Chapter Four
After Jon had brought me back up to my room, he resumed his spot outside my foor, and I in my room. I had tried to talk to Bert, but was mad at me, and refused. So I went to be instead.
When I woke in the morning, Jon wasn\'t there. But Dr. Weis was. He wanted to talk, I could tell. He had his notepade, recorder, and notes frim previous talks with him. I regreted waking up.
\"Ah, Good morning Tom!\" Dr. Weis said when he noticed I was awake.
\"Hello, Dr. Weis. Congratulations on your baby.\" I said.
\"Well thank you, Tom. How did you know?\" he asked me.
\"Jon told me. Where is he?\" I asked.
\"He\'ll be in later. He\'s only a night shift orderly for you. But how about we start our session?\" Dr. Weis asks.
\"No. I don\'t wanna talk to you.\" I say to him, shrinking back from him.
\"We don\'t have to talk about anything you don\'t feel comfortable taking about just yet. Just light conversation.\" Dr. Weis suggested.
\"Then how about we talk about you today? I don\'t wanna talk about me. Not with you anyway.\" I say.
\"Okay then. What do you wanna know about me?\" Dr. Weis asks me.
\"Everything.\" I reply.
\"Within reason.\" Dr. Weis replies back.
\"Fine. What\'s your full name?\" I asked.
\"Michael Benjamen Weis.\" he answered.
\"Michael. Wifes name?\" I inquried.
\"Valerie Weis. Why is that important?\" he asked me.
\"It\'s not. Baby, boy or girl, and name.\" I reply.
\"Little girl, Lilly-Rose Weis.\" he answered, with hesitance.
\"Little girl huh. What does she look like?\" I asked.
Bert was now standing behind Dr. Weis pacing. We both waited for Dr. Weis to answer.
\"She looks like an angel. She\'s got her Mama\'s raven black hair, curly at the ends, with startling blue eyes.\" He said with a proud smile.
Bert nodded, \'She sounds nice.\' he says to me.
\"Later.\" I say to him.
\"Later?\" Dr. Weis questioned.
\"Yeah, later. Is Jon gonna be in later, Michale. Can I call you Michael?\" I ask, some what snidely.
While that hadn\'t been EXACTLY what I had been refering too, it had worked as a cover up.
\"Oh! Yes, Jon will be in later. And No, I don\'t mind if you call me Michael.\" he answered.
\"Good.\" I merely reply.
\"Do you like Jon?\" Dr. Weis asks me.
\"Yeah. He seems like a decent enough man.\" I say, as I lean back onto my bed.
Dr. Weis nods, and made a quick note on his pad.
\"Well, I think our time for today is up. I am scheduled to meet back with you in about two days.\" He says, as he readies himself to leave.
I merely wave him off and stare up at the ceiling of my room. As soon as I hear the door to my room shut, and know for a surety that I am alone, to the exception of Bert. I turn to him, I know what\'s on his mind.
\"She\'s a baby Bert. Bit she will DEFINATELY make a beautiful woman once she\'s all grown up.\" I say.
Bert nods in agreement. \'That she will. Think we\'ll be out of this hell hole by that time?\' he asks me.
\"I plan to be out of here before too much longer. I have unfinished business to take care of in Chewelah.\" I say with a slight smirk.
Ber smiles. \'Lynne, Miranda, and Lauren?\' he inquires.
\"Oh yeah. The ones that got away, but that can\'t hide. And if their stupid boyfriends, or whatever they hell they are get in the way, I\'ll dispose of them too.\" I say sinisterly.
I lean back into my bed, and remember when I first met Lynne, and her stupid boyfriend, Randy. My eyes narrow as I remember his suspissions, and rudeness towards me.
It\'d been no different when I meet Lauren and Miranda. Their boyfriends had been the same way. Well, Laurens husband, and Miranda\'s boyrfriend.
Bert smiles. \'I know what you\'re thinking Tom. They\'ll get whats coming to them. I promise.\' He says.
I merely nod in ackowledgement of his statement, but remain silent, as my mind dwells on what he\'d just said, and what my thoughts were.
