Daisuike glared at the nurse but she seemed unfazed. "I told you I feel fine. You don't need to take any blood. I'll sign myself out."
Fine might have been an overstatement. Okay more like an outright lie, but there was no way he was staying in a hospital. He would much rather go home and be sick, than be here and be sick.
"Suke, you need to let the nurse do her job. Let them run the tests." Ruka tried to coax Suke though he knew it wouldn't work. Turning to smile at the nurses, Ruka sighed. "Don't give him the papers, his brother will be here soon and he'll decide what to do."
Looking back at Suke he frowned, "You really need to let them do what they need to do."
Daisuike nodded slowly glancing over at Ruka for a moment. He was still shocked that he was there, but was glad he was. Who knew where he’d been right now if not for him. He kept a tight hold in the collar of the hospital yukata, for the first time in a long time not wanting someone to see his tattoos. "Alright, fine. If you think so."
Sullenly he held out his arm for the nurse to take his blood. He knew it was stupid to argue but he was just so pissed off. He couldn't remember the last time he'd felt so angry and betrayed. Probably the last time he'd seen his mother, Chiyo. He sighed then winced feeling the nurse insert the needle. Why did it seem like every woman in his life was destined to screw him over?
Ruka smiled and moved to sit next to Suke stroking his hair some. Even if he was in the hospital feeling sick he didn't want to stop touching him, even a little. Seeing the nurse finish up and walk out of the room he reached over to Suke's cheek stroking it gently making him look at him.
"I'm sorry. . . I wish I could've stopped her sooner."
Daisuke shook his head trying to ignore the rush of emotions that Ruka's touch elicited. "It was my fault. I left my drink alone. Though I never imagined anyone would try to drug me.”
He leaned forward putting his head in his hands. He felt like he was going to throw up again. "God I'm so stupid."
Ruka frowned, turning Suke's face towards him. "You are not stupid. How could you have known someone was targeting you?" Unconsciously he started to stroke Suke's cheek loving the way his skin felt. It was so smooth and silky.
"I understand why she'd want you all to herself though. . ." Without thinking Ruka leaned forward pressing his lips gently against Suke's enjoying his taste.
Daisuike's eyes closed as a warm sensation seemed to burst through him at the feel of Ruka's lips on his. He made a soft noise not sure what to do his hands grabbing at the sheets. This was so far out of his range of experience yet he was enjoying it, maybe a little too much.
He pulled back after a moment look not able to meet Ruka's eyes. "I . . . thank you for-for helping me. I don't know what . . ." He shook his head not even wanting to think about where he might be now if not for Ruka.
"Don't mention it Ouji-sama." He smiled gently at Suke before kissing his lips, then cheek softly. "Though I hope we can meet again and enjoy our evening together sometime." hearing the door start to open he moved back to sitting next to Suke.
Seeing an older man walk in, he slipped off the bed and bowed. "You must be Jiro, Suke's brother?"
Daisuike looked over his eyes widening seeing Jiro, he was really glad he hadn't come in any sooner. Who knew what Jiro might have done seeing him kissing some guy? "Ano . . . hi Jiro. Sorry about everything."
Jiro moved over to the bed returning Ruka’s bow. He shook his head a soft smile on his lips as he looked at Daisuike, he looked a little flustered and Jiro wasn’t sure if it was the situation or the handsome man standing next to the bed. "I'm very grateful to you for taking care of my brother. If there is anything I can do, you just name it."
Ruka’s playful smile graced his lips again as looked back at Suke, "Nothing you can do for me, but Suke can. He still owes me two dances."
Ruka really hoped Suke didn't think he was doing this because he wanted Suke to pay him back, he really liked the guy and wanted to spend more time with him. He just wanted to get to know him more, deeper than the physical attraction. He had the distinct feeling that there was a lot going on behind those beautiful dark eyes. Just from what little he’d been around him he found himself desperately wanting to know this man better.
Daisuike nodded slowly hoping they didn't notice the blush on his cheeks. He was surprised that Ruka wanted to see him again. It also surprised him how happy that made him. If tonight was anything to go by, he knew he could trust Ruka. Trust was something that he was in very short supply of as it was.
"Ano . . . Jiro, can I go home? I really don't want to stay the night here."
Jiro smiled softly, "As soon as the doctors say it is alright. I probably should call Akira and let him know what is going on. He should be getting home about now. I’ll go sign you out so you can go home. Thank you very much for your help Ruka-san."
“Ano. . .Okay, I guess I'll see you around then O- Suke." Ruka smiled at both of them before bowing and heading out of the room.
Jiro couldn’t help but smile as he noticed the odd look on Daisuike’s face, "He seems nice. I approve of him, but you are free to date whomever you choose.”
Daisuike nearly choked. "Wh-what? D-date him? He's a guy."
Even as he said it he couldn't help but be intrigued by the thought. He'd never dated anyone, boy or girl. It had just seemed such a waste of time to him. He’d never had the urge to tie himself down with any one person. He just didn’t think he was . . . attracted to men. Not that there would be anything wrong with that. Ryuu was bi and it had never bothered him in the least. He'd have to see if Ruka was even that interested in him for starters. He'd just always assumed that he would find a girl and get married. He hadn't ever thought he might find a man attractive. Ruka was definitely that, Daisuike shivered just thinking about him, that beautiful bright smile and fascinating eyes.
"Well . . . I do owe him two dances."

Daisuike was trying not to fidget. It wasn't like him to be so impatient. He walked back over to the mirror again adjusting his shirt for probably the fifth time. He could see Akira out of the corner of his eye as he sat on the bed, laughing at him. He turned glaring.
"What?"
"It's just cute to see you so worried about getting dressed up."
Daisuike threw one of the discarded shirts at him. "Shut up!"
Akira ducked still laughing at him. "You want to borrow some of my eyeliner?"
"No! Shut up and do your homework!"
"Hey!" They both looked over to see Reiko in the doorway smiling at them. She raised an eyebrow at them.
“Suke’s got a date tonight.” Akira explained for him.
“It’s not a date! We are just going out for drinks.”
Reiko sat on the bed next to Akira watching Daisuike. She looked over at Akira and he nodded grinning at her. Her smile was a bit mischievous as she got an idea.
"You know. . . You'd look good in a bit of eyeliner Suke. Not as much as Akira wears but just a tad bit. Bring out your eyes a lot." She smiled wondering if Suke even knew how to put eyeliner on.
Daisuike narrowed his eyes glancing over at Akira who was snickering. He looked back over at Reiko.
"I'm not sure I want to put any eye liner on. It's fine for Akira, but I'd probably look weird."
Reiko rolled her eyes getting up. Walking passed Suke she picked up Akira's eyeliner off the desk. She swore he had more make-up than her, but then again he was in a visual kei band.
"It washes off so if we don't think it looks good we can take it off." She smirked pushing Suke to the bed and sat next to him brushing his hair out of his face. It was soft like Akira’s but not near as long or purple. "Just don't flinch."
She smiled as she carefully applied the liner. She knew he’d look good. He was pretty like Akira just taller and a bit more muscular.
“Just hold still Suke, she'll be done in just a sec." Akira was tempted to go get his shadow but he really didn't want to get hit.
"It feels weird." Daisuike couldn't stop blinking. "Are you sure about this?"
"Yes, quit whining. I can already tell it looks really good."
Reiko blinked staring at Suke once she got done.
"Holy shit." She stared in shock at him then looked at Akira, "Did you know your brother could look hot?"
She stopped herself glancing away, a little surprised she suddenly found her best friend’s brother good looking, setting the eyeliner aside. Looking at Akira she then got up grabbing the shadow moving back to Suke ready to straddle him if he tried to dodge away.
"Okay next step. Then we'll fix your clothes." She looked him over a bit shaking her head. "You got good taste but not for a date."
"There is nothing wrong with what I am wearing and it’s not a date. . . what the hell is that! Absolutely not. You said just eyeliner."
"Oh come on Suke! Reiko's right. If you really like this guy you should at least try to look good for him."
"I wasn't wearing any of that stuff the other day and he didn't seem to care." Daisuike was pouting as Reiko applied the eye shadow.
Akira laughed at Daisuike glad that he'd finally admitted to wanting to look good for this guy. He was anxious to meet the person who could make Daisuike act like this. It was a totally different side of him to see. Normally Daisuike was quiet and serious, to see him excited was a big change. One that Akira was happy to see. He wanted his older brother to be happy, something none of them had really even been.
Reiko bounced a bit happy as she finished the shadow. "Looks good! Damn, I'm almost jealous. Almost but you're too much like family." She shuddered as she stood pulling Suke to his feet looking him over.
"Hmm, needs more and that shirt really has to go. Akira, borrowing some of your accessories." Reiko smirked as she moved to their shared closet looking through the things. Tilting her head to the side she debated with herself then pulled out a shirt and a jacket tossing them to Suke.
"Put those on." Heading to the box where Akira kept his accessories she went through them carefully smiling. It was like playing with a giant dress up doll. A very hot dress up doll.
Grumbling Daisuike changed his shirt not sure when he'd started letting Reiko dress him. He'd thought his outfit before had looked nice. He glanced over at the mirror and stopped, shocked. He barely recognized himself. His outfit had definitely been more on the conservative side. He wasn't so sure about the outfit Reiko had picked out. His dragon tattoo was clearly visible on his chest where the shirt dipped in a deep v-neck. He knew that most places wouldn’t even let him in if they saw it. Maybe that was what the jacket was for.
"Perfect!" Reiko smiled looking him over then started putting the necklaces on him handing him the rings.
"There. Except-" Grabbing a brush and some product she sat him down on the bed again moving and fixed his hair. Once down she stepped back nodding her head.
"Your date is going to be very happy."
Daisuike shook his head looking at himself in the mirror. He wasn't sure about this in the least.
"Ano . . . are you sure it's not too much . . . I mean I'd never dress like this normally."
"You look really good Suke." Akira was sitting on the bed watching him. "You look like a fashion model or something. I'm sure Ruka will love it."
Daisuike felt a smile tugging at his lips and ducked his head. The thought of making Ruka happy sent a little thrill through him. For some reason he really wanted to see him smile again and to know he was the one to put it there.
"Well, if you are done now, I need to get going or I'm going to be late."
"Don't make him wait too long!" Reiko laughed as she flopped back on the bed dragging Akira with her.
"Aww! Our baby is all grown up and dating all on his own! Though he still can't dress himself." She continued to giggle even as she saw Daisuike give her a dirty look. Waving at him she couldn't help but laugh. It was good to see Suke enjoying himself. He wasn't that much older than them and it made her happy to see him actually doing something besides being Yakuza.
Ruka smiled as he leaned against the bar anxious to see Suke. Hell, he hadn't even hit on anyone since he had met that beautiful man and that surprised him. Never had he felt this way about someone and he just hoped Suke liked him back just as much as he liked him. Having to wait a whole entire week had been sheer agony, but he knew it was going to be worth it.
There had just been something about the soft spoken man that had drawn him. Maybe it had been those dark eyes that held so much in their depths or it could have been the way he’d been so hesitant and shy. It still surprised him that he’d even answered the phone when he’d called the next day to invite him out tonight. It had taken a bit of coaxing but Ruka had been thrilled when he’d finally agreed. He just hoped he showed up.
