\"I am very disappointed in Sir Martin,\" said the King. \"He had better have a good reason for missing this celebration.\"
Sir Jay, Lord Drake, Lord Oriole and Lord Finch looked at each other.
\"Your Majesty, perhaps something happened out at sea,\" said Sir Jay.
\"Yes,\" said Lord Drake. \"There have been reports of pirate ships in the area where Sir Martin was headed.\"
They had returned from their quest for the King in time for the Royal Ball that was being held to celebrate the one year anniversary of the Prince and his bride\'s wedding.
\"Sir Martin has never given you reason before to be disappointed in him,\" said Lord Oriole.
\"Shall we send out a search party to find him?\" asked Lord Finch.
\"No,\" said the King. \"I have you all here. We\'re going to have the Royal Ball with or without Sir Martin in attendance.\"
Sir Martin\'s loyal friends were worried that something terrible may have happened to their beloved leader. They wanted to set sail immediately, but it would be futile without any clues to Sir Martin\'s whereabouts.
