It's Destiny
Davis woke early the next morning, he didn’t get much sleep last night and he woke with a terrible headache. He had forgotten about what happen last night, but once he woke up a little bit more, it all started to come back. He felt stupid about last night, but he was really happy that he didn’t have any wet dreams about the wolf last night. Yawning, he stretched out as he stood up, and shook the wet leaves off his cape. Once all the leaves were off, he folded it up and placed in in his bag that hung of the horse saddle. He looked over at the entrance to the court a few times, building up his strength to go in, but he chicken out every time. He thought a good bath would do him some good, and went down to the near-by stream to wash off. He spent an hour under the small waterfall there, trying to find the nerve to walk back in and apologized to the furry. His heart race every time that he thought about the wolf and going back in. But after his bath, he got dressed and once again confronted the big willow tree and the fear of the Furry King.
He was surprise that no one was in the cave, but Davis knew in the back of his mind that everyone was sleeping in and getting rid of their hangovers. With a large gulp, Davis walked in and stared around the cave, it was much bigger then he thought and wondered where Andrin was. There were three other ways in and out of the chamber, but he didn’t know which one to choose. He thought about taking the hallway that lay behind the king’s throne, but he decided to take a different way and turned into on of the tunnels on left.
“You’re going the wrong way!” Davis heard a voice boom throughout the cave. Davis jumped at the voice and turned around. He didn’t see any one in the room, so he turned back and continued walking again. “You’re going the wrong way!” the voice boomed again, this time there was a laugh mixed in and Davis turned around for a second time.
“Who’s there?” Davis yelled, looking around.
Davis held his breath as a full grown male lion came strolling into the room. His heart was beating a mile a minute; he was scared out of his mind, and more scared then facing Andrin. He wanted to turn and run, but the lion was blocking the exit to the outside and his feet didn’t listen to his brain. ‘Run god damn it!’ his mind yelled, but he didn’t move an inch.
As Davis stood frozen on the spot, the lion slowly made his way over towards him. As the lion got closer, Davis’s body slowly started to listen. He waited for the right moment to move, his eye on the lion as it moved closer. The lion was about five feet from him now, and Davis got nervous as he saw the lion stop and slowly lower its head. He could tell that the beast in front of him knew that he wanted to run. Davis’s hair stood on end as he heard the lion growl low in his throat, and that was the sign to run. Davis made a brake for the exit, but he didn’t even make it half way there. With one leap, the lion blocked Davis’s path again and stopped him from leaving.
“Crap.” Davis said under his breath, and tried to think of another way out of the cave.
“Kadin.” another voice boomed.
Davis recognized that voice, and he was both happy and scared when he heard it. Both he and the lion turned and saw King Andrin standing beside his throne, his arm resting on the top of the chair. Davis gave off a nervous smile once he saw him and even though he was scared, he knew he was now safe from danger---for now. The lion saw his ruler and gave Davis one more look before he wondered over towards the wolf. Davis stood still as he looked from Andrin to the lion, then back towards Andrin again, and took in all of Andrin’s features. His fur was a mess from heard to foot, and he had a sleepy look in his eye. Davis noticed that he wasn’t wearing any shirt and his mouth watered as he stared at his rock hard, six pack chest. He then gazed down towards the lower part, and saw that he was wearing tattered gray pants that cut off just above the ankle. Davis had looked Andrin over so much that his mouth was flooded with saliva he had to swallow twice.
“What do you think you’re doing?” Davis heard Andrin say to the lion. “I told you to bring him to me when he comes, not scare him to death.”
Davis’s eyes went wide as he saw the lion transformed in front of him into a human being and naked as a blue jay. He quickly turned his head and just listened to what the two had to say. “Sorry,” he heard the skinwalker said, bowing to his king. “But he was going the wrong way, and I didn’t want him to go astray.”
“Thank you Kadin. But I can handle things from here.” Andrin replied. “Please tell Canon, Jaxon, and Sinan that I won’t be able to join them in today’s meeting. And that I will meet with them the day after tomorrow.”
“Yes, Sir.” Kadin bowed and turned to deliver his message to the inner court members.
Davis watched as the skinwalker disappeared into the tunnel that he was going to go into. “You there, mortal!” he heard Andrin call to him once Kadin left. Davis quickly turned back around and stood at attention. “Come with me.” Andrin then said, motioning for Davis to follow him. Andrin then turned away and walked off back into the tunnel. “Come on!” he yelled once he notice Davis wasn’t fallowing him, and he soon joined the wolf by his side.
Davis heart beat faster with each step he took. He didn’t walk beside the furry; he was too uncomfortable with being with him, so he walked just behind him. He stayed silent the whole time, not saying anything to Andrin. But he really wanted to tell him he was sorry for last night, and to ask where they were going. One of Davis’s questions was answered moments later when Andrin stopped in front two large doors. Davis stared at the double doors, wondering what laid behind them. After a short pause, Andrin stepped forward and pushed the doors open. He motion again to Davis to follow him and Davis slipped through the crack the wolf made between the doors. Davis didn’t know how to respond as he stepped into the room and seeing that it was the Furry King’s bedchambers. He looked around and saw that the king size bed laid on the left hand side of the stone walls, a fireplace just next to it with a fire already burning. In front of the fireplace were two large wingback arm chairs, both tangled so they slightly face each other. And to the far right was a medium size table, where three of Andrin’s servants were placing plates and silverware on both sides of the table. Davis then looked over towards the king and watched as he walked over to the table. The three servants stopped and bowed slightly to him.
“Your majesty.” all three said at once with a smile.
Andrin didn’t say anything; he just waved his hand to dismiss the three and turned back towards Davis. “You must be hungry.” Andrin said. “Please sit, and join me for breakfast.” he sat down at the far side of the table. Davis didn’t want to get yelled at again, so he quickly sat down at the empty seat and folded his hands together. “You’re not hungry?” he then asked a few minutes into the meal.
“Oh, no I am…”
“Then eat.” Andrin told him.
Davis stared at the food on his plate, it was filled with two pieces of sourdough toast, assorted cut fruit, scrambled eggs, and a good size stake cooked to perfection. He licked his lips and stared at the food, his stomach was just rumbling at the smell of it. Taking numerous looks from the wolf back to his food, Davis took a deep breath and dug in. as he ate he didn’t even notice how bad his table manners were, and to Andrin’s view, it was like Davis was the animal.
“Sorry.” Davis slowly said, realizing what he was doing and wiped off the food on his face.
“It’s okay.” Andrin replied grabbing his knife and fork, and cutting into his own raw stake. “I knew your table manners wouldn’t be that good, seeing you are from the village near-by.”
Davis gave him a nervous smile and stared down into his plate. He said nothing else for the remainder of breakfast. Davis didn’t lift his head up as he ate, but Andrin had his eyes on the boy. He was so fascinated with him, just like Davis was so fascinated with him. Five minutes later, Andrin couldn’t bare the silence anymore, and decided to get some words out of the young mortal across from him. “You know, I’ve seen you around here so many times, but this is the first time we ever talked face to face.” Andrin said, glancing up at Davis.
“So you saw me all those times before?” Davis asked, putting down his glass of orange juice.
Andrin gave Davis a small smile and nodded slightly. “Oh yes.” his smile got bigger. “And I bet you thought nobody could see you.”
“Well you didn’t look at me.”
“I have a strong sense of smell.” Andrin told him. “I memorized your scent, and every time you came around I picked it right up.”
Davis lowered his head and Andrin let out a quiet laugh. He didn’t mean to embarrass the boy, but it couldn’t be help. “I should be getting going.” Davis quickly said and stood up just as fast.
“Don’t go.” the wolf behind him said, “And that’s an order.”
Davis stopped and turned back around, sighing in frustration as he stared at the wolf. “I don’t have to listen to you.” Davis spat.
The furry chuckled lightly and stood up. He then walked around the table and stood nice and tall, so that he was towering over the boy. “If you don’t have to listen to me?” Andrin asked. “Then why haven’t you left?” Davis stood still, quiet as he puzzled the king’s question. After a few moments thinking about the question, he couldn’t answer and lowered his head. “You see,” Andrin said, lifting Davis’s head back up. “You can not answer that because you’re heart is telling you to stay.”
“No it’s not!” Davis yelled, pushing the furry’s hand like paw away. “You don’t know what my heart is telling me.”
“Oh? But I do.” Andrin smirked evilly and folded his hands behind him. He lowered himself down, bowing at the waist so that he was at level with Davis’s ear. “I know you want to stay here with me. And that you think of me every time you release yourself.” Davis’s heart started skipping beats as the king told him what he thought he know what was in his heart. “I also know you worship me.”
“No I don’t.” Davis protest.
“I bet you do.” Andrin’s smirk got wider and Davis brush as his lie was seen and he stayed quiet for the rest of the time. “I also know that the feelings you feel for me is just puppy love, and-”
“Puppy love?” Davis interrupted again, he was able to hold his tongue and decided to argue with the king. “That is not what I am feeling.”
Andrin laughed lightly, picking himself back up so he stood up right again. “You so too are showing emotions of such love. You are even acting like a stubborn pup.”
“I am not!”
“Yes you are. And I must say…” Andrin lowered himself down so his cheek was now pressed against Davis’s and smiled. “I like that in an adolescence boy.” he growled, taking a lick out of his face.
Davis’s heart stopped and pulled away. Andrin smiled and stood up once more, staying up for good this time. He could tell that Davis wanted to hit him and then flee, but he could also see that his brain was not in contact with his feet again. He then decided to change directions in the subject, and grabbed a hold of Davis’s chin. He was surprise that he allowed him to grab his face, and turn it in all directions. But he guessed that his brain was still not working. He smiled, but it soon faded from his face and frowned as he saw dark rings under his eyes. He sighed and let go of the boy and walked back over to his plate for one more bite to eat.
“I want you to spend the night.” he told Davis, his mouth full of grapes.
“What?” Davis asked, wondering what the furry king said was true.
“I want you to spend the night. I can see from your eyes both your body and soul are weak and tired.”
“That is very kind of you majesty, but I have a bed waiting for me at my home.”
“But your bed must be hard as a rock.” Andrin proclaimed. “Use my chambers to rest in. The mattress is nice and soft, you will sleep like the dead.” he smiled and waited to hear the boy’s reply.
“I can not take your bed.” Davis said.
“Why not?” Andrin was getting frustrated with the boy, and his voice started to rise little by little. “It’s fit for a king. And I will promise you, you won’t have any wet dreams of me while you sleep.”
“Did you read see that in my heart too?” Davis spat. He too was getting frustrated with the king, arguing with him about having him stay the night and all.
“Listen, it’s not healthy for a boy your age to not sleep. So sleep and you will be well rested.” Andrin had an idea and started to walk towards the chamber doors, just hoping that Davis wouldn’t know what he was doing. Once he was at the doors, he slowly pushed the door back and opened it a bit, and slowly started to slide out the door. “So with that, I bid you goodnight, and I wish you have a good slumber.” he then quickly slipped out of the crack in the doors and locked them behind him.
He didn’t want to do such a cruel thing to the lad, but he had no choice. He closed his eyes and drown out the noises Davis was making, as he banged and yelled to get out. He listened to the bangs a few minutes more before he turned and left for the watering hole. He knew that in a few hours the mortal would tire himself out, and he would come back to check on him.
Davis hated Andrin what he done to him, locking him in his chambers. When he realized what he did, he started banging on the door and tried to open it. But it was no use, the furry had locked him in and there was no other way out of the room. He tried yelling for help, but he the doors and cave walls were so thick no one could hear him. Three hours had passed since Andrin had locked him in, and he started to get tired. He looked over to the bed and knew that if he slept in it Andrin would win, so he decided to curl up in a corner and fell asleep there. When he woke a few hours later, he found himself in Andrin’s bed. He wondered how he gotten into the soft bed. Looking around to see if anyone might have moved him, he frowned as he saw the person who placed him in the bed. He sat up and glared at him. They both sat in silence for a while, just looking at each other. When Davis knew that Andrin wasn’t going to say anything, he sighed and lowered his head.
“Why are you being so nice to me?” he asked, staring back up at him.
“Because,” Andrin replied as he got up off the chair he was sitting on. “That’s the way I am.” he smiled as he sat back down next to Davis, but he could see right through that false smile.
“Liar.” Davis called him out.
“Fine.” Andrin sighed. “You really want to know why I am being so nice to you?” Davis nodded and Andrin gave him a real smile this time. “It’s because I too have a crush on you.”
Davis was shocked, he didn’t know what to say and he spent the next several minutes thinking over what Andrin said. It was only when the king next to him took a long lick out of his face. Davis stared blankly at the wolf, who smiled and caressed his cheek “Do you really love me?” Davis asked, kind of hoping that it was true.
“Yes I do. When I first saw you with your pants down, I thought I was going to have to call the guards. But then I saw that scared look on your face, and I thought you were so cute.” Davis gave the king a small smile and Andrin gave him another lick on the nose this time. “But there is a difference between our loves.”
“What’s that?” Davis asked, staring up at the furry, who was now standing in front of him.
“Mine love is real, your’s isn’t.”
“Yes it is.” Davis cried, “I do love you.”
“How do you know that?” Andrin asked. “How do you know that what you’re feeling is just an illusion?”
“An illusion?”
“Yes, an illusion. You know that we furries are lustful creatures right?”
“Yeah, I know all about your kind.”
“Did you know that we can also manipulate people’s emotions too?”
Davis shook his head, and put two and two together with his random thoughts of love and passion for the creature. He couldn’t believe that what he might be thinking wasn’t true, and that he had convince himself that it was. He sank back down into the bed again and fell into a kind of depression. Andrin joined him, propping himself up on an elbow and staring down at him. He smiled weakly and nudged his head against Davis’s to cheer him up.
“I’m sorry.” he told him. “I didn’t mean to hurt your feelings. It’s just… most people who we fool can tell when the love is fake. I guess you can’t.”
“Or…” Davis said propping himself up on both his elbows. “Maybe these feelings I have are real.” Andrin’s eyes widen a bit and gave him a nice smile.
“Do you think the feelings are real?” Davis nodded slightly and the wolf’s smile got wider. “What happens when you start feeling these emotions?”
“I can’t sleep,” Davis started and looked down at his feet. “I contently think about you-night and day. And every night I would have the same wet dream. And that dream was about last night, the masquerade.”
Andrin grinned and laughed lightly, from what the boy was telling him. He knew a little about dreams, and would dream often and would have his dreams annualized by Kadin’s wife. “You know what,” Andrin told him once he was finished talking. “I had the same dream.”
“Really?”
Andrin nodded, getting up and straddling Davis’s hips. “That’s why I held the party last night. I dreamt that, and I knew we would come and meet face to face.”
“Guess it is destiny,” Davis laughed lightly to himself.
“What’s your name?” Andrin asked, realizing that he didn’t even know the mortal’s name. He sat back on his hind legs to he could look over the boy beneath him.
“Davis Edwards.” Davis replied, cocking his head towards the side.
Andrin smiled and leaned down, licking the boy’s face like an excited puppy. Davis laughed with every lick, loving the dog-like kisses that the furry was giving him. The laughs soon turned into moans as Andrin started to move his kisses up over his ear, licking out the shell of his ear. Andrin smiled, growling low in his throat as he began to move his paws over Davis’s body. And just by the animal’s touch made both of them moan out, and giving them both erections.
He was surprise that no one was in the cave, but Davis knew in the back of his mind that everyone was sleeping in and getting rid of their hangovers. With a large gulp, Davis walked in and stared around the cave, it was much bigger then he thought and wondered where Andrin was.
