Starlight
Starlight
Counting the stars in the night sky
I sit here and ask myself why
Why I can’t just tell you what I’m thinking straight out
That’s not what this story is all about
It isn’t about you or me
It’s a far grander picture than either of us can see
Focus inward then take a step back
Hindsight isn’t something that we lack
Can you see it now? The prism of life
It isn’t just full of happiness but also sorrow and strife
But don’t let the bad outweigh the good
It’s the small things in life that are misunderstood
Every sparkle, every ray of light
Gives into colors that dazzles one’s sight
Like the millions of star in the velvety night
Let my words shine to you and make your life a little more bright
