Chapter 4

Hm… been a while since I updated this, ne? Well, let’s get to it, then!

Thanks to Sekre for reviewing!

A/N: I know there’s a lot of characters to get used to and I’m introducing a lot of them all at once, so at the beginning of this chappy, I’ll list the characters I’ve used so far and a brief bio of them (basically just a description and their relations to each other). Hopefully that will be of some help.

Itsuki Rutherford: Black, shoulder-length hair; crimson eyes; average height; 16; arrogant; popular; Ai’s boyfriend; Kali’s older twin brother.

Kali Rutherford: Silver, shoulder-length hair; blue eyes; average height; 16; mild-mannered; polite; no significant other; Suki’s younger twin.

Aishiteru Narumi: Messy, dark purple hair; yellow eyes; a tad on the short side; 15; self-assured; Suki’ boyfriend; Ayame’s older twin brother.

Zion Pesudo: Short, white hair; silver eyes; short; 17; violent; controlling; no significant other; Xi’s best friend.

Xi: Light blue, short hair; lighter blue eyes; short; 14; soft-spoken; kind; no significant other; Zion’s best friend.

Kalelle Hilbert: Short, brown hair; golden eyes; tall; 20; good-natured; friendly; Sailes’ boyfriend.

Sailes: Long, black hair; green eyes; average height; 16; laidback; Kalelle’s boyfriend.

A/N: There are other characters related to these that I didn’t put in for the sake of not confusing you all further. And, of course, there will be more characters introduced this chappy!

“Come on, slow ass!” Suki shouted, grinning back behind him. Another day of school had come and gone like so many others. Boring classes that were slept through, mobs of fangirls (and boys) to wade through. Oh yes, Suki had it hard. Thankfully, he was free from the prison he had basically come to run for another day and was now racing the others home. Namely, his mocking words were being directed at the boy almost directly behind him: Zion. The white-haired teen glared back at the taunting one, speeding his pace up in an attempt to catch up with Suki. Of course, the latter had taken quite an interest in running at an early age, and quickly sped ahead.

A tongue came sticking out at Zion, adding insult to injury as the black-haired boy raced toward the house…and smacked right into a person standing at the entrance. A snort was heard behind him, most likely from Zion, and Suki shot a glare over his shoulder before turning his attention to whoever was rude enough to be in his way, “Who the hell are yo-…” The crimson-eyed boy trailed off once he took in the stranger’s full appearance. The boy before him was older, most definitely, about eighteen years in appearance. He had short red hair that waved down to his jaw line and dark orange eyes that were almost black more than the usual bright color associated with orange. He stood in a rather relaxed posture, glancing back at the boy that had just collided with his back.

A small smirk covered the new-comer’s lips as he turned half way to get a better look at the now-standing one, “Hello, Itsuki.”

Said boy tensed slightly and narrowed his eyes at the other, “Don’t call me that.” He ordered.

”Why would I listen to you?” the elder wondered aloud, tilting his head to the side and chuckling to himself at the pout forming on the crimson-eyed one’s lips.

“You’re such an ass.” Suki shot back, obviously having known this boy for quite some time to fall into such a routine.

“I know.” Came the short reply as he glanced past the short one to the arriving boys. Zion had been waiting, looking annoyed, for the short conversation, and now Ai, Xi, Sailes, Kali, and two other boys were joining them. In particular, the new boy turned his attention to the white-haired teen, “So, Lusty, Neko still faster than your short little self?”

“Don’t call me that, either!” Suki growled, glaring daggers at the nickname.

“But you’re such a cute little…”

“Belial, don’t piss him off.” Zion chided, annoyed, “It’ll just give him more reason to complain.”

A small chuckle sounded from the one known as Belial, “But he’s so much fun.”

“Oooooh, bastard!” the dubbed fun one huffed, glaring and pouting at the same time.

At that moment, Ai wrapped his arms around his boyfriend’s waist from behind, leaning his chin on the slightly taller one’s shoulder, “Be nice to my Suki.” He demanded in a childish way.

Orange-black eyes rolled at the possessive boy as another looking much like Ai stepped up next to the couple. His identical messy hair was a dark brown and his hazel eyes weren’t quite as creepy as his brother’s. He tilted his head to the side, looking at Belial, “I’m guessing you’re here for Kiyo?” he asked, referring to his and Ai’s elder brother.

“Naturally.” Came the confirmation and Ayame shook his head.

“Aren’t you over him yet?” Suki wondered, tilting his head, the tiniest hint of jealously lacing his voice. Of course, the tone went unnoticed by neither Belial or Ai.

“Why would I be?” the red head asked, “He’s so cute!”

“Ugh.” Suki groaned, shaking his head, “Whatever you say.”

A hand came down to pat the black head, “Of course.”

“Bastard.” Came the muttered comeback as the shorter one leaned back into his boyfriend.

“I know.” A shrug accompanied the response before Belial waved a hand and turned, walking inside to hunt down the unfortunate Kiyo.

“I wonder why he’d come here.” Ayame pondered aloud.

“To see his precious Kiyo.” Suki sneered, more jealous than before.

“Why do you care?” the purple-haired teen interjected, on the verge of being hurt that Suki seemed to care more about Belial than him.

Not noticing his lover’s tone, the elder answered, “Why would I?” he demanded, stubbornly obvious that he did.

“Because you’re jealous of Kiyo, why the hell does Belial mean so much to you anyway? You always get depressed over him.” Ai continued, glaring slightly now.

“I’m not jealous of that bastard, I hate him.” Which was probably the exact wrong thing to say at the time.

“And why is that?” Ai pressed, nearly seething now.

“Because Belial’s obsessed over him.” He answered truthfully, though not intelligently.

“I’m so sick of this! Why does he mean so much?” the younger one exploded.

Crimson eyes blinked at the outburst and a small frown formed on the teen’s lips, “Because he means a lot to me, why is that so wrong?” he defended himself, “Am I not allowed to be close to anyone other than you?”

“I never said that, now did I? Gods, whatever, if you want to be with Belial, then be with him. We’re over.” With that said, Ai stormed off into the woods, leaving Suki dumbfounded.

“Wha…wait!” The latter called after the pissed boy, but to no avail. Sighing, the frown became more noticeable and Suki shook his head, walking inside.

Ayame groaned softly to himself before following his twin into the woods to try and console him, leaving Zion, Xi, Sailes, Kali, and the last boy, Shindou, to carry on with their lives. The last boy, only a few months older than Xi, looked to the others through purple-tinted eyes. His messy brown hair was reminiscent of Ai and Ayame’s, as they were his elder brothers, though considerably shorter and slightly more well-kept due to his younger age. His look was one of confusion, “Who was that?” he asked the four remaining.

“Belial, duh.” Zion answered, sarcastically.

Seeing that that explained nothing to the young boy, Xi offered more detail, “He’s a Satan.”

“Oh, right.” The brunette recalled, looking at Zion, “Like you, right?”

Silver eyes rolled, “Yes, like me.”

The blue-haired boy nodded, “Zion is Lust and Belial is Pride.” He explained further.

“Isn’t there seven? One for each sin?” Kali interjected, not being quite familiar with the topic.

Xi nodded again, “Yeah. Lust, Pride, Gluttony, Greed, Envy, Wrath, and Sloth.”

“And then Kiyo.” Sailes added, shrugging, “Luci himself.”

“Uh huh.” Shindou acknowledged, knowing full well that his eldest brother was Lucifer.

“Why Belial would come to Earth, though…” Sailes pondered, then shrugged, “Oh well, not my problem.” With that he ventured inside. Zion seconded that statement by following him in the orphanage, not caring the slightest bit about Belial or Kiyotaka’s business.

Shindou looked at the remaining boy, “Why is it weird that Belial would come here?” he asked.

Xi tilted his head in thought, “Well, usually he wouldn’t come to Kiyotaka unless he was in Hell, I think.”

“Oh…then do you think there’s something wrong?” the slightly older boy wondered.

Xi shook his head and smiled, “I’m sure everything’s fine, he probably just missed him since he hasn’t been in Hell for a while.” That seemed to satisfy the brunette as he nodded and headed inside, Xi close behind.
