Remember Me
The rain quiets my every thought
as it beats against the pane,
the lonely sound of the running water
treat me with disdain.
Our time together if only in the rain,
and being just a dream,
it speaks and calls and echo's her name,
which rises from the steam.
It brings her likeness into view,
an angel in disguise,
she puts her finger to her lips,
quietly, I close my eyes.
The echo tells me in my mind
of how we used to be,
repeats the words I always dream,
remember me,
remember me....
