Alexandria
---six months later---
I sat in the backyard reading while Tarrence and Jaleel played one-on-one.I was eight months and three weeks into my pregnancy and was going crazy since I couldn\'t race or ride with the Renegades.
Tarrence had taken my keys and hid them just because, \"He liked to see me suffer.\" I could\'ve slapped him for that comment, but I didn\'t. The summer sun beat down making the temperature rise several degrees, Tarrence and Jaleel had shed their t-shirts and were both in caiki shorts. About five minutes later Tarrence and Jaleel dropped into the chairs across from me and gulped down iced-tea. I glanced at Tarrence, only a few weeks ago we had decided to find out the sex of the baby, a girl, we decided on the name Alexandria Selene. Tarrence and Jaleel had been working on a small nursery in the second bedroom of the condo, it was light blue with silver sparkles all over the walls.
Suddenly my thoughts of the room faded followed by excruciating pain, I bent over gasping for air, Tarrence was in front of me a few seconds later, \"Trick, Trick, calm down. Jaleel bring the car around.\" He pulled me into his hot and sticky arms and helped me into the car.
I awoke a few hours later in a hospital bed, the last thing I remembered was coming to the hospital and being in the ER. I tried to sit up, but pain blazed in my head and I fell back. I looked over to see Tarrence holding a fuzzy pink blanket, it moved and he came over. He kissed my forehead and placed the blanket in my arms, it was a small baby girl, our Alexandria, she had my green eyes and a bit or fuzzy dark brown hair. I cradled her in my arms and looked at Tarrence, \"Shes beautiful,\" I kissed her forehead and watched her as she slept, \"When do we take her home?\"
Tarrence pulled a chair up beside the bed, \"In about a week or so. You thirsty ot anything?\" I shook my head, \"No, no I\'m fine.\" I smiled down at Alex and let her wrap her tiny fingers around my index finger. Tarrence smoothed my hair down and put his head on my pillow, the next time I looked at him he was asleep.
We brought Alexandria home, she seems to like her nursery, the specks of silver on the wall sparkle and keep her attention when it\'s a sunny day. Tarrence has turned into this father figure all of a sudden, he\'s constantly picking her up, feeding her, changing her, and watching her sleep. I\'ve returned to my old ways, though I do stay home most of the time to keep track of Tarrence and Alex. I had to catch up on the latest meetings and I had a few races, a bunch a punks think that just because I\'ve been out awhile means i can\'t race. I proved them wrong.Half-N-Half was throwing a \'Girls Ride\' party for my coming back and proving I still got what it takes, of course when I came out that night with half a head of cornrows a one-strap tanktop and my boyish black cargos Tarrence looked taken aback. \"Did time turn backwards or have you forgotten you have a kid now.\"
I giggled, \"Half-n-half\'s idea.\"
He shook his head and chuckled, \"Should\'ve known, I guess I\'m not coming?\"
I pulled him close and kissed him fiercely, \"chicka\'s only love.\" He pulled back as we were interrupted by Alexandria\'s cries, he caressed my lips with his thumb and went into the nursery. I found my white embroirdered bandanna, tied it over my head and placed my black cap backwards over it.
I came out of the garage on my black and silver Suzuki GSxR. I caught up with the girls on the freeway and we rode out a bit tearing up the freeway like the crazy biker girls we were. We stayed out late until we hit the Ruff Ryders club. We got checked and got in, after finding a place to stand among the crowd we chatted, \"Damn Trick, you only been home with the baby two weeks or so and you\'re already out here being yourself again, whats going on? Tarrence not sufficing you?\"
I laughed and switched the beer Chelsi had placed in my right hand into my left, \"No, I just missed this so much, being pregnant, but oh my god you should see Alex, she\'s the sweetest little thing, and I know Tarrence adores her.\"
\"He must,\" Half-n-Half chuckled, \"He let you come out here tonight and stayed home with her. You\'ve been together what, three years?\"
I nodded my reply as a tall man with semi-long blonde hair came forward and stepped towards me, I coughed smelling alocohol on his breath as half-n-half moved a few inches closer to me, \"Hey baby,\" He grinned, \"You want t-to dance.\"
I smirked and tugged the front of my bandanna down showing the Name Trickster in Silver and black letters, \"You know boy, I would, but the Trickster doesn\'t dance with drunk white boys.\" He jumped back and dropped the bottle in his hand, he stalked off without another word.
I stuck my tongue out and bit it to stifle my laughter, half-n-half elbowed me gently, \"Very nice use of power and name Trick.\"
Chelsi nodded, \"Yes very, now can we please get some drinks? I didn\'t come to have a sober girls night out, never have and I never will.\"
Tarrence opened the door as I stumbled in from the garage, \"Trick, what happened?\" His voice was stern he already knew.
\"Tarrence, I-I didn\'t...\" I fell into his arms as he gently picked me up and took me to the bedroom.
\"I guess me thinking a pregnancy would change you was a mistake,\" He scowled as he removed my shoes and placed me under the covers on the bed, \"Just get some sleep, I\'ll kill you in the morning.\" He grinned and kissed my forehead.
