Bury Me
Like the shadow of the setting sun
There was no stopping,
It hid and like a disease it ate away
Now with nothing left I can no longer breath
My body is full of this thing I cannot shake
As it takes hold I loose my fight
Everywhere I turn is like a constant ache
There is a cold touch to my fingers
A blinding light to my eyes
This constant ringing to my ears
Even in this dark, warm, empty room.
The sickness it consumes me
I dare not fight anymore
I have no strength for it.
There is nothing left but for me to accept.
Accept that I have been defeated.
For against this enemy there can be no victor.
So I shall bury myself in this grave,
The one it built for me.
For I know it shall be easier to just let it take me.
For maybe the lies it tells are the truth.
Maybe it will only lead to happiness.
