Angie
It’s 1am when I wake up drenched in sweat. I look around and remember that I’m in Cody’s room. I can see him sleeping fitfully in his computer chair, lit by the glow coming from the streetlamp outside his window. I smile, realizing he must have been sitting there in case I needed anything in the night. I get up and walk over to him. I place my hand on his shoulder and shake him so gently he doesn’t wake up.
“Mmmmm… Angie…” he mumbles and licks his lips with his soft, pink tongue. I raise my hand to his cheek and feel him snuggle slightly against my palm. My breath catches as his tongue reaches out and licks my hand gently before he falls back into a deep sleep.
I forget myself for a moment and look down at his crotch, which is a small tent in his shorts at this point. I reach for his shoulder again and shake him harder this time. “Is it morning already?” He mumbles groggily as he awakes.
“Not yet,” I say as he smiles up at me, his eyes full of both love and lust leftover from his dream. “You look really uncomfortable.” I blush furiously as I remember this afternoon and want him to hold me again. “Come lie down in your own warm bed.”
“No, Ange,” he says, the worry thick in his voice. “You need your rest.”
“I won’t be able to rest properly knowing that you’re cramped up in this chair.” I pull his hand and he stands up. “C’mon slugger, we can share.”
“Are you sure?” He says sleepily as I pull him across the room.
Still half asleep, he clumsily removes his shorts and t-shirt before collapsing into bed dressed only in his boxers. He falls asleep almost immediately and I gaze at him thoughtfully as I climb into the bed. Should I? I ponder but quickly make my decision. I cuddle close to his chest and it feels wonderfully right as I fall asleep in his arms.
The alarm rings at 8am and I feel Cody shift as he shuts it off. I notice that in the night my hand has moved down his body on it’s own and is resting lightly on the inseam of his boxers.
“Morning.” Cody says, smiling. He gingerly moves my hand as I feel a swelling start underneath. I smile up at him.
“Morning.” I answer, nervous now, as I know we have to talk about this. “Umm… About last night…” I start but Cody cuts me off.
“Last night was fine,” He says. “You have nothing to feel bad about.” He leans over and kisses me softly on the top of my head. He lingers, inhaling slightly, which makes my smile grow.
“But things like last night have been happening a lot lately. Don’t you think we should talk about this?” I ask, almost holding my breath, bracing for the worst. His smile only deepens, making me relax slightly.
“Talk about what exactly?” His voice is full of sly mischief, saying he already knows.
“Well, we’ve been having sparks flying like crazy between us,” I explain. “I know you feel it too. What I need to know is if you plan on doing anything about it. Every time I start to tell you how I feel, you run in the other direction.”
“The only reason I ran was because I thought it was all in my head. I never wanted to hurt things between us. If you didn’t feel the same way I’d have ruined our friendship. I felt like such a little pervert looking at you the way I did. I figured you must have noticed but were too nice to say anything.” I can hardly believe what I’m hearing.
“But I never did see,” I said. “All I knew was that I blinked one day and you suddenly became this hot guy. I was even surprised that you still wanted to hang around with me.”
“Of course I did.” He sounded a little surprised now. “You got yummy girl bits WAY before I got this body.” I blushed at this. “Why do you think I started working out in the first place?” He put his fingers on my shoulder and ran them over my arm gently.
“You really think so?” I asked, doubtful.
“Definitely. You’ve been my motivation for a lot of the things that I’ve been doing lately.” He smiles again and kisses my nose gently.
“Cody?” I say gently.
“Yes?” He replies.
“If I tell you something, promise me you won’t freak out…” I’m so nervous I can hardly breathe.
“That depends on what it is, but I’ll try.” He’s obviously anxious too.
“I…I…I think I love you. Not like when we were kids love you, but love you love you. Oh gosh, I don’t even know what I’m saying anymore.” I’m exasperated with myself.
“Ange?” Cody say’s deeply.
“Oh God, I’ve totally screwed this up haven’t I?” I look at him imploringly.
