"What the fuck are you staring at?" Ace hissed at Alexis, pissing the guy off more than he already was. "Why don't you two just fuck off and let us be?"
"What in the hell is your problem?" Alexis snapped right back. "We're just trying to fucking figure out what is going on and you are being a complete tool asshole about it! Why don't you just shut your fucking mouth!"
Edan grabbed Ace's arm. "Ace don't. You couldn't kill him even if you tried." he looked back at Alexis. "He's already dead."
Gabriel stepped forwards towards them, angery playing over his face. "Don't say that! What gives you the right to make assumptions about us anyway?"
"You're honestly not worth our time anyway." Ace muttered. "Lets go Edan."
"Wait!" Gabriel stopped them. "Please wait..." he looked back at Alexis but from the look the twenty-two-year-old had on his face he was going to be of no help. "Listen, I'm sorry that we got off on the wrong foot here but you see...my name is Gabriel and we; Alexis, I, and a few of our friends, are actually looking for people like us. Like you."
Ace smirked. "What the fuck makes you think that we are like you?" he rolled his eyes. "Listen kid, I'm not in the mood to play this little game. So how about you go your way and we'll go ours. Pretend this whole little thing never happened alright?"
Edan looked up at Ace. "Ace maybe we should listen to them. They don't seem like they are bad."
"I don't give a shit if they are bad or not. They are just going to slow us down and I'm not to fond of tag-a-longs okay? You're bad enough as it is." he groaned as Edan pouted. "Fuck Edan no! Okay? We've got our own place to get to and I'm not bring those dipshits and their friends along with us."
"Where are you going?" Gabriel asked him. "Perhaps we are headed in the same direction."
Another laugh left Ace. "No where you would know." Edan pulled on his sleeve. "Edan! They're weaker than us anyway! You wanna have to protect their sorry ass's if we run into someone? Cause I don't!"
Alexis lost it then. "Listen, you asshole, we are just trying to be nice and you are being a complete dick! Why don't you just fucking hear us our before telling us to fuck off? And how the hell do you know we're weaker than you? For all we know you don't know how to do jack shit!"
"Fuck you!" Ace practically yelled and Alexis flew back against the wall, an invisible hand holding him up a good two feet off the floor. "Come on dick head! You're so strong get the fuck down!"
"Enough of that." came a voice from behind them and they all turned to see Elise standing there. "Honestly, you all act like children."
Alexis dropped back to his feet. "Kick this dude's ass Elise! Teach him a fucking lesson."
Elise rolled his eyes and crossed his arms. "Why don't you all go back to bed? I mean honestly, all you are doing is making it hard for the rest of us to sleep. Stop being babies and we can figure this all out in the morning."
"Come on Ace." Edan pulled his arm. "Lets just get some sleep and talk in the morning."
Edan managed to get Ace back into their room and Alexis, Gabriel, and Elise stood there. Gabriel turned and walked back down the hall to their room leaving Elise and Alexis alone in the hall. "Don't egg him on Alexis. He is stronger than us. I wouldn't be surprised if he could take Tran out."
That made Alexis's eyes widen. "Like what? Could actually live through that place that Tran takes people too?"
"Probably." Elise answered. "Or at least put up a hell of a good fight." he turned and began to walk away. "Just go back to bed."
Walking down the hall Elise entered his and Tran's room. The moment he closed the door he felt darkness surround him and he gasped as he was pulled back against Tran's chest. He didn't even need to look. He knew who it was. He knew this darkness. He always had and always would. It was ironic really. How the place that Tran killed countless people in was the one place that he felt completely safe in.
"That boy...Edan..." Tran whispered in Elise's ear as he wrapped his arms around the boy. "Him and Gabriel are exactly the same." he smirked and took in a deep breath. "You really think that Ace matches me?"
"I don't know. He seems strong." Elise answered, staring into the darkness. "What do you think of him."
Tran sighed. "I think that he is strong yes. However, I think that he is a little to confident in his abilities. I just think he needs to lose once and he'll be good."
Elise turned and looked up at Tran. "Are you going to help him with that Tran?" there was a small smirk on Elise's face. "Because if you don't want to then I would love to."
"No." Tran said and the darkness left them, revealing the hotel room. "We have a visitor." someone knocked at the door and Tran walked over. Opening it he came face to face with Christopher. "What is it?"
"He's here..." Christopher barely whispered. "Brian...he got to Brian and he wouldn't leave me alone." he looked behind him a second as if something was there. "Brian went to check on Gabriel and Alexis but...I don't know...he just...he told me he was going to hurt us...all of us."
Someone screamed down the hall. It was an ear piercing scream that could have woken the dead. They all ran out into the hallway and looked around. Alexis ran to the door that the scream was coming out of and looked over at the others. Tran stepped up to the door and they watched as his shadow slid under it. The door swung open and they ran inside.
Edan was sitting on the bed, screaming his head off as tears rolled down his face. Ace was sitting next to him, an arm around him protectively as his eyes shot around the room. Alexis stepped in front of Gabriel, as did Brian Christopher seeing what they saw. Tran winced a little hearing all those things and he felt Elise grab his arm tightly.
"Ace..." Edan sobbed and his body jerked in Ace's arms.
Ace closed his eyes and a surge of power pulsed from him, pushing the spirits a few feet away, though they did not relent. "Fuckers." he hissed, looking up at him.
Tran looked around the room and then pulled Elise in front of him. "Keep them warm Elise." he said and the boy nodded before the room was wrapped in darkness. "Elise keep them warm!"
Elise closed his eyes and let his body heat up, channeling it to the others in the room. "Just yell if you get to cold!"
"Where are we?" Ace snapped. "What the fuck is this place?"
"Hush." Edan whispered to him. "This place is sacred."
The darkness slipped away and they all looked around. They weren't in the hotel anymore. They were in the middle of what looked to be a park. Ace looked around before his eyes fell on Tran.
"You son of a bitch!" he yelled at him. "What the fuck Transient!" he stood and ran a hand through his blue hair. "Jesus christ I told you never to fuckin' do that again you ass!"
A smirk came to Tran's face. "You will never change will you Ace?"
Ace laughed. "Fuck no." he looked around. "Alright, what the fuck is going on? Something big has gotta be happening if you of all people are involved."
"We're running from the government." Tran told him. "And we were sent to find the rest of us by Carol Brown."
"Carol's dead." Ace argued, not even realizing who he was talking in front of. "Why would she want all of us to get together anyway?"
Christopher stepped in there. "We don't know why. She just wants us to. I think it's really important."
Edan was still trembling a little, hidden behind Ace partially. "Carol would have a reason behind wanting us all together." he muttered softly. "After all, she is the reason that our-"
"Hush." Ace hissed at him and looked back at Tran. "So what the fuck are we supposed to do Tran? Follow you like good little puppies until we come to the end of the fuckin' world? I've been there and done that thanks."
"Leave the past out of this Ace." Tran warned him. "I think you of all people would be able to put differences aside." Ace looked away from him. "Don't fuckin' forget who you owe a favor to."
Ace glared at him. "You know what fuck you Transient! A favor is completely different from what you are fucking asking of me right now. I'm not gonna fuckin' follow that dead bitch!"
Tran glanced at Christopher and saw anger rising in his eyes. "Perhaps you would follow her son then?" Tran nodded towards Christopher. "After all he is the one who found the rest of us."
"Never thought you to be one to follow." Ace muttered and then looked at Christopher. "So, you're little Christopher Brown huh?" he smirked. "Well you can go fuck yourself you little pansy cause I'm not gonna be a dumb shit and follow a Brown." he looked up at Tran. "I've learned from other's mistakes."
"Fillin!" Tran snapped as Ace turned to leave and the guy froze. "What's wrong huh Fillin? You know if it weren't for Carol your sorry ass would be dead!" Tran was pissed. Pissed to the point were the shadows around all of them were swaying in some invisible wind. "She's the one who fuckin' saved us you ass! So don't you dare fuckin' walk away when she asks for your help."
Ace's fists clenched and he turned on Tran, eyes completely blue, as if the sky was showing through them. "If Carol wants my fucking help then she can fucking come down and get it from me!" he yelled. "You see this Tran?" he pulled up the sleeve of his shirt to reveal a marking on his forearm, a marking none of them knew. "Fuckin' memories I don't want to relive! So for fucking give me if I'm not willing to just bow down and follow! You, Transient, of all people should know why I don't fucking want to do this!" he turned on Brian. "Fucking try and read my mind one more time I'll slit your throat you little psycho!"
Edan stood there in fear as Ace turned and began to walk away. "Ace!" he yelled and Ace looked back at him. "I...I want to go with them..."
"Then fuckin' go with them Edan." Ace hissed. "You're not my fuckin' problem anymore."
"How do you know him?" Elise asked as Ace walked away. "I believe there is something very important that you aren't telling us Tran."
Tran stood there in silence a moment before turning to walk away. "Come on. It's not safe here anymore."
"Tran." Elise said and Tran stopped walking. "You better tell us what's going on here."
He sighed and looked up at the black night sky. "Lets find somewhere safe to stay for the night. It's a long story and I'm not going to get into it in the middle of a park."
With that they all followed Tran out of the park. Elise dropped back by Edan, who had just been standing there, starting at the place where Ace had disappeared to.
"He'll come back." Elise reasured him, glancing at Tran as he said that. "They always do."
Edan smiled softly. "I'd thought I'd known him so well..." he hugged himself. "I guess I really don't know anything about him."
