy a wide grin. “Sorry to disappoint you boy, I have no intention of helping you to escape from me.”

Dara frowned and muttered out a few curses, causing Vasile to let out another chuckle. Vasile reached out and grabbed the boy by the wrist. “Let’s not delay this wonderful night any longer boy. I have been looking forward to tonight!” said Vasile. He then dragged the boy back to his chamber. He was a bit surprised to find that the boy was not struggling. But his surprise was cut short when they arrived in his bedchamber. As soon as Vasile let go of the boy’s wrist, he was made to regret it. The boy struck his head from behind with a pouch filled with stones. A normal person would have crumbled down to the floor and lost consciousness right away. Vasile was more thankful than ever that he was a dragon and not a human.

Vasile flashed the boy a furious glare. “You will be punished for that little stunt you just pulled boy!”

Dara hurried over to the wide open window.

“Stay where you are boy so I can punish you!” Vasile yelled out.

Dara glanced out the window, measuring how far down it would be to the ground below. It was already dark outside, making it hard for him to see how high he was from the ground below. It didn't look like they were that far off the ground. He thought he should be okay if he jumped down. He turned his attention back to the man glaring furiously at him. “Only a fool would stay and I'm no fool!” he retorted. Then he climbed over and jumped down before the man could reach him. Dara completely forgot that he was dealing with a dragon. He was surprised when huge claws came out of nowhere and wrapped themselves around him, grasping him so tightly that he could barely breathe.

“Damn you! Let me go! I can't breathe!” gasped Dara. The dragon showed no sign of having heard Dara and this pissed Dara off. He howled out as many curses as he could think of at the dragon until his throat became too dry for him to continue. The dragon landed on the ground, and right before it transformed it let Dara go. However, before Dara could make haste to escape and was turning to run, a pair of hands gripped his wrists tightly, spinning him around to face a pair of angry gold eyes bearing down at him.

“You silly human boy! What were you thinking jumping out of the window like that? You could have broken your pretty little neck!” Vasile shouted angrily.

“What did you expect? Of course I would choose death over your cruel punishment!” Dara snapped. His voice too was filled with anger.

“I was only going to give you a good spanking for that little stunt you pulled,” said Vasile. “For God’s sake boy I was not going to torture you to death for something as small as that!”

“Like I would believe a dragon!” Dara snorted.

“You really hate our kind don't you boy?”

“Yes that's right. I hate all you damn dragons. I hate you dragons with a passion!”

“Why do you hate us?” Vasile asked.

“Is there really a need for you to ask? You dragons should know by now why humans hate and fear you. You dragons are evil killers who kill defenseless people.”

“You make us out to be the only evil things in this world boy, when in fact there are things that are far more evil in this world than us dragons. You humans are just as evil as us dragons. The only difference between us dragons and you humans is that we don't stab each other in the back."

Dara turned his face away after hearing what Vasile said. “I never said that we humans were angels. There are evil people and good people,” he said softly. “I have never met a dragon that was good, or heard of a dragon with a kind heart.”

“Really?”

“Yes!” snapped Dara, then he looked back up at the man before him. "If I had met or heard of a dragon that was not evil, then I wouldn't have judged your kind so harshly.” It killed him to admit it.

The man smiled down at him. Dara noticed the blood trailing down the side of the man’s neck, and without thinking, he reached up and wiped it away with the sleeve of his shirt. When he realized what he just did he quickly pulled his hand away, but he wasn't quick enough. The man caught his hand. Dara looked up and saw the man gazing down at him.

Vasile caught the boy’s hand and held on to it. “Thank you,” he whispered. Then to his surprise, the boy blushed. It only lasted for a short moment but he swore that he would remember it for life. The boy’s blushing face was too enchanting for him to forget. Dara quickly pulled his hand away from him and turned his back to him.

“It doesn't mean anything. I still hate you.”

Vasile laughed. “You can hate me all you want boy. It doesn't change a damn thing. You belong to me now, that is all I care about. Now let’s get back to my bedchamber.”

Dara spun around to face Vasile right away. “Are you asking for a punch in the face?” said Dara. He was back to glaring at the man once more. “Don't think for a second that I will let you have your way with me without a fight.”

Vasile frowned and reached out to take the boy’s hand. He tightened his hold on the boy and dragged the reluctant boy back inside the palace and straight to his bed chamber. The boy struggled all the way. Twice Dara broke free of his hold and he had to chase after the boy.

“For a boy as slender as you, one would expect you to be weak not strong,” remarked Vasile. "But I guess that is what gives you the advantage over those who are quick to judge you," he added.

“I'll take that as a compliment,” said Dara with sarcasm.

Vasile tossed the boy onto the bed and then turned to lock the door. He turned back to see the boy sitting calmly on his bed smiling at him. Now that he didn't expect. He let his guard down. He went over and undid his robe. He climbed into bed and pushed the smiling boy down into the soft mattress. He gently caressed the boy’s cheek. As he bent down to kiss the boy’s lips, he felt cold steel resting right between his thighs. He didn't even have to guess what it was.

“It would be wise for you to remove yourself off of me if you want to remain in good condition,” Dara said, his smile now turned smug.

Vasile sighed in defeat and moved off the boy. He strode over to his door, opened it and yelled out for Sasha. He kept his eyes on the boy now sitting cross legged in his bed wearing a victorious smirk on his face.

“What is it Master?” Sasha asked as soon as he appeared.

Vasile bent down and whispered something into Sasha’s ear. Sasha nodded and left right away. Vasile turned to the boy. “I will leave you here alone for now boy. When I return, I hope that you will be more agreeable.” With that said, he left, sliding the lock into place.

Dara sighed and lay down on the comfy bed. Thinking that he had won, he let his guard down. He quickly sat back up when he heard the door unlock, and Sasha entered the room carrying a tray filled with delicious food. Dara’s stomach growled at the smell of the food. He remembered then that he hadn't eaten anything at all since he got there two days ago.

“Don't you dare touch the Master’s meal boy!” Sasha warned the boy. Then he left the room with a secret smile. He shut the door and sure enough, he heard the boy eating. He laughed silently.

Dara wasn't about to touch the damn food no matter how hungry he was, but when he was warned off of it because it belong to that damn dragon man, he didn't hesitate one bit. He began eating everything in sight, just to see the man’s scowling face when he returned to find his food eaten. He chuckled at that thought, completely unaware that he had fallen into a trap.

Vasile rose from his bath and Sasha helped him into his new robe. “Thank you Sasha.”

“There is no need for that Master. I am your servant, it is my duty to help you,” replied Sasha.

Vasile lifted Sasha’s chin up and stared down into Sasha’s eyes. “You are more than a servant to me Sasha, you are my adorable little brother.”

“Yes yes! I am your adorable little brother Vasile, but right now I am your loyal servant. Now get moving! I think by now the boy will be sleeping comfortably in your bed.”

As soon as Sasha reminded him of the stubborn boy in his bedchamber, Vasile was out the door in a flash. He was going to strip the boy and let him sleep naked next to him. Tomorrow he would lie to the boy that they had done it. Then the boy would have no other choice than to accept him. Vasile chuckled right before he flung the door open to find the boy not sleeping, but thrashing from side to side in his bed. Worried, he went over and reached out to touch the boy. The boy’s body was as hot as fire.

“Sasha!” he yelled out.

Sasha rushed over right away, “What’s wrong Master?” he asked.

“This is what’s wrong!” Vasile pointed to the feverish boy thrashing in his bed. “I don't remember giving you orders to give him an aphrodisiac.”

Sasha smacked himself on the head for forgetting to make sure that he had the right drug. “I'm so sorry Master! I should have checked to see if I had gotten the right one.

Vasile sat down on the bed beside the feverish boy. “Leave Sasha. I'll take care of it.” Sasha nodded his head and left. Vasile placed a hand on the boy’s hot cheek. He wanted the boy but not this way.

Dara arched against the hand resting on his body. His body felt hot all over. The ache between his legs was unbearable. “Please!” he pleaded. “Make it go away.”

Vasile raised the boy up by the hips and placed him carefully on his lap. The boy began to nuzzle his neck. “I want you boy, but not this way,” he whispered. He opened up the boy’s robe and slid his hand inside, finding what he was looking for. “For now, you are going to have to settle for my hand,” he whispered tenderly to the feverish boy.
