Chapter 4: Two Days At the Bahamas
Then we arrived at the Bahamas at around 12:00 p.m. then went to sign-up for parasailing and went to look around for a while before it opened up at 2:30 p.m. While we were there I saw a stand that sold purses and I bought one of each color for my friends back in Oklahoma and there was six different colors. We then moved on to another stand that sold different kinds of jewerly and watches. I was looking at a particular pair of diamond studded earrings that the cashier let me look at, that I had thought about getting my sister.
While I was looking at them the cashier excused himself to attend to another customer who happened to be Samuel. I saw him out of the corner of my eye looking at something but didn't think about it at the time. I had finally noticed that he was looking at a beautiful gold necklace with a heart shaped pendant that appeared to have a cluster of what looked like crushed diamonds in the middle. The cashier quickly slipped the necklace into a tiny velvet box and closed it.
I also noticed that he was looking at a beautiful gold ring with a beautiful sapphire in the middle with two diamonds on each side. The cashier then slipped the ring into a velvet box, closed it and handed both boxes to Samuel. He then paid for them and stuck them in his pocket. The ring and the necklace were very expensive. The cashier then joined me once again and I stated that I would like to purchase the earrings. I gave him the desired amount and we left the stand to go and get something to eat. When we spotted a BBQ stand I ordered a BBQ sandwhich, fries and a drink. Samuel got the same and purchased our lunches.
When we had finally found a place to sit and eat, under a tall oak tree, we sat down and started to eat. When we were finished it was about 1:30 p.m. so we went to check in at our hotel. When we arrived at the hotel and had checked in we immediately left and went to get our luggage off the ship to bring up to our room. When we got back the hotel was completely empty and went to look around the hotel to see if we could find someone to talk to. I started to get scared and stuck closer to Samuel. Then Samuel and I heard a noise from inside a closet, Samuel went to open the door and when he did Lauren came out and hugs me, crying her eyes out but before I could say anything Shawn and Jandy come flying down the stairs.
"Run!" they screamed and all of a sudden there was this huge explosion. "So much for parasailing," I thought as we fell onto the floor from the blast, Samuel quickly came over to me covering me from the falling debris. When the smoke had cleared and we had risen to our feet reluctantly we went back to the ship Samuel holding me in a strong but gentle embrace. When we arrived at the boat there was no one there it almost seemed as if they had vanished into thin air, but that was ridiculous right? I thought to myself.
I quickly pushed the thought aside and concentrated on what was happening at the present time. We talked a few minutes and we decided that it would be best if we left the Bahamas as soon as possible. So unwillingly we boarded the boat. One problem we faced was that none of us knew how to pilot a boat so we had to consult the manual for the ship.
