Chapter 4

Nother Chapter??HOOLY!!

“Rosette!!”
“Grant! Grant where are you?!”
“Rosette!”
Rosette searched everywhere for her brother. It was pitch black wherever she was. All she could do was follow the sound of his voice.
“Grant?!”
She heard a gunshot that rang out. It rang through her ears so loudly she gripped them.
“Grant!!! Where are you?!”
She heard a grunt from a little farther away from her.
“Grant?!”
She ran until she stumbled and tripped.
“Oof!”
She heard the lump groan as she tripped over it.
“You always so clumsy, little sister.”
Light suddenly fell on the both of them and Rosette shielded her eyes. She looked down to keep from staring at the bright light and immediately regretted doing so. There, under her legs lay Grant. His breath was coming in heavily. Rosette stared and wondered why.
“The gunshot!”
She whipped her feet under her and crawled to Grant.
“Grant.”
She searched his body but found nothing to a wound. Then she saw a dark colour seep out from under his hand. She moved it and Grant let out a groan in protest but she ignored it, knowing it was only because it hurt.
“Oh Grant.”
She looked at him with saddened eyes.
“Where did this come from?”
“It came from me.”
A very creepy voice came up from in front of her, standing very close, as if he was standing over Grant. Without really thinking, Rosette leaned over Grant’s body and glared at the shadowed man.
“Why? Why did you do it?”
“He won't last long.”
Rosette looked down at him. His pants were coming faster and he began to sweat.
“Especially with you leaning on him like that.”
She cocked her head up to look at the stranger.
“I can help him.”
“What?”
She spat at him. Why would he want to help him after he just shot him? That was just stupid.
“He could live, but it’s you who decides.”
‘What kind of choice is that?’
“Of course I want him to live!”
“You haven’t let me explain the conditions yet. Don’t be so anxious if you don’t know what you’re putting at stake.”
‘At stake? Conditions? What is he talking about?’
“I’ll let him live on two conditions.”
“And those are?”
She only glared at him. Wanting him to just hurry up so she could save her brother.
“One. You must cooperate with us.”
“Cooperate? In what way?” ‘ Whose this us?’
“And two. You will not question our work. We will expect you to do what we want without question. You will not need to do research about us because you will find nothing. Do not waste your time.”
“Whatever I’ll do your little thing! Just….save my brother!”
“You are sure?”
“Yes!”
She looked down, the wound in his side seemed to be getting bigger.
“As you wish.”
As soon as he finished his sentence, everything went black and Grant was gone, along with the strange man and the light and Rosette was left in darkness.
“Rosette.”
Great, she was hearing voices again.
“Rrrrosssssseeetttttttttttttttttteeeee!!!”
“Grant!”
She screamed.
“Grant!”
Now louder this time.
“Rosette!”
