Consciousness
Blackness turned to faded gray and out of that haze shone a light. And out of the silence came a murmur and out of that distant sound came a voice - a very familiar voice coming from a familiar shadow of a face. That face, that beautiful countenance with blonde locks of hair that reflected the sunlight and fell around delicate pointy ears. She knew that face. Well. “Aldin… ALDIN! ALDIN!” she tried to scream, opening her mouth, gaping, blinking her eyes open, shut, open again, and shut. But the air, the oxygen, she could not find it. Grey came again and the sound faded as she struggled to find that precious breath. She gulped and gasped. The pain burned in her throat. As the she struggled, there came a faint cry from that familiar elf, her husband.
He was screaming, shrieking, pleading “someone fetch a healer! Fast! Please!” And then everything went black again.
