A work of pure fiction. All characters are fictional, and any resemblance to real persons, living or non, is pure coincidence.
Now
I finish typing this all out, and realize that I never really learned his name. He never told me, and I don’t remember that much from the marriage document. All this time, I’ve been married, but living with only my name. Well, the rest of the story is pretty simple. I threw myself into school and work. Risca’s band took off, and we got Seiko as our last edition. We took the Japan, and then the world by storm with out different styles. We covered heavy metal, punk rock, and electric pop. With no live concerts, no pictures, and no info other than our albums and the occasional internet interview, we were a giant mystery that entranced the world and held them captive for three years.
I can remember meeting Seiko’s mother for the first time. Blossom was everything I wasn’t. Petite, bubbly, and a total fairy princess. I’d tales and stories of Seiko’s father, and I had no idea how this princess could have lived with that man and still ended up with herself intact and possibly stronger than ever.
We finally had a music video made, and for it I cut, dyed and styled my hair. I also bought contacts, and Tia and I were introduced to the world as twins. With our identical reddish brown curls and brown eyes, our obviously sisters’ attitude and matching smiles, no one questioned us. Few could tell which one of us was supposed to be the older one, and I found that extremely funny.
Every time I was alone, or had free time, I found myself searching faces and crowds for him. So I kept myself too busy to think, much less look for someone who vanished over 3 years ago.
We had a farewell concert for Seiko when he left to move to the US, and then our bands quietly disappeared, much to the dismay and frantic shock of the paparazzi and press. I wasn’t quite sure what to do with Tia for a few months after that. I had graduated two years prior, and she was still in school. Due to a technicality, she had to repeat a grade, even after she has skipped one. So she still needed a year of school, and Risca wanted to relocate us all to the US for a change in life. She got even more fired up when she learned of Seiko’s new band.
I really don’t know how she learned of it. Apparently they had no concerts other that local, and no homepage or albums sold. I can only chalk it up to the mysteries of life.
We arrived in the US with minimal stress and noise. Our arrival into the town Risca had found was another story. We met with Seiko’s new band, and my sister came face to face with the man she lost her heart to.
Really, Tia? The guy who escaped from the Mental Prison? Ah, well. His family speaks nicely of him, and if you really lost your heart that bad, I support it.
Risca found herself a guy who made her cardiac problems disappear, and I think she’s pregnant.
Seyton, our challenging drummer, found himself a challenging girl called Blue, and is trying to sweep her off her firmly planted feet.
Erax, our main drummer, found himself a sweet guy, which should have trashed his manly image, but only made him even sweeter a guy.
Terrance, our guitarist, got himself a guy as well, a spoiled guy who Terrance loves to extract cries from.
Seiko had fallen for a girl as soon as he arrived, and now the two have wedding plans.
Kandy has an unrequited love, and after the scene at the café, it might remain that way, poor girl.
As for me, I am Sera Hinamo, and I am still waiting for my husband to return to my life.
Ps. Kandy, if your reading this, I know who the guy you like is and if you tell anyone not only will you wake up with your pigtails missing, I will set you up with that guy so that you two spend the afternoon and night in a room together.
Remember I love you.
