The Citadel

Chapter 4: The Citadel

The morning came very quickly for all Angels in Heaven. This was the day the war would begin. All Celestials had been told of Sinduin\'s attack, and had blessings for thier homes and families. The morning came most painfully for Oharas, as he awoke, even the sight of his brides could not comfort him.
\"It is time.\" he said.
Oharas rose, and woke his brides, walking over to the armor that lay in wait at the end of the room. His brides were dressed quickly, and covered themselves in their steel plate armor in a few moments. Oharas donned his armor slowly. That of the ancient samurais, this armor was lightweight and strong, but this armor could take a blow from Oharas\' Perfect Swords, and thus offered more protection. The group of Angels shared a meal with their children before departing. John and Exscelsiya arrived before the others, Goediel came next, Efariel after him, Suhamiel and Estaro came next, and many came after that.
Lucifer, Abaddon, and Aftiel arrived last, and seated themselves at the head of the table with Oharas, his brides, and his oldest children.
\"Where is Sariel? And Eloiel? Where have they gone?\" Oharas asked.
\"They are talking with the children, they are unnerved by this, they\'re consoling some of the younger ones.\" Lucifer answered.
The meal was simple, rice, a large bowl of noodles, and a small helping of beef. The Angels said their prayers and grace, and departed from the empty table. Oharas strapped his katana and wakizashi to his side, and the tanto to his back, Lucifer and Abaddon had already readied their swords for battle, and he found them polishing their Angel Lances outside.
\"So, you finally decided to come out?\" the silver-haired Abaddon said sarcastically.
Oharas acknowledged the comment with only a polite nod and walked toward his siblings. Lucifer rested his silver lance upon a nearby table and pulled a sharpening stone out of his pocket. He picked the lance from the table and ran the flattened stone against the axe-like blade on the end of the lance.
\"You needn\'t sharpen the blade, it\'s a new weapon.\" Oharas said, sitting next to Lucifer.
\"You can never be sure...\" Lucifer said, smirking.
Oharas relaxed his tense muscles, he had known this day would come, but it didn\'t mean he would be ready. Raziel and Oharasu arrived some time later, Ayame arrived a few moments later, with her broadsword strapped to her back. John and Exscelsiya came from the doorway to Oharas\' mansion, and joined the small group, just as Cain walked up the steps to their meeting place.
\"Johnifel, we are heading to the Throne Room, we must inquire as to where the first battle will take place.\" Oharas said.
\"Father......I told you many years ago to stop calling me that, it\'s just John, alright?\" John said.
\"Alright.....Johnifel....\" Oharas laughed.
John sighed, and laughed softly as he spread his wings with the others. The Angels ascended quickly into Heaven\'s skies, and turned north toward God\'s great cathedral. As they neared it, they could see the tall white spires that reached into the sky, and the towering cross upon the great dome of the cathedral.
\"What a show-off, He has always done what he could to impress.\" Oharasu muttered.
The Angels landed, and realized they were not the only ones who wondered where the war would begin. Bardiel was there, and bowed deeply as Oharas passed him.
\"Young Zoda, you need not bow, you are not my lesser, but my equal.\" Oharas said softly.
Bardiel did not believe what he had heard, was he Oharas\' equal? He did not know.
\"Thank you, my lord.\" Bardiel said.
Oharas and his troop continued past the golden doors to the Throne Room, and kneeled before the Throne of God. But as they kneeled, they felt a darker presence among them. They were one-hundred paces away from the Throne, and looked up to see a dark figure within twenty paces of God\'s Throne. The creature was none other than Sin, the beast hated by all Celestials. To his left, Abbacus could be seen being restrained by two strong Zodas. The Angel screamed curses and tried to slip from the grip of Honaffiel and Segurel, but they would not free him.
Oharas\' hatred for Sin burned in his heart as well, it was because of Sin that his eldest son, Menniyel, had been slain, he was the reason that Lucifer returned to evil many a millennia ago, he was also the reason that Abbacus had lost his family, these deeds were unforgivable, but he restrained himself.
\"Where will the battle take place, Dark One?\" Jehovah asked.
\"The Citadel of Anariel, on the planet of Chiga.......but if You would prefer another place, I can have that arranged for You.\" Sin said, snarling.
Jehovah sighed deeply, and rested in His throne.
\"Very well then, the Citadel, we will battle there.\" He said with a sense of wavering patience.
Sin smirked, and turned to face the kneeling Angels, cackling as he walked toward Oharas.
\"Bowing before me already, Oharas?\" Sin laughed.
Oharas rose quickly to his feet, drawing the tanto from his back, and holding it to Sin\'s throat.
\"I bow to no one, you filth.\" Oharas said hatefully, baring his fangs to Sin.
\"You bow to Him,\" Sin said, nudging his head toward Jehovah, \"so do not lie to me. And pull your blade from my neck, you\'ll not slay me this day, no, you\'ll not slay me for many days, if ever, old friend.\" Sin hissed.
Oharas snarled a curse in Oharan, and sheathed his tanto, glaring at the great demon.
\"Obedient, are we?\" Sin said.
\"Don\'t try him, Sin. You have no idea what force\'s boundaries you are testing.\" Abbacus said.
Sin hissed at Abbacus, and walked toward him, staring into his eyes.
\"You sicken me, you pathetic scum.\" Sin said.
Abbacus freed his right hand long enough to slash at Sin with his claws, leaving five long gashes across his chest. Sin stepped back, his wounds already healing.
\"You need to keep your servants under control, Lord.\" Sin said as he turned to walk out of the Throne Room.
Kia stopped him, however, grasped the collar of his dark robe, and pulled him close.
\"You will pay for your actions, Sin, there is no forgiveness for you, even in God\'s presence.\"
She released him, and he looked to the Palace\'s gates, and saw a half legion of Angels with their hands on the hilts of their swords, ready to strike him down.
\"Fools.....\" Sin said as he spread his ten black wings and flew from the Throne Room, laughing madly.
Abbacus was freed, and he walked to Oharas, licking the black blood from his sharp claws.
\"I cannot wait to taste all of it.\" Abbacus whispered to himself.
\"You\'ll have your chance, soon enough.\" a voice said from the shadows.
The figure stepped into the light, and it was none other than Lucius, Oharasu\'s son. The young Angel stepped forward, kneeling before the Throne.
\"My Lord.\" he said.
Lucius looked more like his grandsire than he did his own father. His black hair fell to his shoulders, his eyes were coal-black, and he was dressed in his ceremonial robe, bearing the symbol of the Zodanim on a necklace he wore around his neck.
\"Lucius, what information did you gather from the Dark One?\" Jehovah asked.
\"I infiltrated his mind, and found the number of the army they plan to use for the first battle.\" Lucius answered.
Lucius was a very talented psychic, a well-trained swordsman in many styles of combat, and a fantastic seer, his name was well known in Heaven.
\"And what number is that?\" the Lord asked.
\"One hundred and fifty legions of demons.......my Lord.\" Lucius said.
\"It seems like a small force compared to what he has sent upon us in the past.\" Abaddon said quietly.
\"Are you sure that your probing was not noticed?\" Lucifer asked.
\"I am sure, I put every guard and blessing upon the probe that it would allow, mental probes can only handle three holy blessings before becoming easily noticed.\" Lucius answered.
Cain walked toward Lucius, Uma at his side, her long black hair flowing behind her. Uma was darkly beautiful, her face was slightly tattoed, and she had a very generous figure. She was clad in black plate armor, and her long, curved scimitar was sheathed and attached to her belt. A chinese saber and willow leaf sword were Cain\'s weapons of choice, and telekinetic energy held them to Cain\'s back, they needed no sheath.
\"Good work, boy,\" Cain said, patting him on the back, \"now we know how many legions we should prepare. Such a talented psychic for such a young age, now all you need is a woman and you will have everything you need.\" Cain laughed.
Lucius laughed with him, but he could not help but feel lonely. The Angel Michael joined the small group, and greeted them cheerfully, somewhat odd, due to the usually serious attitude of the great Archangel.
\"Friends, we cannot delay, we must reach the Citadel, Sin cannot beat us to it.\" he said.
\"Lucifer, did you ready your assassins?\" Oharas asked.
\"Yes, my brother, they are awaiting orders.\" Lucifer said, bowing.
\"Good, then we are fully prepared for this war.\" Oharas whispered.
\"Lucius, will you be joining us?\" John asked.
\"Yes grandsire, I will, how could I miss the oppertunity to fight in the first battle?\" Lucius said.
The band of Angels left the Throne Room, but Oharas remained for a few moments.
\"Have you any wisdom to dispense, Lord?\" Oharas asked God.
\"Be careful, my child, they will come at you in force, for it is you they wish dead the most, there is no greater hatred in their hearts than their hatred for you, for you have been the one to kill those that were resurrected.\" He said.
Oharas bowed, and exited the chamber, joining his friends outside. The army that was to fight in the first battle was ready. Seventy-five legions, a great army by all means, and highly trained, consisting mainly of Lucifer\'s assassins and Oharas\' personally trained Zodanim. Bardiel stood close to the front, and was speaking to a young Angel. Oharas recognized her, she was the Angel of Melody, Uriel. She was a mere fifteen years of age, but as Oharas probed Bardiel\'s mind, he knew he was interested in her. He could not blame Bardiel, for Uriel was a beautiful girl, her dark brown hair fell to her waist, her eyes were a bright green, she was flat-chested by no means, and was more well endowed than many adult Angel women.
Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael joined Oharas in front of the army, and opened the Book of Blessings.
\"Nastariel faurnar firuel.\" Michael spoke.
\"Sig na, itu mitrenes.\" Raphael said.
\"Sarrunaa ima arel kinue.\" Gabriel sang.
The words they spoke were : \"The Lord commands that you, brave warriors, shall fight for Heaven.\"
\"Words of encouragement.\" Oharas whispered to Gabriel.
\"Words to protect our warriors, that prayer creates a temporary protective aegis around each that hears it, it may come in handy.\" Gabriel said softly.
\"Yes, it may.\" Oharas said to himself.
Gabriel smirked and said: \"Dismal as ever....\"
\"Can you blame me? I\'ve spent my life slaying these unholy beasts, only for them to pop up again and again, that can make you quite pessimistic.\" Oharas laughed.
Gabriel laughed loudly, and then faced the crowd of Angels. Oharas stood at the front, and met the eyes of many of Heaven\'s warriors, and saw a look of determination on each face.
\"Warriors! This day the war begins! You can afford no fear, and can give no mercy, for you shall receive none yourselves! Your foes are cunning, ruthless, and have no emotions, you must fight them as if you were fighting the Devil himself!\" Oharas yelled to the crowd.
It was Bardiel who made the gesture that set the mood for the crowd. He unsheathed his katana and held it high, yelling out:\"For the Blessed Realm!\"
The many legions of Angels saw this and held their blades high, screaming these simple words. Oharas was stunned, only a day ago Bardiel seemed unsure of himself, and now he was setting a standard for an enormous number of Celestials, how far he had come! Oharas probed his thoughts once again, and realized that it was the Angel standing beside him, Uriel, who made him feel brave enough to speak a word. How charming....... Oharas thought.
Oharas spread his twelve wings wide, and held his sword aloft, letting his Angelic energy flow into the blade. The katana suddenly began to lengthen, and became forked, though one side was thicker than the other. The blade began to turn blue, and the hilt lengthened greatly. Runes appeared on the blade, spelling the words: \"The blade of the Oharas\". Two wing-like shapes appeared on the tsuba of the blade, now wider and coiled together with blue metal. The head of a dragon appeared on the pommel, and the blade was fully transformed. The Angels near him saw this and were filled with a sense of courage, the great Perfect Sword in its transformed state was something that brought joy to all Angels, for this blade was a sign for all that were were things that no creature could destroy.
\"This day the war begins, this day we fight for everything we have obtained in this time of peace. Do not let the sacrifices of those during the Assault of Sin be in vain!\" Oharas said as he beat his wings swiftly, ascending into the heavenlies.
The legions of Angels followed, and Raphael smirked as he ascended next to John, and spoke the words :\"Your father sure has spirit.\"
John merely smiled, and took Exscelsiya by the hand, ascending higher and higher. The Angels then descended, breaking the heavenly barrier, and came out into the void of space. It had been many a year since Oharas had seen space, and he was reminded of its true beauty. His keen Angel eyes could see every planet, every solar system, and even the smallest meteorites within a hundred million miles, and he smiled as he stretched his mind down onto the planets he could see, and felt the presence of life. He could feel children being born, he could sense the familiar music-like ringing when a new creature was made, but most of all, he could sense the spirit of every creature cheering the Angels to victory, for no creature was blind to the sight of such a large force of Celestials.
\"We pray for you.\" he heard a woman say.
\"Please win........\" a child cried.
\"We have faith in you!\" he heard an entire planet call.
\"Do you hear their calls?\" Oharas asked John.
\"Yes, father, I can.\" he said as he closed his eyes and stretched his mind to these people.
Oharas did the same, as did Abbacus, Gabriel, Bardiel, Uriel, and many other Angels among them.
\"We will triumph!\" they called in unison.
The planet of Chiga was in sight, and the Angels beat their wings quickly, picking up speed as they came closer. The Citadel of Anariel was a small speck to their eyes, but it was easily distinguished. But as they neared the planet\'s atmosphere, a dark presence passed over them. Oharas sensed it first, and then spread the thought to the Angels near him, and the massive band of Angels stopped dead in their tracks. They kept perfectly still, and felt the presence pass over them yet again, and a few drew their swords. None but Oharas and Lucifer could see what this malevolent thing was. Thier keen eyes picked up the beating of a black wing, a long tail with curved spines whipping behind a bulky body. Oharas watched its shadow with great interest, and laughed as it began to descend toward him.
Oharas\' sword was still in its transformed state, and he held it out before him, and a great light burst forth from the blade, and the creature was revealed. The beast looked like a bear, though two, long horns were upon its head, and its fur was a dark black. In its long snout were teeth that could rival the edge of an Angel forged blade, its great black wings could engulf a dozen Angels, and the claws upon its hands could pierce through many Angels like a roasting spit. The Chaos Demon hissed in pain as the holy Light covered him.
\"Poor demon, he cannot take it.\" Lucifer said sarcastically.
Oharas transformed his blade back to its original state, and sheathed it. The creature looked at the Second God hatefully, and its eyes widened in horror as it saw Lucifer standing beside the legendary Zoda.
\"King Lucifer?!\" the demon spoke, \"You are alive? I was told you had been slain.\"
\"No, demon, I was not slain, imprisoned.......but not slain.\" Lucifer said.
The demon seemed confused, its eyes darted from Oharas, then to Lucifer, and then back to Oharas once again.
\"My king, why are you with them?\" the beast said, astonished.
\"These are my people, my kin.\" Lucifer replied, stunned that some had not yet been informed of his purification.
\"You cannot be serious!\" the demon shouted, its raspy voice piercing the ears of all the Angels that could hear.
Oharas leaned toward his elder brother and whispered: \"Should I take him, or should you?\"
\"You can take him.\" Lucifer answered quietly.
\"It matters not,\" the Chaos Demon said, \"it is Oharas that I am here for.\"
The beast bellowed a terrible roar, and then lunged toward Oharas at great speed. The creature came within a few inches of Oharas before it stopped. The Angels around Oharas had their blades unsheathed, ready to battle, but the Chaos Demon was still. Oharas swung his blade, and the creature\'s black blood flung itself off the perfect steel. The demons eyes glazed over, and thousands of cuts could be seen on its rough and hair-covered body. The beast fell to pieces before the great Second God, and he smiled contently as many of those around him stared in awe. Lucifer laughed and turned to the crowd and said: \"Does anyone have any doubts of our victory now?\"
All of the Angels were amazed, all but Johnifel. He had seen it before, all too many times. Oharas had once told him that the violence of being an Angel warrior would disgust him one day, and now Johnifel feared this was the day. The sight of the beast\'s blood seemed to affect him somehow, it had never done so before.
\"Are you alright?\" Exscelsiya asked, noticing the odd look on John\'s face.
\"Yes, I am fine.\" he replied.
John smiled at Exscelsiya, and brushed a wing against her cheek. Sariel, Lucifer\'s bride, watched them, and saw something in Johnifel that she had not seen before :fear. Johnifel feared this war, he did not want to kill again. His past had been soaked in much blood, he had killed humans and demons, and even Angels, rogue Angels though they were. Johnifel wore more than one blade, three, in fact, Perfect Swords made by Oharas. His blades, unlike Oharas\', each transformed into a different shape. The katana, which Johnifel always kept in its transformed state, became a double-edged blade with a black hilt, no tsuba, but a long, three and a half foot blade. Its blade, however, remained the same color of steel, but the sword had four other blades attached to its main blade, which made it more deadly than most weapons. The wakizashi, which he also kept in its transformed state, was much like the katana, except that it was a different color steel, a black shade of metal, and silver where the edge had been sharpened. The tanto, however, was different. Its metal turned a pale blue when it transformed into a long, curved blade with a long barb on the tip.
Johnifel carried the transformed katana and wakizashi at his side, and the tanto was strapped to his back, just like Oharas. Sariel then looked over to her daughter, Eloa, and noticed that she hung off the arm of another Angel, none other than Honaffiel. Honaffiel was a handsome Angel, his long blond hair was tied back in a ponytail, his eyes were bright blue, and seemed to shine. Eloa looked much like her mother, long black hair reaching her waist, dark brown eyes, and voluptuous features. Sariel pryed into her thoughts, and found strange emotions within her daughter, emotions directed at Honaffiel. Sariel smiled, and ran her left hand over the leather wrapped hilt of her broadsword, gripping it tight, hoping to gather courage from it. All were frightened, even the mighty Sariel. Lucifer embraced his bride, sensing her emotions. Oharas turned to them all, and simply said:\"Are we ready yet? We haven\'t any time to spare, we must reach the Citadel soon.\"
Johnifel chuckled slightly, and beat his wings, racing toward the planet of Chiga. Oharas and the others joined him quickly, and Oharas came neck and neck with him, racing him to the Citadel. The two great Zodanim beat their great wings as quickly as they could, passing and falling behind each other periodically. The blasted through the atmosphere, and the great Citadel came into perfect view within seconds. A twelve-leveled castle, monumental spires reaching many miles into the sky. Five golden pillars stood upon the domed top of the massive Citadel, and its marble surface seemed to glow in the bright light of the planet\'s sun. Oharas and Johnifel raced for the dome of the Citadel, and nearly clipped eachother on their landing. They hit the top of the great castle at the exact same moment, and they grinned at eachother, knowing neither could beat the other.
\"I\'ll beat you one day.\" Johnifel said, chuckling.
Oharas simply smiled, and jumped down to the garden below the dome, where many of the great army of Angels gathered. Some came together on the lower levels, but Oharas\' family crowded close to the Second God. Oharasu stepped close to his grandsire, and asked him :\"What should we do?\"
\"I want archers on the first three levels of the Citadel, swordsmen on the first level, and lancers awaiting my command on the fourth. Got that? I will give more instructions as needed.\"
\"Yes, my grandsire.\" Oharasu said.
Oharasu repeated his grandsire\'s orders to the massive crowd of Angels, and they each followed them perfectly. Oharas turned around and faced the cathedral at the top of the Citadel, and walked through the door leading into the cathedral\'s vaulted chambers. Kia and Ardousir followed him, while Rianna and Jessica remained outside, helping the other Celestials set up their positions. Oharas walked deep into the main chamber of the Citadel\'s cathedral, and saw the mark of the Zodanim upon many of the walls, and saw a book laid upon an altar, stained with blood.
\"What is this........?\" Oharas said.

*******************************************************

\"Get moving, you maggots!\" a demon yelled.
A great army of demons marched toward Hell\'s main gate, talking in their foul tongues, clanging their blades together, ready for the first battle. The demons Abigor and Azazel stood at the front with their master, Sin. The great Demon Lord sat proudly in the saddle of his great steed, a terrible black dragon, it\'s eyes a bright yellow, and its nostrils smoked from the fire within its gullet.
\"What an army.......\" Abigor said in amazement.
Azazel merely looked over a great troop of his legendary Se\'irim, his great Goat Demons. These creatures were not like goats, however. While they shared the facial features and had horns like goats, but they stood on two legs, with great, black wings on their backs. Azazel shared almost all of their traits, except one, upon his head was the six pointed star of Satan, with the words \"Death to the Angels\" written on the circle that was around the sigil. Abigor turned to Azazel and said:\"Nervous, goat boy?\"
Azazel snorted at Abigor, and put his hand on the hilt of the sword at his side, but Sin simply raised his hand and stopped the small tussle.
\"If either of you takes one step more, I will slay you both.\" Sin said, unsheathing his great zweihander.
Sin\'s great sword was made of black metal, and on the blade was inscribed \"The Darkness of Christ\", and the sword was well over five feet long. The two Archdemons backed away from eachother, but Abigor smirked slightly, and let out an almost silent laugh as Azazel snorted at him. Azazel faced away from Abigor, and directed his eyes toward a Demonnicous walking toward him. The Demoniccous were more powerful than any demon ever found in Hell, even the Archdemons could not contest with their cataclysmic power, and the only creature in Hell that could match the power of a Demoniccous was Sin himself, and his greatest leiutenant, Domaddadon.
\"Ready for the war, my warrior?\" Sin asked Domaddadon as he approached him.
\"Yes, and ready to battle Oharas once again........\" Domaddadon said in his raspy voice.
Azazel and the Demoniccous conversed in the distance, and it seemed they were comparing blades, constantly pointing and demonstrating with their swords. Domaddadon did not care, he only wished to find Oharas, and kill him. Domaddadon hated the legendary Second God, and wished to kill him.......and only him, and he knew he would have his chance soon enough........

*******************************************

Oharas moved toward the altar at the center of the room, and the book upon it drew his interest. Next to the altar was the skeleton of what looked like a man, but different somehow. Blood was stained on the altar, and on the book that lay upon it. Oharas brushed a great deal of dust from the ancient volume, and opened it, shocked to see that the book was written in the text of the Oharans. But even more shocking was that the words were written in demon blood, its scent still strong.
\"Oharas, what have you found?\" Sandalphon asked as he walked in the room with another Angel at his side, his black rapier on his belt.
\"Look at this.\" Oharas said, handing the old book to Sandalphon.
Sandalphon extended his hand, and took the leather-bound volume from Oharas. The Angel at his side, the Angel Quadiel, stared at the text on the pages as Sandalphon flipped through the old, dusty pages.
\"\'Tis a spellbook.\" Oharas said as Quadiel took the book from Sandalphon and read a few lines.
\"A spellbook? In this place?\" Sandalphon said, surprised.
\"Yes, you can read Oharan, can\'t you, Quadiel?\" Oharas asked the young Angel.
\"Oh, yes sir, I can. Why do you ask?\" Quadiel asked, puzzled.
\"Go to the first page, and recite lines seven to eleven.\" Oharas said.
Quadiel did as Oharas ordered, and began to repeat what he read.

\"Let the stone dials turn, and let the Angels call
Allow the catacombs to open, and the ancients halls fall
The Zodas chamber do we open, and light the fires of the Heavens
Turn, dial, turn, and open the gate to our Saviors.\"

Oharas turned, smirking, and the wall he faced suddenly opened before him, and he could hear a stone dial turning, pulling stone pillars away, unlocking the chamber behind it. A great tunnel seemed to open up, and great blocks of stone seemed to pull away as if by majick, and the candles that had remained unseen suddenly lit with a greater light than one would expect. As light filled the ancient chamber, large murals were revealed, depicting the Zodanim in all their glory, and their clan grounds, Zion.
\"What in Hell?\" Quadiel said as he saw the great murals of the eight-winged Zodanim.
Above the newly created tunnel was a mural of Oharas, blade drawn, impaling a demon upon his sword. Oharas smiled at the sight of this image, flattered at his heroic portrayal.
\"How would these people know of the Zodanim?\" Quadiel asked.
\"Quadiel, do you know who built this great Citadel?\" Oharas asked.
\"Ancient Angels, well, half Angels, Nephilim brought from Earth and placed on this world to live out their lives. Their descendants built this place and kept tabs on Heaven\'s activities, am I right?\" a voice said.
\"Yes, Zaion, you are correct.\" Oharas said to the Angel who seemed to appear from the shadows.
Sandalphon and Quadiel turned to see a tall Angel standing behind them, blonde hair hiding his eyes. A katana hung at his side, and a large broadsword was strapped to his back. The Angel called Zaion shook his head to the side, and his hair pulled away from his face, showing his blue eyes, and a small scar on his forehead. A necklace hung from his neck, an enneagram, a nine-pointed star hung from the leather strap around his neck. Zaion appraoched the new tunnel that opened up before Oharas, and looked over at the legendary Second God.
\"We don\'t have time to explore it. The demons are coming, I can sense their energies.\" Zaion said.
\"I know, I have sensed it for some time, are our soldiers ready?\" Oharas asked.
\"Yes, my lord.\" Zaion replied.
\"Good.\" Oharas said.
The small group of Angels walked out on to an overlook that showed the whole Citadel before them, and they saw just how massive the great building was. The Citadel was twelve-leveled, and at the bottom level there was a great open space, barred by a massive wooden gate, and surrounded by a great wall of granite twenty feet thick, perfect for an ambush for demons. Outside the massive Citadel there was an open field that stretched for miles unseen, and almost seemed barren. The Angel Metatron was perched on the eleventh level, sitting on a spire that reached close to the twelfth level of the great Citadel, staring out into the distance. His long silver hair blew in the gentle breeze, and his yellow eyes seemed to stare into nothingness. Sandalphon stared at his older brother, and then looked away, toward the other Angels preparing for the battle. Even though many legions of Celestials occupied this great place, not even half of the great Citadel was taken up. Oharas turned his blue eyes in the direction Sandalphon was looking, and saw Jessica and Rianna practicing with other Angels, using short swords and rapiers to help get the Angels ready for the coming horde.
\"Again! This time move your feet, and move around the blows.\" Rianna said as she trained with a young Angel of no more than twenty winters.
Honaffiel walked toward the small group of Angels, holding a spear with a long, razor sharp blade on the end of it, shining in the light.
\"Are you guys going to stand there all day?\" he asked jokingly.
Oharas laughed, and turned his head to face his fellow warrior.
\"Maybe.......who\'s going to stop us?\" he said.
Quadiel was polishing his short-bladed ninja-to on his shirt, and nearly cut himself as he ran his hand along the blade. He then turned his head to the open field in front of the Citadel, and a great quake passed over the massive fortress. Every Angel\'s head turned toward the field as another quake passed over, and the sky seemed to darken. Oharas drew his blade, he knew what was coming. Honaffiel readied his spear, and glared. Down on the first level of the Citadel, upon the fortress\' great wall, was Abbacus, standing tall and proud, a glass of wine in his hand, taken from the Citadel\'s wine cellars on the third level. He sipped the last of it, and threw the glass down to the ground below, and drew both of his barbed blades, baring his fangs toward the sky.
\"Here they come.....\" Oharas said as he bared his fangs and roared into the sky.
A symbol began to appear in the sky. Fire appeared in the heavens, and lines of flame linked together to form the six-pointed Devil Star, its dark energy shining down on the Angels. Oharas opened his wings wide, and began to shine his holy light toward the great star, and their energies were equal. Beasts of all shapes and sizes began to appear around the Devil Star, and floated slowly to the ground. It took only a few minutes for one hundred and fifty legions of demons to land in the empty field around the Citadel, and last of all, Sin flew from the center of the star on his great black dragon, and landed behind his forces.
Sin looked over his forces, dressed in his black armor, a broadsword at his left, and his zweihander at his right. Domaddadon stood beside him, and a tall Demoniccous was behind him, standing next to Azazel. Sin unsheathed his great blade, and Abigor appraoched him.
\"My lord, how many should we send out?\" Abigor asked.
\"Ten legions, that will be the first wave. Once a few minutes have passed, send in another twenty legions, and our Saurian riders.\" Sin said, smirking beneath his helm.
Abigor repeated the order to other demons, and they spread it around the forces of Hell.
\"Now my demons, for our Realm, for the death of the Heavenlies, attack! Show no mercy to these unworthy Celestials, destroy them all, leave none alive!\" Sin yelled to his forces.
The demons of Hell cheered in their foul tongues, and then charged at the Citadel of Anariel, and the Angels inside.
