Three

No one could find Vince today. He was just gone. Missing.

This was worrisome.

The man who had killed Dana had escaped from prison today.

Where had Vince gone? Had he gone to try and find him? If he had, we all knew what would happen. Vince would tie him up and do everything that the man had done to Dana back to him, and then he would do more, just because of how sick and disturbing the guy really was; of how disturbed Vince now had been.

As disgustingly wonderful of a thought that was, finally getting the revenge he deserved, it would almost guarantee that we would never see him outside of a prison\'s bars again. I don\'t think any of us could deal with that so soon after Dana.

We all went in different directions to look for him; calling in at work if we had to. We scoured Central Ave and Wolf Road, even Cook Park. Everywhere that he had ever been in the area. Nothing.

Hours went by.

"Have you seen him?" "Have you heard anything?" "Any other ideas where we could look?"

We always had the same answer to all the questions.

No.

Eventually we branched out from Colonie into Albany, then Troy and Cohoes. Even the restaurants, pubs and diners he usually visited. No one had seen him.

We were all at a loss. What could we do?

Mike came back to our house, to visit with Caleb and I. We pooled what little information we had heard over the day and found that his car had been spotted at a Mobil, getting gas around 10 AM, then again part way down Central at about 10:30, and then going past the airport a half hour later. We got into my Jeep (since it was the car with the most space) and headed back out to Central Ave, then scoured every inch of it, trying to figure out what he could have been doing.

It was Samuel, who finally figured it out. Without even knowing where Vince had been that morning.

We found them sitting together, not saying a word, in front of Dana\'s grave.

He wanted to give her flowers for their anniversary.
