Chapter Four

My lucky star must have been shining down on me and Gordon that night for he survived. Our wounds healed and the memory faded but was never forgotten. There was no love between me and Gordon but while walking through the corridors alone one night he and I met, no words passed our lips but that simple pause and eye contact said every thing.

When I was sixteen and my body reached full maturity there was another turning point in my life. I now stood at 5’11, my dark brown hair reached the small of my back. My face had matured and my eyes were bright. My ample breasts strapped down tightly under the corset body armour, the uniform skirt a little too short, showing off my long, well shaped legs. I wiped the sweat from my forehead, it was hot outside and I’d been in the middle of a sword practice, even though it was my free time.
I knocked the door.
“Enter” came Master Hazleton gruff voice. I pushed the door open and entered “close the door behind you Kadoria, and take a seat”
I closed the door and bowed respectfully to him as he stood by the window looking down on the courtyard where my team mates were sat around chatting, where minutes ago I had been training. I sat on the hard wooden bench with a straight back.
“I’ve been watching you, Kadoria, not just today but for a long time.” He said turning away from the window and sat in front of me. I straightened my skirt and watched him intently waiting for him to get to the point. “You’re powerful, beautiful and smart and even though you so young you know exactly how to use them to your advantage”
“What?” The words burst from my lips, what was my master saying? He touched my thigh and I froze in horror as he slid it further up.
“You have just one weakness” He said as I pushed his hand off my leg. “You’re too trusting and you’re loyalty to your friends, your team will hold you back.”
“I don’t understand” I said standing up and moving toward the door. He stood and swiftly moved forward. I jumped back away from him but he merely grabbed the key and locked it, tucking the key in his pocket.
“If you make a fuss, your whole class will be punished” I felt a shiver of fear down my spine and bit my lip. I feared the schools punishments, his beatings were bearable but having taught me for eleven years they knew the best way to punish me was by a small pitch black room underground. I still can’t bare it today, in the nights I still wake up screaming at the mere memory. But to forsake my friends, my team, my Family to them for my own sake was a frightful idea.
Master Hazelton stepped towards me once more and I ran to the window but it was a three floor drop. I tried to open it so I could scream down to my team mates. I felt Master Hazelton grab my shoulder and I let out a surprised scream. I swung around blindly throwing a punch that connected with Master Hazelton’s nose but Master Hazelton had at least 300 years more experience in battle than my self. I knew I had no chance of defeating him, He struck me at the side of the head, just behind my ear, My world went black, I was still conscious but I could not see, then I understood what he’d done to me, he’d hit the optical nerve, an Elven weak spot, and temporarily blinded me. My ears rang from the blow and the blindness disorientated me. I let out a mental scream, reaching out with my mind and all most immediately I felt the response of my team, I screamed for them to help me. I tried to tell them where I was but a kick to my stomach brought me to my knees. Panting hard I struggled to arrange my thoughts and move. I felt his breath on my cheek and I threw my head towards it and connected with his nose once more, I felt blood and judging by the smell it was not mine. I struggled to my knees and he struck me again.
I felt him grab my hair and I yelped then I felt a soft piece of material get stuffed in my mouth gagging me, forcing me to breath through my nose. My hands were roughly pulled from underneath me and I fell onto my side hard hitting my head on the hard stone floor. I struggled to stay conscious as my hands were tied. I heard a knock at the door. I knew it was my team but I couldn’t get enough focus to reach out to them.
“Master Have you seen Kadoria?” it was Jimonbell’s voice I could hear and I fought to keep conscious. “Master you’re bleeding” Jimonbell’s voice was urgent and surprised as she practically screamed these words if I hadn’t been struggling to stay conscious I would have smiled in satisfaction.
“You see Kadoria has done this. I called her here to talk about her grades and when I told her that her Healing skills needed improving she struck out. I’ve managed to subdue her so if you just run along and get Master Dagon for me” Master Hazelton said his voice calm. I wanted to scream about how he was lying but it soon became too much and I lost consciousness.
Master Hazelton, having been a trusted master of the school for longer than most of the Masters, he was believed, I wasn’t given a chance to tell my side of the story, simply punished. I was sent to a holding room in sublevel Seven. My eyes were bound until my sight returned.
