The Agreement
Nothing... It had been a week since the 'incident', and Melanie had heard nothing from Mike. She hadn't realized how shaken up by it he'd been, but obviously, it had been a lot. Not that she didn't understand... She'd been pretty shaken up by it too. She was almost relieved when Amanda and Ross drove her car back to her home the next morning instead of Mike coming back to take her to it. Almost.
A part of her was indeed, horribly confused by it all, but another part of her had quite thoroughly enjoyed it. It'd been the most erotic thing to ever happen to her in all honesty, and she couldn't get it out of her head! It was killing her. Work seemed impossible, no matter how much she tried to forget. All she could think of was his body pressing hers against his car, ramming his swollen member into her until she came... The thought of it sent a chill through her, a sigh leaving her lips. She certainly wouldn't mind doing it again.
She felt something in her pocket. Her phone was vibrating, and rearranging the leashes in her hands, walking, and moving to grab the phone was quite the trick. She didn't even look at it as she flipped it open to see who had texted her.
'Mike'.
She swallowed. Mike had texted her. She paused in her steps, letting those two hounds she was walking sniff excitedly at the ground as she just stared at her phone for a long moment, feeling her stomach knot up. But after that moment, her covered thumb would move to hit the 'Read' button.
'Hey Mel. I need to talk to you. Can we meet tonight somewhere?' It was so simple, and yet the thought of it made her excited all over again. But then again, she began getting nervous. What should she say? Unfortunately, due to the pull from the dogs she was walking, her answer would have to wait as she shoved her phone back into her pocket and walked them home, fed them, gave them a treat, and left.
But afterwords, all she could do was sit in her car, and stare at the words. He wanted to meet. To talk about what? Well duh, of course to talk about what happened. Her mind reeled as her fingers began to type a response.
'Sure. Where and when?'
Short, simple, and to the point. She tapped the send button and started the car. The hum of it coming to life had her settling in the seat as she buckled up and drove toward home. Thankfully it was her last walk of the day.
It was almost twenty minutes later that he responded.
'O'Mally's @ 8:30 okay?'
Of course he would pick an Irish place. He loved all that stuff. Then again, him and his brother didn't have that bright red hair for nothing either.
'Sure. See you then.' Was her simple response before she went about her day. She tried to busy herself around her home... Cleaning, doing laundry, watching a movie. But as 8 rolled around, she found herself taking measures to attempt to look nice, without looking like she really tried. She hated when she felt pressured to look nice Why did she? She shouldn't have... it was just Mike. So tossing aside the sweater she was about to put on, she opted for a hoodie and jeans, a pair of chucks, and that was it. Of course she wore a coat over it, but in all honestly, she looked far from impressive.
Perhaps she was doing it on purpose, to dissuade his interest? Perhaps she felt she needed to do it... to see if he would be interested with her looking like... this? Even she wasn't sure of the reasoning, other then that, with all the knots in her stomach, the last thing she wanted to feel was uncomfortable in her clothes as well.
It was a fifteen minute drive to O'Mally's. Not a long drive at all. It was actually a longer drive for him, but she didn't question why he wanted to meet there. No matter what was going on between him, he always hated to inconvenience her. It had always been that way.
When she got there, she spotted him almost immediately. He was a hard guy to miss after all. His shape was rather... round. It was just the shape she always associated with him. He didn't seem wanting to change at all either. His attire was obviously work attire. He wore a button up shirt and jeans. That was almost TOO nice for his job, considering he worked for a new online game.
She moved along side him, forcing a smile easily onto her face as she spoke.
“Hey Mike.”
She almost chuckled when he jumped, obviously having been lost in thought before she came up to him. But his gaze snapped to her, and a smile came to his lips. Whether it was forced or not, she couldn't really tell.
“Hey... glad you could make it.” He's soon state, offering her the stool next to him. Within a few moments, she was sitting and ordering a glass of wine before looking to him with a sigh...
“So... What did you want to talk about?” She never was one to beat around the bush. Not when she was nervous and/or curious.
“Straight to the chase, huh?” He'd soon retort with a small chuckle, glancing at the bartender as her glass was placed before her. The look that came over his face was hard to read. It wasn't one she saw to often, ad she wasn't sure if she liked it or not.
“I actually just wanted to... more appropriately apologize for what I did last weekend.” He'd soon start, his gaze leaving her and looking elsewhere. Even in the darkness of the bar, she could see the faint heat building in his cheeks and ears. “I shouldn't have done that... especially with you inebriated like you were.”
Well, this was not a surprise. She had a feeling he would do this. And despite herself, she was chuckling a bit before picking up her glass with a sigh. “I wasn't THAT drunk.” She soon state, taking a sip from her glass. “And actually, it was kind of fun. So don't apologize. I needed to change the oil anyway.”
It was a lewd way to put it, but she didn't want him worrying about it. It had been a long time since she'd been with anyone. And that had been exactly what she needed. An erotically amazing screw.
“I didn't just ask you out here to apologize about that.” He soon state, though his eyes still didn't return to her. But his words brought her gaze to him. What? He didn't give her something, did he? She felt panic rise...
“I also wanted to apologize... because I can't stop thinking about it.” he paused for a moment, taking a deep breath before finally, his eyes moved to her. “And I can't help wanting to do it again.” And just the look on his face... screamed dead serious. And had her frozen to the spot.
It was her turn to become flushed as she just stared at him. She had thought he might say something along those lines. But for him to so openly just say it, well, caught her by surprise. She wasn't sure what to say. She opened her mouth to say something, only to snap it closed again. What could she say? That she too thought about it all the time and wanted nothing more than for him to throw her onto the bar and shag her brains out? But at the same time was unsure about it and was afraid to even think about what complications it would cause? She was so torn between the conflicting emotions she couldn't say anything.
“Wow. I never thought I could make you speechless.” Mike soon joked, breaking the silence between them as he pulled him gaze from her and looked elsewhere once more. This comment snapped her back to reality somewhat as she took a deep breath...
“Mike... I...”
“You don't have to say anything.” He cut her off. Not that it was hard. She'd had NO idea what she was going to say at that point. “I know it won't happen again. But I thought it was only fair that you knew that I was sorry... And that despite even that, I would love to do it again.”
“Would you let me talk for a second?” Melanie snapped slightly, earning her his full attention once more as she gave a small huff before speaking. “Who the hell are you to say what I do, and don't want to do? Hmm? Can you read my mind or something?” Well, if he didn't look surprised before, he certainly did now. The facial expression was most gratifying to her.
“For your information, you're not the only one who's been thinking about it. You're also not the only one who wants to do it again. I just didn't say anything because of the whole.... emotions thing.” What did she mean? His feelings for her of course.
He was silent for a solid five minutes, just staring at her as if she'd grown another head. But when he did move, she could noticeably see his swallow before speaking.
“If I could... If I gave you my word that emotions would not get in the way... would you do it again?” He asked it quietly. Almost too quietly for her to hear over the other occupants in the bar. But she heard it... and the words brought a smirk to her lips.
“I don't see why not.” She'd soon state, still wearing that smirk as she brought that glass to her lips once more.
This would be interesting.
