||Broken Inside||4
Promises mean everything when you're little
And the world's so big
I just don't understand how
You can smile with all those tears in your eyes
Tell me everything is wonderful now
She stood silently looking down at the floor. She was dressed in black and was surrounded by family and friends but didn’t want to be there. She stared down into a hole, where her father's body lay in an oak coffin. Death had finally caught up with him in the end like she suspected was going to happen. Erick stood next to her, looking down into the hole also, only imagining what it must look like. Soft crying and sobbing was the only sound coming from the whole area, but these two were the only ones with out tears in their eyes. They only stared stoically at the dead body of their father before they both turned in sink and began to walk out of the cemetery, holding each other's hand.
Go to my room and I close my eyes
I make believe that I have a new life
I don't believe you when you say
Everything will be wonderful someday
They both silently walked home, up fifth-avenue and down the sidewalk, through the golden gate and the white doors into the home where the oak floors rang. Erick gently let go of his sister's hand, making one of the worst mistakes of his life and slowly headed to his room while she looked down to her hand that was once holding his and she began to head of the stairs slowly. Erick just shut his door all the way when she reached the top of the stairs and she stood there for a long moment and took two steps to her bedroom door before stopping and looking back down the stairs to Erick's door and she stared for a long while.

When you tell me everything is wonderful now
Suddenly she sank to her knees on the floor. Her dress spreading out around her and her hands began to shake as she looked down at them as tears filled her eyes. She suddenly hugged herself leaning forward, placing her forehead on the ground as she began to sob loudly.
"Please don't tell me everything is wonderful now!!" She began to scream out as tears freely fell from her eyes and she sat up, still hugging herself.
"NO!! I don't wanna hear you tell me everything is wonderful now!!" Her screams and cries echoed throughout the house, but Erick stayed in his room, leaning on the back of the door and listening to his sister cry out. He smiled slightly to himself. This was the first time she has cried since she was four. Maybe everything WILL be wonderful someday...
I don't wanna hear you say
That I will understand someday
No, no, no, no
I don't wanna hear you say
You both have grown in a different way
No, no, no, no
I don't wanna meet your friends
And I don't wanna start over again
I just wanna my life to be the same
Just like it used to be
Somedays I hate everything
I hate everything
Everyone and everything
Please don't tell me everything is wonderful now...
And the world's so big
I just don't understand how
You can smile with all those tears in your eyes
