A Touch Dead
Chapter 4
I watch him run away from me and sigh, looking over to the real Morgan. I wonder how much he really knows. He seems adamant on avoiding me right now. I will just have to get him after school this class is over. I saw he has a spare next and that is the last period of the day, lucky for him I have no idea what to really say to him, what to really do but I need to know. He knows that Morgan is dead; he must know where the body is as well to have his ID and be registered under his name at this school.
I shake it off and start into a light jog to catch up with the rest of the class as I was trailing behind. I scan the crowd until I see his familiar form up a head, jogging at the front of the class. I won\'t bother him anymore during class, it\'s too difficult to try and talk about a dead teenager where everyone else is within an ear shot of us. There is something strange about this guy, but I can\'t quite put my finger on it. I\'m sure he has come to the same conclusions about me though. I didn\'t exactly hide the fact I already knew Morgan Steels was dead.
As soon as the teacher tell us to head back inside I rush in, changing my clothes as quickly as I can and waiting outside the bathroom door for Morgan to exit. He had rushed into the single washroom quite quickly, snatching his clothes up the moment he came through the door to the change room. Must have something to hide I thought as I leaned up against the wall. I hear the flick of the light switch and the click of the door and see him exit out it.
“Come with me.” I mummer just loud enough for him to hear. He gives me a look but after a moment sighs and nods. I lead him back out the door and across the field to the trail we were just on, though we take a different path through it. We are silent for the whole walk, he trailed behind me a little bit and the real but dead Morgan walked beside me. I\'m not sure what I\'m going to say to him, I\'m not even sure why I want to know what he knows so badly.
After nearly an hour of walking through the dense woods and I still don\'t know where we are. I\'m getting frustrated since I thought it might be easier to find this spot and I can tell Morgan is too. Fuck, it wasn\'t supposed to actually be this hard. My visions can sometimes be a little hard to follow. A lot of the time I know where it is someone has died because it was in a public place but Morgan died in the middle of a forest. Everywhere around me looks the same that it would be impossible for me to wander off the trail and find the exact clearing his body is in.
“Are we actually going somewhere or are you just wasting my time?” His voice snaps me out of my thoughts but I ignore him and keep walking. I need answers and I know the only way I\'m going to get them from him is if I can find my damn ghosts body.
The temperature had dropped since left the school and rain has started to fall and I know I am no where near Morgan\'s body. Damn it, we can\'t stay out here in the rain because we\'ll get sick and I can\'t afford to be sick. I guess I\'ll have to give this up for now. I lead him back out onto the main road, only a few minutes walk away from my apartment.
“You still won\'t tell me what you know will you?” I question him, watching as he turns and starts to walk the other way. I can hear him chuckle slightly as he goes. Stubborn ass. I look at the Morgan next to me and shake my head. I need to find that body.

When I get back to the apartment my mother is still passed out, though there are some fresh bottles around her so she must have been up at some point. It stinks in the room with her though, she hardly showers, moving off the couch or floor is usually the greatest thing she will do in a day and only if she\'s desperate enough for some more booze. I shake my head and go into the kitchen grabbing a quick drink before I head into my bedroom, closing the door behind me and throwing my bag off to the side. Screw the homework; I\'m not in the mood to do it in the least bit.
I flop down onto my bed, pulling out my mp3 player allowing the music to take over my thoughts. I can\'t think about finding Morgan\'s dead body all the time. Before I even realize it I\'ve started to drift off into sleep, my consciousness falling into that clearing in the woods and the next thing I know is my body is in uncontrollable amounts of pain. I know something is wrong when my sleep, which usually has me submerged in blissful blackness-is disturbed by riveting images of violence. I feel the pain surge through my head, pounding in on me on all sides and from every possible direction, turning my vision white and blotchy until I can’t even see the attacks coming anymore. I cry out, throwing my hands up to shield my face but the attacks keep coming, the assault becoming more dangerous as my breathing is cut short, my lungs collapsing inside me, my throat clenching so painfully tight that I black out.
As my vision slowly clears I know that I\'m becoming conscious, my chest is rapidly rising and falling, my heart pounding against my ribs like a bird trying to escape. I feel my body temperature fall to a chilly state, the built up sweat cooling me to the bones and then I see him; Morgan hovering over me, his sightless eyes boring down into mine and he flickers angrily. He reaches out and I scramble off my bed to the other side, hitting the floor with a loud thud. I don’t even worry about my mother hearing, she’s too out of it in the day that at night she’s so far out-cold that not even the house collapsing would wake her. Morgan shifts through the bed, the object not hindering his translucent form. He stands before me and points past me to the window and I look but see nothing. I stand up and he walks through me and I feel sick. I hold back the bile and step to the window looking out. He continues to point and flickers angrily again and he goes to touch my hand and I jerk back.
He disappears, and I sigh. I have no clue what that was about and I’m beyond irritated and tired. I go to get back into bed and find my lamp flicker on and my head light turns on and my alarm sounds all at once. The room flickers to life and it is so loud and so cold in my room that I find myself shaking. From the cold, from the shock, from the confusion, I cannot tell but I want it to stop. I grab my clothes from the day and get dressed in record time. I race out of my room, tumbling down the stairs and out the front door. I reach the sidewalk before I find myself face to face with Morgan again. He points. And I follow.
He walks forward; leading me back into the woods, down a path I earlier walked by. It seems like longer but within a few minutes we are in the exact same place I saw him die. It flashes in my mind again, the image of his eyes as the life leaves them and the laughter of those responsible echoes in my mind. I snap out of it when he walks forward and then turns to point at a disturbance among the leaves and the dirt beside a tree. And then he steps forward, reaching out to me. I take a step back but before I know it I\'m pinned against a tree, Morgan right before me. He reaches out again; his hand brushing against my check faintly and then a sudden slight flash of images come through my mind.
It was similar to the visions I normally see but still different. The guy who was pretending to be Morgan appears, walking in the forest. Then he trips over Morgan\'s body, finds his ID and leaves but then another flash brings him to me again, He came back and dug a grave for the body and then left. Then the visions end and Morgan steps away from me to point back at that spot. So that\'s where his body is buried? My thoughts are cut short as the sound a snap of twigs behind me echoes throughout the forest.
