Nightlife
Alex slipped into the darkness as the couple exited the restaurant and hailed a cab. He was fairly certain they were going to Carpe p.m., the last stop of the night. He was actually looking forward to this one, nightclubs were always a part of his scene. Before long the three were entangled in the masses of attractive young people as the music blared over the loudspeakers. Alex moved through the waves of dancers and minglers, to position himself next to the couple. He was closer to her now than ever before.
Jordan was blindingly beautiful, her body moving to every beat, the rhythm flowing through her body as her long blonde curls bounced around her bare shoulders. Alex found himself mesmerized by her, then he tried to force himself to turn away quickly to head to the bar. But he wasn’t swift enough, the crowd had moved in and somehow the two had gotten closer. She was now directly next to him, and she lifted her face up to look at him. It was then he noticed her eyes. One was blue and the other was green, distinguishingly captivating. She smiled lightly and danced, rubbing her shoulder, and then her entire body, against his. Everything in Alex Statham’s head was screaming at him, every alarm in his body was going off. His body stiffened, he was getting extremely turned on. He looked for an escape, but he knew he was going to stay put, moving along with her. Their bodies gyrated together as the lights continued to flash excitedly. The moment ended, it seemed too soon, once she turned back to find her date. Alex took a deep breath, and slipped over to the bar, relieved it was over. He sipped his gin and tried to clear his head.
God, what was he thinking? She saw him, she touched him. Maybe in more ways then one. “Get a grip, Alex.” He held the chilled glass to his head. “Another drink for this man.” He turned to see Jordan’s date sit next to him. He waved him off. “No thanks.”
“No worries, you look like you need it.” If the man had seen him earlier, dirty dancing with his girlfriend, he definitely would not be buying him a drink. He had to chuckle. “Cheers.” This conversation needed to end fast however, this was definitely not protocol, what he was doing was dangerous to the mission. He thanked the man for the drink, then excused himself. Tonight was over. Alex could only go home and hope none of his careless actions had caused any recoil in his overall purpose. As he went outside to greet the chilly night, a tall brunette strutted up to him. “Hey sexy, fancy a roundabout?” Alex shook his head, then quickly changed his mind. He had a lot of built up tension caused by tonight, and he needed to let it out somehow.
He took the woman home to his apartment. It came as a second nature to him, he couldn't even count how many women have passed through his front door- and out again. The woman was clearly a prostitute, a very hot one at that. She was a professional too, and Alex paid her for the night. "Well, I guess you can do whatever you want to me, then." She licked her lips. Alex gave a little half-smile. "Take off your clothes and get on the bed." She did, peeling off each article of clothing until she was completely naked, then spread herself out on his bed, staring back at him seductively. "You're turn, sexy." Alex unbuttoned his shirt, revealing his well-sculpted abs. His pants came off much quicker, and he joined her on the bed in no time. "Okay, Jordan. Turn around." He said as he prepared to enter her tight ass from behind.
"My name is Amy."
"Not tonight it isn't. Tonight, your name is Jordan."
The light shone in the window, hitting him square in the eyes. He sat up, rubbing his bare shoulders and trying not to reflect on the previous night’s events. As he got up to shower, his foot crunched on something. A note. He picked it up, squinting his eyes to read the handwriting. Hey sexy, thanks for the great night! You looked so peaceful, just decided to leave you that way. Xoxo Amy. Her name was Amy? He shook his head, and moaned. God, his head was killing him. The phone rang, it was Ruben. “Mornin’, Alex!” He mumbled something into the phone. “Buddy, you must have had quite the night. I’m curious to hear about it. Fancy a cup of joe at Eddie’s? It’ll clear your head, I swear.”
“Sounds good, Ruben. I’ll be there in half an hour.”
Ruben studied him closely. “Jesus, how much did you drink?”
“Too much.” He leaned back in the chair, arms crossed. “What have you gotten yourself into now?” He tossed the note across the table, and Ruben chuckled as he read it. “Well, at least she had enough decency to leave you this instead of skivvies." Ruben laughed and said, “Okay buddy, do me a favor. Lay off the booze, and stop picking up random chicks on street corners.” Alex groaned.
He went to the office shortly afterwards. Michael was seated at his desk, and barely acknowledged him until he was finished typing on his laptop. He looked up. “I hope you have something for me.” He tossed the observation tape to him. Michael listened to it briefly before shutting it off. “Sounds like you stuck to her all day.”
“You could say that.” Michael nodded at this and continued his work. It was supposed to be a dismissal, but Alex had something to say. “I’m doing it tonight, Michael.” His brother looked up in surprise. “You have until the 30th, you know.”
“I need to get this done.”
“Are you certain you are prepared enough? You can’t screw this up, it will cost us.” Alex shook him off. “You have nothing to worry about. As of midnight tonight, it will be done.”
