Forgive but never forget

Chapter 4: Forgive but never to forget

Ian’s mouth tasted of copper and his masters cold breath. He sat, wide eyed, staring at his masters bloody mouth and the shocked expression on his face.

Leandro, finally regaining his composure, was able to close his gaping mouth. He knew that his wound would heal instantly so that wasn’t the most of his worries. The fact that his love had bitten him hit hard.

“Ian I am not your ordinary vampire. I am only half vampire therefore I can stand daylight but I can also do many other things vampires cannot. On the other hand full vampires can do things that I cannot but Ian the point I am making is I could have chosen any other child in this world but I have chosen you. I fell in love with you the first time I saw you but Ian I will not stand your disobedient behavior. Though my wound is already beginning the healing process the fact that you have harmed me still exist,” Leandro said hardheartedly.

“Forgive me….master,” Ian said with a heavy heart. Though he had believed that no apologies should be needed because of all the hurt Leandro had put him through, he had never wanted to hurt anyone else in the process and frankly he had been ashamed of all the bad things he wanted to do to his master. His mind was fluctuating. At first he had wanted more than anything to escape and get away from that place but now it was beginning to set in that there was nothing he could do to rid himself of his master. After his mother and father were killed in a vampire raid he had wished to start over in a new home. One just as loving as his original but his dream wasn’t coming true like he had hoped. In fact he was living a nightmarish life one full of deception and pain that seemed never ending.

“Ian you have angered me to the fullest extent but I shall not punish you. You have been through much and though you deserve more than anything to be put back into your place I will not discipline you. Now rinse yourself so that I may dry you,” Leandro said, holding out a fluffy white towel. Ian wrapped himself in it and hopped out of the bath. Though he felt as clean as he had ever been his body was soiled from all the memories and scars of his past. Ones that would never wash away with mere water and soap.

After a few minutes Ian was dressed and groomed. His hair was combed neatly down and curled cutely at the ends as usual. His master had given him a few garments from his own collection to begin with which was a white button up shirt and a pair of khaki pants.

“Breakfast should be set up downstairs. You desperately need something in your stomach Ian. I want you to eat though for days ago you said that you couldn’t,” Leandro said, motioning for Ian to follow him out of the room.

“I cant eat…my stomach can handle it,” Ian replies, holding his stomach. Though he had been hungry food seemed like poison to him. He hadn’t eaten in days which was probably the cause of his fainting spells.

“You have no choice. You’ll get sick if you don’t eat and I wont have that,” Leandro said, pulling Ian along. The first day Ian had been brought to his new masters home he was given a huge dinner to which he ate none of though along the way of his escape route he had eaten slightly. He still didn’t have much of an appetite but the rumbling in his stomach told him other wise.

Down in the dinning hall there was a variety of breakfast items set out on the table. There was at least 5 flavors of muffins, bacon, sausages, steaming hot eggs, pancakes, all sorts of berries, ham, oatmeal, sausages and honey wheat bread slices, Ian’s favorite. He had never seen so much food in his life but he had known that all the food wasn’t just for himself and his master. He had known of his masters other 4 children but hadn’t seen them in 4 days because of his little escapade. He hadn’t known much about them and was quite hesitant to meet them but he knew he would have to if he was to live there.

“Have a seat Ian,” Leandro said, pulling out a chair for Ian and himself. “The boys should be down soon.”

Ian’s eyes darted around frantically. He was in a way frightened to meet his masters other children. He had not known what to expect from them but his mind hadn’t enough time to wander and farther.

“Sorry we are delayed master. We overslept,” Leandro’s oldest Angel said quietly taking a seat at the table. The other three followed. “Good morning master,” they all said in harmony.

“Good morning my loves. I want you to meet your new sibling. This is Ian,” Leandro said, placing a gentle hand on Ian’s head. Ian didn’t look up to afraid to make eye contact.

“Hello Ian. My name is Sebastian,” Leandro’s youngest said, standing to introduce himself.

“I am Callou. It is a pleasure to meet you Ian,” Leandro’s middle child said. “ and I am Dante,” another introduced.

By the older boys voices he could tell that they were much like his master and that they were much older than he. He felt like a helpless dear in the clutches of 5 hungry lions.

“So he’s a quiet one master,” Angel said, smiling harmlessly at Ian. Ian glanced up for a second catching his friendly gaze.

“He’s absolutely marvelous master where did you find such a jewel,” Sebastian said, taking a small bite out of his blueberry muffin.

“I don’t believe that should be of your concern Sebastian,” Master said, a sinister smile crossing his lips. “It doesn’t matter where he came from. He belongs to me now.”

Ian continued to stare down at his empty plate at the 3 talked. Leandro placed a few small pieces of fruit onto his plate along with a bran muffin.

“Eat Ian. You’ll feel better after you do,” Leandro said, turning to tend to his own plate. Ian merely stared down at the food and immediately his stomach began to churn. He could feel a dry heaving coming on. He placed his hand over his mouth in disgust.

“I can’t master. It’ll make me sick,” Ian said, pushing the plate away from him. He had remembered the that slap he endured earlier continued to sting the inside of his mouth and that he could use as another excuse to not eat.

“Remember our little talk Ian. I don’t like to ask twice,” Leandro said, pushing the plate back in front of him. He held it there. “ Take a bite of fruit. You need some sort of nourishment in your body especially now.”

Ian swallowed hard. He could tell that this time his master wouldn’t hesitate when it came time for his next punishment. He thought best to do as told no matter how much he despised it. He grabbed a small grape and stuffed it in his mouth as if it was as foul as garbage.

“Good,” Leandro said, turning back to tend to his own breakfast. Ian had enjoyed the fruit tremendously. It brought back his appetite like magic though he didn’t want to show how much he had enjoyed it but his stomach quickly told him otherwise. Now he was having second thoughts. The grape he had just eaten along with a few other things came back up and out into his lap.

“No more please,” Ian pleaded, feeling a bit lightheaded. Now there was absolutely nothing in his stomach and to top it off he was a bit dehydrated.

“Come with me Ian,” Leandro said, grasping Ian’s hand. His shirt was covered in a white substance that dripped down and onto his pants along with the remnants that remained around his mouth.

Leandro got a wet napkin and began cleaning him off.

“You must eat Ian. I’ll do whatever it takes to get you to eat before your stomach begins to cave in on itself,” he says, removing Ian’s shirt and pants.

“I cant eat. Didn’t you see what happened. Just let me die,” Ian says, anger and disappointment swelling up into his eyes as well as in Leandro’s for hearing Ian speak that way. He grabs Ian by his arm and hold him between the wall and himself.

“Ian never speak that way in this house ever again do you understand. I would never let anything happen to you even if you are the cause of your own harm,” He says sternly, tightening his grip on Ian. “You are to return to your room until I am able to feed you myself.”

Ian cringes at that. He hadn’t known whether is master was going to force him to eat or not. He was taken back to his room and bound once again to his bed to prevent his escape. Though he had found it quite cruel his master thought it to be necessary.

After about an hour of sulking Ian heard the doorknob to his room turn and it was no one other than his master holding a plate of fruits and hand looking abnormally strong.
