Sun, Sash, SOULMATES!
“Father! Welcome home!”
“Ah, Ilanga, how are you my daughter?” asked a tall yellow blonde haired man. His daughter, who didn’t have anything resembling him but the oval shape of her face, had reddish-orange hair and golden eyes lit with happiness at her father’s arrival.
Ilanga responded, “Very well father. How was your visit with the northern King of Saturn?”
King Taiyou smiled at his only child. “Everything went perfectly fine. He’s agreed to help us fight against those tiny plutonian beings. Small but powerful they are. They’ve slaughtered half of our armed men!” he said heatedly. The inhabitants of Pluto, though tiny, were strong, organized, and well armed. Their light blue skin color helped them blend in with the surface of their planet better, also. Another advantage was their speed and because they had four eyes, they never left their opponent.
“Oh, I didn’t know.” She said, sounding sincere but she really didn’t care about political things. “Hey father? Did you bring anything back from Saturn?”
“I almost forgot my dear. Hmm, oh, here we go. It’s a necklace the king had made for you. The stone is made from a beautiful pale yellow mineral that can record your memories and thoughts,” said the king as he gave the necklace to his child.
“Thank you father. Who do you have to meet with next?” She asked looking at the necklace so he wouldn’t see her look of disgust. It was a ridiculous tear shaped, translucent stone on a simple thin silvery strand. It wasn’t at all as elegant as she would like. Probably would be as expensive as she would have liked either.

“Thank you ma’am, for letting us stay four more days.”
“Oh Jordan, you’re so sweet. I hope you spend the money you earned too fast. You still need to take care of your adorable friend, Malen, over here.” The older woman gave Jordan a stern but playful look, letting him know she was joking.
“Haha, I won’t let him Ms. Coldwell,” laughed Malen.
“Good. Ah you boys, I’ll miss you both very much. Thank you for all your hard work.” Ms. Coldwell was starting to tear up. “Oh goodness, I must be getting old for me to cry so easily. Anyway, have a safe trip to where ever you’re going.”
“We will. Goodbye Ms. Coldwell.” Jordan said as Malen and he waved to the older woman.
“Uh, Jordan, where exactly are we going?” Malen asked after a few minutes of walking next to Jordan in silence.
“I’m not exactly sure. I feel compelled to go this way so I’m walking in this direction. No clue where we’ll stop though.” Silence followed as Malen had his answer.
A few minutes later, “Jordan, do you mind if I ask some questions? You can ask some too if you want, but I’m not too fond of silence, well unless I want to be alone. Is it okay though?” Malen was nervous.
“Sure, go ahead,” responded Jordan with a smile.
“Okay, first,” started Malen as he put his index finger against his bottom lip, in thought, then finished, “what is your favorite type of earth animal?”
Jordan raised an eyebrow. “My favorite animal is a platypus.”
“What is a platypus?”
“You don’t know what a platypus is?” Jordan gave Malen a surprised look. “It’s an egg-laying mammal with a duck bill and webbed feet. Platypuses are also poisonous and rare.” Jordan tried his best to explain and hoped it was good enough.
Malen had shaken his head at Jordan’s surprised question, and then listened intently as Jordan explained what a platypus was. Malen nodded, “Oh, okay. Next question then? Where is your family?”
“Oh, uhmm. I’m an orphan. Both my parents died when I was a baby, in some war or something. I don’t know much about them except that my dad was well respected and my mom was a very kind woman. The orphanage’s owner found me in a hollowed out hole of a tree, crying. There was a dying woman laying in front of the tree who told the owner to take care of me. She also told him a little about my parents and urged that I was to be kept safe and unharmed.” Jordan had a far off look in his eyes. When he finished, he snapped out of his trance-like state and said, “Oh! I’m sorry I hadn’t meant to tell you so much.”
“It’s okay. I’m glad you felt comfortable enough speak so freely with me.” A few hours had gone by as they spoke and laughed freely with the other. They passed through forests and cities and didn’t pay much attention to their surroundings.
Jordan took his pack off of his shoulder and kneeled down as he put it on the ground and opened it. He pulled out a sash with a large gem attached to the knot at the end of it. It had belonged to his father and he wanted to make sure it was still with him. Suddenly, as he was holding it, the gem went from half dark brown, half pearly white, to a pearly tan. Gasping, he touched it lightly as if it would break. Jordan almost screamed when out of the stone came a sort of picture thing that stood in mid air right above the stone. It had the upper half of a man. Hazel stared at forest green. Light brown was tied into a tight ponytail at the back of the man’s head. He was broad shouldered and gave off an aura of kindness and at the same time demanded respect.
“King Tellus of Earth!” Jordan raised another eyebrow at Malen. He looked back though as the man started to speak.
“My son, I hope you receive this message. If I’m not with you I have been defeated in a war against the Mercurons. Your mother and I have entrusted your care to Densha, my cousin. I pray you are well and I also wish to congratulate you. You have found your soul mate.” A dirty blonde popped out from behind the man.
“Congratulations and hurry up in the baby making process. I want some grandchildren!” Tellus laughed at his wife’s antics.
“Oh jeez, dear do we really need to go over this again? When we took him to Queen Mahina so she could show him to all of her children and her youngest connected to ours what did you do?” Jordan looked confused.
“Got all excited and told him to grow up fast cause I want to have grandbabies, and then ran around the castle screaming in happiness.”
“Yes, now what did I tell you because of it?” He asked smiling.
“You said, ‘We live long enough to have great-great-grandchildren or even more so stop trying to push the boy and get off the lighting before it breaks.’” The woman pouted but stayed in the frame. “Fine, now go one with this magical thing so we can head over to that lovely Moon Queen again. She is so delightful!”
“Well then be quiet love so I can do so. Now Jordan, in the small case that my cousin isn’t even with you I would like to inform you that your mother,” he pointed at the doe eyed woman, “Lumana and I are the King and queen of Earth. We possess the magical abilities to take care of this planet and all of its life forms. Our powers surpass all those under us and it has been this way, on my branch of the family, since it was decided that every planet needed someone to command, protect, and represent its people from the other planets. Also, every moon and the sun have the same system. We all come together and discuss any and every issue. Recently, though, greed has ruled over some and planets have raged wars against each other. Right now the Mercurons want our land and to take our people as slaves. We shall be victorious whether I fall or not. And don’t worry my son, we love you very much and wouldn’t have given you up unless it was dire. Until we meet again.” The man reached for something but was stopped by Lumana.
“Jordan, just to let you know, this hunk of rock we’re showing out of will turn white when your mate is less than two feet from you. I love you soo much my baby boy. Goodbye.” The picture went away.
“Jordan? Are you alright?” asked Malen, very concerned about his soul mate.
“I don’t know. I’m very confused and don’t know what to make of what my father said. Do you know anything about it?” Malen walked closer to the sitting youth who was still eyeing the light tan gem. Once he actually reached the boy, Jordan gasped. “It changed to white!” Jordan looked up wide-eyed. “You’re my soul mate?”

Soooooooo…. It is finished! For now…. I think I might sleep for a very long time!
Review please. I accept ideas, light criticism (no flames), and anyone just wanting someone to talk to.
Night everyone.
Curiosity – I promise not to kill the cat. I’ll give him to you instead.
