Drake stared up at the older man, he looked the same as he had back then, fear paralyzed him to the spot. He heard the cracking of the whip again and the felt the flesh being torn from his skin, he remembered the face of his master, the words that had been spoken that had doomed him to this eternal hell.
'Tell him to stop and you'll be freed.'
Drake had held on until he could barely breath, until his back was just raw meat the nerves had long ago shut down, he remembered feeling the icy cold hand touch his face, turning him to stare into the face of an angel.
'Tell me, little one, tell what you want.'
Drake hadn't even paused to think of what might of happened his voice had cracked and tore from his throat in ragged gasps, 'To-b-be...Free.'
