Chapter four: Not all ravens can fly.
It never felt good when normal eyes were staring directly into your back, trying to pierced into your soul to see what was truly there. It was downright unnerving when it was a pair of colorless blue eyes with a white line down with the pupil used to be. Darrel chewed on his lower lip, a finger pointed at a line in the book he was currently using as a reference for his newest experiment. He was pointing at that certain line for the past five minutes.
‘Thank God, Ravy didn’t see this or he’ll knew for sure that he was making me nervous’
“Darrel.”
Shit that was his ‘We’re talking and you can’t get out of it’ voice. He sighed and closed the book and turned around to lean against his worktable. Hands laying on it on either side of his hips.
Rave was laying on his back on the dark brown couch, arms curled over his waist, his head turned toward the alchemist. His glossy black hair was pulled up into high messy tail. Darrel’s own blond hair was just to his neck and look like hay instead of hair. He was envious of his friends and the King’s hair. Even Bowen’s short to the scalp black hair looked way better then his.
He groaned as he brushed his hair back, and anyone else but Rave was in the same room as he was would have seen the ugly bruise on his wrist as the sleeve was pushed up as his hand lifted up. There was more on his back and hips and chest but it was all hidden.
“Why are you with what his face?” The older man tilted his head a bit to the left.
Darrel sighed, not really up for any talk about his relationship with Corry. He rubbed his forehead and shrugged then corrected himself and said “Don’t know. But he was better then being alone.”
“Bull fucking shit.” Rave swing his legs over the edge of the couch and pushed himself up off of it.
“Ravy…don’t. I’m happy to have someone on more of a permanent basis.” He already started to move to the other side of the table. Making sure to keep a distance between himself and the other man. He suspected that Rave knew something and a man like him will do what it takes to be sure of what he knew.
“I heard him and you the other day.” The older man bumped into the table, surprised to feel solid wood instead of a solid body but quickly got over it as he gripped the edge.
“Oh?” The shorter man blinked and then cursed at the powers to be. Now a bunch of shit was going to be dragged out and frankly he didn’t want to talk about any of it.
“Don’t try to fuck with me, little man.” Rave growled in warning. “That dickhead is doing shit to you and you’re lucky that Ryoma and Bowen didn’t see it, well more like that shithead‘s lucky.” He leaned in and nearly bumped his nose against the fragile equipment that sat there.
Bowen and Ryoma, while being good nature and easy going most of the time (except when Bowen’s trading insults with a certain bird-bastard.), they believed greatly in preaching the idea that unless in battle and it was matter of life and death, a true warrior just don’t use his strength against someone smaller then you. When words fail to reach people, their fists and claws in the hybrid’s case will do just fine.
Alexander don’t need fists or strength to get anything across. Just flash that infamous Devil Stare on the poor fool and watch him shrink down a few sizes. It was how he got Ravy to stop playing pranks on him. Darrel never had the courage to do any on the chestnut haired man and never will.
Titus, well it was best not think about that man. Or he was going to start crying again.
“Please, it is my shit and just butt of it.” He felt tears coming to his eyes and tried to rub them away with his sleeve. He couldn’t hide them in his voice, not to someone that relied heavy on his hearing.
“You got one day to end it” The knight held up his index finger before lowing his hand and backing away from the table. “ Or I’m ending it for you.” The man spoke in his serious and ‘it will be done’ voice.
Rave had his own way of dealing things. Where big muscles and deadly stares were lacking, he made up for it stealth and speed. It was no telling if the man would go as far as to silently creep up behind the man and stick a well place needle where it would cause the great damage. Or taking the man out of his bed as he slept during the night and chained him up somewhere till Alexander ordered him to let the man go.
“Okay, I’ll talk with Corry.” Darrel lowered his head in defeat. The empty eyes starred at him for a few minutes before a soft ‘I got something to do. See yall later’ reached the Alchemist’s ears and heard the door slammed closed a few minutes later.
He fell to his knees and wondered how things got so hard so suddenly.

The servants were under orders to leave everything in Gemme de Scintillement in place. Never move it, even not a smidgen. Mainly because Rave thrived on stability and can move around the castle easily. So he was very surprised when he bumped hard into a thick wall, just hard enough to fall back on his romp.
“Motherfucker…” He muttered and rubbed at his now sore rear through the green leather pants and stared darkly at the wall in front of him. How the fuck he ran into a wall anyway? It was a clean shot once he stepped off from the last step on the spiral staircase that led down from the Alchemist’s tower.
“Rave…” A low growl coming from the ‘wall’ in front of cause the man to quickly changed from angry to surprise then to indifference. Well as best as he could with emotionless eyes.
“Get out of my way, tree-trunk.” He muttered as he stood up and dusted off the dirt from his seat then pushed against the solid mass of body to continue on his way.
“No. We’re going to talk.” A large arm wrapped around the lean waist and another one wrapped around his arms and chest then moved up to cover his mouth as he let out a yell when he was suddenly up in the air.
Rave squirmed, yelled out obstinacies that would make a dirty old man blush, and kicked around his legs as his kidnapper walked fast down the halls, Maids going ‘Awww’ and blushing, thinking that the hybrid was finally going to take his little raven, the image was quickly stored away for later on tonight when they had time to write about it.
He finally was put down again when Bowen found an empty hallway and was smart enough to grip around the sinewy biceps to keep the man from leaving.
“What the fuck?!” He screamed as soon as he knew it can be heard clearly. He smacked and hit at the broad strong chest. “You do not, I fucking repeat, do not fucking do that!”
“We need to talk, Rave.” The dark man stated calmly again before shoving the smaller man against the wall and gripped a chin to keep the face looking at him.
“FINE, fucking talk but let me go.” Rave hissed out the words, squirming to get free again.
“No, I don’t want to let you go, You stupid blind bastard! Did you really fuck that kid? The princess’s little brother.” He already knew the truth but needed to hear the words from those soft pink lips.
“Not any business of yours!” The dark haired man hissed lowly, for once going still in pure anger. “But yes, I fuck him soft at first then hard not five minutes after I filled his little ass with my cum.” He gave a sneering smile as he chuckled darkly. “Not at all sorry if you had your eyes on that sweet tight ass first. Clearly he didn’t do bestiality.”
Bowen had the look of hurt in his eyes, mixed in with a flash of anger but it all went unnoticed by the other man who just guessed that man was just pissed off. He breathed in with shaken breath before just smacking hard at the other’s jaw. The smack of hand hitting jaw rang out echoing throughout the empty hallway.
Both men just kept quiet for what seem like hours. Rave still had his head turned to the left, his jaw already getting redder and then darker while Bowen just stared at it in pure shock. The pale face slowly turned back to face the other man. Hands moving to gripped at the deer-leather dyed blue tunic hard as empty eyes stared into dark eyes.
The meeting of the mouths were hard, fast and sloppy as both men tried to devoured each other. It was like they were starving for days and now they were allowed to eat.. Teeth clinked and scarped against others, tongues twirling and fought each other. Hands gripping at hair and shirts before one meaty hand reached to push up the cotton white shirt, laying flat against the scarred skin that was hidden under it.
“You belonged to me.” The words came out in hungry pants as both men pulled back for air. “No one else will have you but me.” The werewolf growled possessively before moving forward to open kissed at the pale neck, lavishing it with his tongue.
Colorless blue eyes snapped open, the torrid mind finally taken in the werewolf’s words. In pure fear, he used all of his strength to push off the hungry wolf and moved around till he was on the other side of the hallway. He felt cold as he hugged his arms tightly around him, staring down on the floor.
“What’s wrong, baby?” Bowen took a step forward, reaching out for his raven.
“No.” The soft word went unheard so he kept moving forward but pulled back like he just touched a scalding hot plate when the raven-haired man screamed out a “No.”
“I can’t let you do to me what you do to your whores. Fuck ‘em and leave ‘em!” He screamed out more, tears raining down his pale cheeks.
“I won’t.” Bowen said softly as he moved to wrap his arms around the other man, protectively and loving. But he was pushed away.
“You will!” Rave then took off running down the hallway, not knowing or caring where he was going as long it was away from the stunned dark werewolf.
The hybrid just stared at the quickly getting smaller image of the one man he loved before howling out his pain and unleashed his heartbroken fury against the stone walls. Framed pictures fell, crushing to the ground from the wolf’s fury.

Days later, Rave found himself being an unwilling volunteer to the head advisor’s whims as the taller man picked through the laid out pieces of cloth for the King’s and his bride’s wedding clothes. He took the job of hanger as pieces of cloth were thrown over his head, shoulders and out stretched arms. He was no longer looking just lean and thin but thhhhhiiiiinnn. He stopped meeting the others for meals at the large dinning table. Not wanting to be in the same room as the werewolf that now he was sure hated him.
The rich earthy smell was pure tortured to his nose. The booming voice hurt his ears and he became ill when he felt the large hands reaching for him and ran out the room.
So for now, he left any source of space when he felt the hybrid was nearby. But not eating for days was slowly taken its toll on the man. He just couldn’t eat cause he just felt sick after just one bite.
“Now white will make Lord Titus look like a pumpkin. Not a good thing.” Alexander pulled off the white cloth off the poor man’s head as he spoke to his assistant who nodded and took down whatever the man said.
Sea-green eyes looked down at the older man in cleared pity. Everyone knew that the wolf-man and the bird-bastard were on the rocks with each other and each man dealt in their own way.
Bowen, training and running out in the woods behind the castle for hours. Rave, not eating and slowly starting to look like death.
“You can’t keep living like this.” The chestnut haired man told the servants to take away the cloths for now just so he can have this little heart to heart.
“I screwed up.” The usual proud and cocky voice was now scratchy and filled with unshed tears. “I ran from him and I now know that he wanted me.” Rave slowly walked towards an open window, just to feel the cool spring breeze on his graying face.
Alexander followed slowly and leaned against the wall next to the window as the other man sat on the edge. His eyes cast down as he thought out what to say next.
“Then find him and try to fix it.”
The dark heard man shook his head, wary and defeated. “He doesn’t want me now. No one wants a coward.” Arms folding around his waist.
“But it wasn’t your fault.” The taller man countered. “You were suddenly faced with what was impossible and your reflex was to run. Your body was trying to save yourself from what it though was going to be an harmful situation. Tell him that and he will understand.”
The man sniffed and pushed back unwashed hair from his face. He sighed and shook his head. “Bowen is a man that can not stay with one lover for long. I was just saving time on leaving before it got too serious.”
“Bullshit.” The sharp voiced reply was nothing new but still it was enough for the man to look up and turned his head toward the more matured man.
“It got serious when you two suddenly figured out that you wanted each other. You just ran cause you felt like you couldn’t handle that thought. My Gods, man! You two were dancing around the issue for a lifetime and everyone saw it but you two.”
Rave rubbed his forehead and laid his face in his hands. “But I can’t. It mean letting him into my dark world.” He spoke cryptically. A thin light brown eyebrow raised in question at the worlds but didn’t ask about it.
“Then let him in. Let him be the beacon of light or whatever bullshit cheesy romance novels would say at this point.” That earned a chuckled from both men. He moved to stand in front of the man, gleefully of the fact that he can be as helpfully as his eastern lover when it came to advice of love. He placed his hands on the too thin shoulders, planning on using his giant lover to bring the man down to the dinning table and made sure that the fool ate all of his food before letting him leave.
“He’s hurting too and needs you to tend to the wounds of his heart. Let him fix yours.” He tilted the head up and lightly kissed the too pale forehead. Rave sniffed and gave a soft ‘I’ll try.’
“Good. Cause that’s all I’m asking.” He laughed softly and brotherly as he ruffled the unwashed hair. He pushed at the man playfully before turning around. “Now back to work?”
He turned right back around when he heard a surprised cry and suddenly saw the soles of boots just as the rest of the man fell out the window.
“OH SHIT! RYOMA!” He cried out as he quickly ran out of the room, and rushed outside. Praying that he just didn’t killed the man. Sure he wished it on a daily basis but who knew that it would come true on the rare occasion that they were getting along for once.
Before careful what you wish for it may came true.
