The Only Time Her Hands Ever Shook

"Honey, it's your sister. She's overdosed and is in the emergency room."
Hilda's mom's voice cut through the darkness and sleep that possessed Hilda.
"Ok. I'll be there in a few moments." Hilda said.
She placed the phone back on the reciever and started to
change out of her pajamas and into her day clothes as she
explained to her husband what had happened. She could see
the malace and satisfaction in his eyes. He knew this made
his wife look ten times better in her parents eyes. Hilda
had never touched drugs, prescription pills or any type of
liqour or beer. He also knew that if the public ever found
out, it could ruin his wife's reputation.
"I wondered when this day would ome." He said as he put his clothes on.

In the emercengy room, Hilda looked at her sister. Helga was obviously
screwed up. Helga was holding her her hand upto her ear as if she holding
her cell phone despite the fact that there was nothing there. Hilda wanted
to start slapping and hitting Helga. The girl's parents looked at Hilda's
hands. They were balled up in to two tight fists and were shaking.
