Chapter 37

TOKYO BOYS
Chapter 37

Yuuto felt his body’s temperature dropping sharply when he saw Yoshimura standing a few feet away. He was smoking at the corner of the street and unfortunately it seemed he had spotted Daisuke. He waved at them and stepped closer.

‘Stay away… stay away…’
Yuuto whispered, feeling his body beginning to shiver involuntarily. As Yoshimura walked closer and he could see his face clearer under the bright street lamp, the trembling became stronger and he could hardly stand.

‘It’s your fault for teasing us’
he could hear the young man’s contemptuous voice.

‘Don’t come any closer… don’t…’
The boy trembled with fear.

He attempted to grab Daisuke, but without a warning he felt a warm wetness spreading quickly in his pants. His breathing became more fragmented and it took an effort to reach out and grab onto Daisuke’s sleeve.

“Let’s go back…” he whispered in a shaky voice.

“Wait, I just want to say hi, it’s been ages…” Daisuke said in a cheerful tone, completely oblivious to the urgency and distress in his friend’s voice.

“I…” Yuuto had to swallow the humiliation. “I peed my pants…”

“What? You’re joking, right?” Daisuke turned his head slightly. “What are you, a little kid?”

“Yo~ Daiichin, cute Yuu-chan…” Yoshimura reached them. “I’ve been hoping to see you again…” he smiled, winking at the shorter boy.

Yuuto shut his eyes tight and fled. He just sprinted away without looking back, running as fast as he could. Daisuke was so flabbergasted he only had time to call after him once before the boy disappeared in the mass of people. He was about to try and follow him, when Yoshimura spoke again.

“My, my… and I was hoping he’ll come to visit again… we had a good time.” Yoshimura took a whiff and blew smoke.

“What?” Daisuke turned back to face him. “What do you mean?”

“Ah, he didn’t tell you?” Yoshimura chuckled. “We played together, not so long ago.. He practically begged us to deflower him.”

“What…” Daisuke slowly tried to digest Yoshimura’s words.

“He’s a pretty good lay… I can’t believe you haven’t touched him…” Yoshimura smirked.

Before he could say anything more, Daisuke kicked him hard in his midsection and he fell back to the floor, groaning.

“You fucking bastard, what did you do to Yuu-chan?!” Daisuke grabbed Yoshimura’s lapels, forcing him off the ground and shook him. “What did you do??!”

Yoshimura grinned without bothering to shrug the teen off him. “He came to us… We decided he could pay your debts... Tachibana told you we had to pay the boss a lot of money because of you…” he wheezed. “And everyone wanted to do him…”

“Everyone…?” Daisuke widened his eyes, his grip on Yoshimura’s coat loosened. He felt sick to his stomach. “You all… did him?”

Yoshimura chuckled. “Are you jealous?”

Daisuke hissed and slammed his fist into the grinning youth’s face. Yoshimura cried in pain and covered his nose, trying to stop the bleeding. “Bastard, you broke my nose…”

“I’m going to kill you…” Daisuke got up and kicked him again, sending him flying to the ground once more. He didn’t care for the crowd around them that stopped walking and watched on.

“I’ll kill all of you…” Daisuke gritted his teeth and continued kicking Yoshimura, not allowing him a moment to get up.

Finally someone tried stopping him and grabbed him. Daisuke struggled to break free.

“Let me go, bastard! It has nothing to do you with you!” he screamed and kicked in the air, hitting the man with his elbow until finally the stranger let go of him and he stumbled to the ground.

Some people were already attending Yoshimura, yelling to call the cops. Daisuke gave the crowd one more look and dashed away.

He kicked the den’s door open with ease and glared at the people inside. Almost everyone he knew was there, sitting on the floor against the dirty couches, smoking and laughing. They stopped to stare at Daisuke. Tachibana walked out of the bathroom in his bathrobe, rubbing his hands together to get warm.

“Dai-kun, what a surprise to—“

Before he could finish, Daisuke covered the distance between them and punched him straight in the face. Tachibana fell down like a rock.

“I thought you were my friends!” Daisuke yelled at him. “How could you do that?!”

“What are you doing, Daisuke?” Tachibana looked up at him, rubbing his mouth where the boy cut open his lip. “Shit, I’m bleeding.”

Shima got up to try and stop Daisuke from punching Tachibana again, but Daisuke backhanded him with his elbow and he hit the wall and fell. Daisuke then kicked him in the face and he cried out, writhing on the floor in pain.

“I’m going to kill all of you! You hear me you fucking fags!!” Daisuke turned around and screeched at the others. “I’ll make you pay for what you did to Yuu-chan!”

“What are you talking about? Calm down, little shit…” Mizaki, the one Daisuke never heard speaking before, spat at him.

“Yuu-chan?” Tachibana perked his head. “You mean your cute friend?”

Daisuke shot him a hateful glare, panting, “The one you took turns on, you fuckin’ bastards…”

“What?” Tachibana was confused.

“Well, whatever… you can’t come here and start beating the shit out of everyone…” Nakagawa said.

Daisuke didn’t mind him and charged head on at Satou, who was the first in his way. Satou managed to evade Daisuke’s first punch and attempted to catch Daisuke’s arm, but the boy took that chance and flipped him over, sending out his foot to kick him hard in the ribs. The others tried to catch Daisuke and he tossed them at each other.

“Daisuke, stop!!” Tachibana called out, grabbing the teen’s attention briefly.

It was enough for the others to make another attempt to subdue him. Tanaka, the lanky guitarist, grabbed Daisuke under his armpits, blocking his arms.

“Fuck, let go of me…” Daisuke struggled and tried to remember moves from his martial arts past, but Nakagawa already took the chance to punch him.

“Fuck, it hurts…” The man rubbed his knuckles.

Daisuke spat blood, but continued to struggle to get free. Satou and Mizaki both kicked him, until his legs gave in and Tanaka let go of him, dropping him to the floor.

“Stop it guys, stop!” Tachibana staggered over to stop them from kicking the barely conscious teen.

“He deserves it… look what he did to Shima!”

Shima groaned in the corner of the room. He was only starting to come to.

“Fuck you…” Daisuke said and coughed. His mouth was filled with blood. “Don’t touch me!” He pushed Tachibana’s hand and tried to sit up.

“You betrayed me…” he hissed and wiped the blood from his lips.

“What are you talking about?” Tachibana asked. “What was it about your friend?”

“Don’t pretend to be ignorant… Yoshimura that bastard told me everything… you forced yourself on him… all of you!!”

“What…” Tachibana looked disgusted and then raised his eyes to his friends. “What is he talking about guys?”

“Ah… is that the cute one Taka brought… it was last month or so… I don’t remember much…” Nakagawa hummed. “We were all stoned… But he was all into it, playing hard to get… but he came… sure came.”

Daisuke slammed his fist into the floor, frustrated. He wanted to vomit. His body was shaking with pain and anger. He wanted to kill all of them even if it meant spending the rest of his life in jail.

Tachibana got up and stared at his friends. “You raped someone? A high school student?”

Satou shrugged. “He looked like any other cute twinkie… we didn’t ask for I.D…”

“What’s the matter with you?!” Tachibana grabbed his shirt. “How could you do such a thing?!”

“Don’t be so pretentious… if you were with us I bet you’d take a turn too…”

Tachibana glared at him. “I could punch you…”

“It was Hasabe’s payment.” One of them remembered. “That’s what Yoshimura said.”

“Yeah, his payment to the boss.”

It was his fault.
Daisuke was still on the floor, feeling powerless, like his gut was torn open. Everything made sense now. Yuuto’s weird behavior, missing school, mysterious illness, sudden love confession. How could he have been so blind?

He got up and looked at the young men he used to consider as friends, feeling disgusted with himself.

“Dai-kun, I’m so sorry… if I were here, I’d stop them…” Tachibana said quietly.

Daisuke just looked at him with disdain and left the den tacitly, holding his side. He staggered out to the street, heading to the train station. His vision was blurry but he could still see everyone was staring at him.

He paid no mind and only when he arrived at his destination and secured his school bag across his shoulder, he realized the white sling bag and his coat were splattered with blood, as was his face.

He took out his handkerchief from his pocket and cleaned the blood that dripped on his eyes, ignoring the people in the station who were staring at him. With a sealed face he made it back to Moriyama-sensei’s apartment.
