Chapter A Promise Broken
It had been a little over a year since Cole and Nakura had met and Cole was now eighteen. It was the day of the Tragic ending of his village. Like usual Cole was a little upset. Yulsen had for some reason disapeared a few weeks ago and he hadn\'t been able to find him. Nekura was the only one he had left now.
When cole woke up he found himself in bed with Nekura. Nekura\'s arms wrapped loosly around him. Cole blushed and looked at the sleeping Nekura. He had not remembered going to sleep in bed he remembered falling to sleep on the chair by the fire.
\'But he does look so cute sleeping..\' Cole had woken up before Nekura plenty of times and had just sat on the chair watching him sleep. He looked so peaceful and happy in his dreams. Cole reached out and gently brushed bangs out of Nekura\'s face, which startled him into waking. \"Oh! I am sorry Nekura I didn\'t mean to wake you up..\"
Nekura mumbled slightly and sat up stretching. \"It is fine, I don\'t need sleep.\" Something about Nekura was off this morning but Cole couldn\'t place it. In fact it was sort of an uncomfortable feeling. Nekura looked at him and smiled slightly, but there was something in those eyes, something that shouldn\'t be there. He started to get a little nervous but calmed himself down.
Nekura kissed cole gently, well gently at first. He began to kiss Cole roughly and started to tug on the boys shirt. Cole tried to push Nekura away but he couldn\'t he was to weak to. Nekura forced his to int into Coles mouth. Cole bit down on it as hard as he could causing Nekura to yell and pull away. Nekura glared at Cole and then seemed to realise what he almost did and got up quickly. He put on his cloak and turned to him. \"I am going out for a little while, I will be back by sunset..\"
Cole sat there breathing heavily, watching as Nekura left. He sighed and rested back agianst the bed. He closed his eyes and soon fell to sleep.
Around sunset Cole woke up. Nekura hadn\'t gotten back and he was starting to worry. He got up slowly and went to the door. He opened it and what he saw frightened him more then anyg heg he had ever seen, exept for when his mother died. Yulsen was laying on the front porch dead. Blood all over the stone that was there and a sharp branch threw it\'s chest.
\"NO! YULSEN!\" Cole kneeled down and picked up the Foxin and craddled it to his chest and cried. Yulsen had been his only friend and now he was gone, and would never come back. He Picked up The foxin and got a shovel and dug a hole. He put Yulsen in is and covered it up. He then searched for some rocks and put them over the grave. \"I will miss you Yulsen..\"
Cole Knew that it had been Nekura that had killed him. Nekura had broken his promise. Cole glared and went off to find Nekura. He didn\'t know exactly what he was going to do but knew that he had to do something. He searched for hours for Nekura but didn\'t find him. Then he heard a scream and went towards where he heard it. A Mother was craddling her young child to her chest as Nekura laughed. He looked like he was going to do something. He took a step towards the two in front of him grinning evilly. \"Stupid human, you will all pay for what you have done to me. I will prove that when I destroy all those living in this world!\" He laughed andlifted his hand. Making a peice of sharpened wood rise off the ground.
Cole froze seeing what Nekura was doing. It was all to farmiliar. Nekura motioned forward and the wood headed streight for the two standing in it\'s path.
\"NO!\" Cole yelled and ran towards the two that were not far from him and pushed them out of the way. Nekura\'s heart stopped as he watched the spear that he had made peirce threw the stomach of the one he loved. Cole cried out in pain and fell to the ground on his knees, using one hand to stay up while the other touched his stomach. He looked up at Nekura and glared, tears streaming down his face. \"you..you lied to..to me N..nekura..\"
\"C..cole!\" Nekura took a step forward to go over to him, but was stopped in his place by something magic. He blinked and looked at Cole, The necklace that coles mother had given him was glowing. His body was turning a silverish color.
Cole whispered something under his breath that nekura didn\'t understand and soon a sharp pain went threw his body causing him to Yell in pain. Nekura\'s body fell to the ground, and what was standing where Nekura had been was a Silvershadow, that looked exactly like Nekura.
\"Y..you shall live here..f..for ever..t..till I com..come back.. I..If you changed..y..you can g..go back to..to s..start a..a new l..life.. i..if not y..you will n..never l..leave these w..woods, y..you will..k..know m..me because I..I will b..be wearing t..this pendant..b..but I..I will not r..remember y..you..n..not at first..s..so don\'t j..just s..scare m..me away b..because I..I don\'t know you..I..I love you N..nekura..........\" And with that last said Cole collapsed on the ground and died. His blood spilling on the forest floor. His body turned to a silver mist that covered the grounds of the woods to warn off any one who might dare to come in.
The Silvershadow cried out as cole died. Silver tears ran down his cheeks as he watched the body of his love dissapear into mist. The silver shadow turned towards the two standing there. \"Leave now! OR I will kill you!\" The silvershadow\'s voice echoed.
The two that had been watching fled as fast as they could to tell there village about what they had seen. They told them about everything they saw. And that a silvershadow now protected the forest of Eevaleen and no one would be able to get into it with out being attacked.
Nekura the silvershadow waited many years for his love to return. He remained in the same spot for fifty years before wondering into the forest, where he would wait another one hundred and fifty years for his love to return, but now he just waited. Sad and lonely and learning from the mistake he made. He had promised Cole something and had lied. In the end he had to pay most dearly for his mistake, and he would never be able to take it back. Even if Cole came back and Freed him....
