Shock in the dark

            After
sitting in the bed of the room we had already been in we finally fell asleep.
The rancid smell of the dead and decaying as well as the newly dead from our
moment of irritation with the soldiers was still ever present but we had
finally gotten use to it.

            We were
truly unique in that aspect as being able to get use to such a horrid smell in
our presence but then it possibly even helped us get to sleep. Nothing could
have prepared us for what we woke up to however; it had also irritated me more.

            Looking
down upon us from a standing position was the curious looking face of a young
looking brunet child with freckles on her cheeks and bright blue eyes.

            “Hello!”
she shouted suddenly startling me and Kida both.

            “What in
the nine hells…” Kida said with confusion as to how we got where we were now
from the other place.

            “Oh don’t
worry your safe now. My daddy dropped you off on his way back to work he said
you’re my new friends.” The girl said with a smile.

            I looked
around the room still pondering how we were moved while we were asleep and
where we had been taken. The walls of the room were a sky blue with three beds
squeezed into what seemed to be a 14x10 room with a closet and bathroom.

            Not that it
seemed relevant but there was a tv
sitting on a stand in the corner next to the closet door in the left wall of
the room, and of course I just noticed the beds made a triangle the way they
were set in the middle of the room.

            “Where are
we?” I asked finally looking at the girl who was giving me an odd look like she
was giving me a look over.

            “Your in my
school its full of people just like us with special
powers and stuff you’ll fit right in I think.” She smiled widely.

            Kida looked
at me but all I was doing was gritting my teeth and growling like a lion with
literally the same sound.

            Giving my
head a good shake I got myself out of the bed Kida of course shortly flopped
back down in it and went back into a deep sleep which was concerning me.

            Unfortunately
not a few seconds after I got out of bed the room door was kicked in and
shattered and some bald six foot muscle bound idiot stepped in with a wicked
grin.

            “Ah…my new
play things…and my sex toy…” he said with a deep gurgling voice going from me
to the girl next to me.

            The girl of
course screamed and went past me into the corner and balled up.

            “Please no!
Not anymore just leave me alone!” she shouted her eyes beginning to tear up as
he started into the room.

            It was then
his eyes fell on Kida and he stopped before I stepped over in front of the bed
she was on which of course was the closest to the door, and him.

            “Well…class=SpellE>shes a beauty…give her to me and I’ll let you both alone
for today.” He said smiling and licking his lips as he walked towards her till
I stopped him.

            “Out of my
way midget!” he said grabbing my arm and swinging me around only to have me
swing him after he let go through the wall on my right side.

            “Sorry
theres only room for one badass and I’m sorry to inform you that’s
me.”

I glared at him angrily.

            “You just
signed your death chart roach!” he said shaking his head and getting up.

            As tired of
the humans games as I was it was about time I got something to burn off some of
my frustration, the problem was I didn’t know anything about this lumbering
oaf.

            The large
man charged me and unexpectedly rammed hard into me running me through wall
after wall at very high speeds making it obvious he was very fast.

            He
eventually stopped tossing me a good distance in a large room that appeared to
be a gym room or some large enough for exercise or training. It was by my guess
it was at least a very yards large and wide, which meant plenty of space for me
to open up as well.

            “Say good
bye roach…if by some chance you live and I get bored your me knew play thing.”
He said glaring at me with a wicked grin.

            As much has
I was in the mood for delaying a fight I was very concerned about Kida and
wanted to get back to her.

            The large
buffoon charged me again and with the same speed he put out I jumped up and
used my feet to turn around him pushing off on his shoulder hard so he flew
into the ground.

            “class=SpellE>Dumbass…” I said looking sideways at him and rolling my
head around with total relaxation.

            He got up
and let out a horrid roar at me in which I smiled and let out one much more
horrid then his own which caught him off guard.

            Summoning a
large swirl of dark fire to protect myself from him I turned into my true demon
form which no bigger then him in his human form was still fearsome.

            Stretching
myself out good as I looked upon my own fingers and toes arms and legs which I
had not seen in a long time. My Long black finger with their razor claws on
them, my sharp little teeth made perfect for ripping flesh off anything with
it, my beautiful short agile legs, and last but not least my long black tail.

            “I love my
tail…” I said in a deep sinister sounding voice.

            My blood
red eyes fell upon the now cowering oaf of a creature his eyes wide with fear
as he gazed upon me in my true form, the form of a shadow ifrit. The form of
one of the most fearsome creatures of our world, me and Kida were the last but
also the most powerful of our kind.

            “Now where
were we?” I said scratching my chin as I fiddled with my tail a moment.

            My opponent
took a step back fear still very much in his eyes as he did so, I took a step
towards him as he backed up.
