A Dream
A Dream
I had a dream last night
As so many nights before
Of a boy I know and try to ignore
But it doesn\'t work.
As I sit here my dream returns
To haunt my waking hours.
I\'ve tried to forget him,
And it almost worked
But it failed again last night.
I dreamed of kissed so sweet
I ache to feel his touch.
I awoke in a sweat
And swore under my breathe
Again he\'s found my dreams.
So I sit here in a daze
Dreaming of him by the light of day.
Curse you for your sweetness,
I beg you leave me be
For what you taunt, I cannot have
But only in my dreams.
