Callaway's Go to London
Chapter: Thirty-Seven: Callaway’s Go to England...
On yet another Saturday afternoon, the Callaway family were rounded in the living room, a tense silence surrounding them since everyone arrived not even five minutes ago.
Isabelle and Jordan stood side by side looking quietly at each of their kids and their partners. Dayne and Fate were sitting side by side on the long leather corner group sofa sitting to Fate’s left was Leila and Marc with Melis asleep in her father’s arms. Then there was Jaiden, sitting in the love seat across from the sofa his siblings were occupying. Dayne and Jaiden were glaring at each other every time their eyes met. Dayne’s blue eyes burned with anger and sorrow every time his eyes met his brothers who in return looked guilty and had been for weeks now.
Isabelle looked up at her husband who turned his head and looked into her eyes for a long moment as though they were having a silent conversation between them, until Jordan nodded and Isabelle turned her attention to their kids.
“Alright kids, I gather we all know what this meeting is about...”Isabelle began glancing around the room, five pairs of eyes watching her as she spoke. “These past few months this family has been through quite a difficult time. Now, I’m sure neither one of us are happy with the situation we are all in at this moment of time. Your father and I most definitely are not.” She said exchanging looks with her husband once again.
Jordan cleared his throat before speaking, “Your mother and I have been talking things through and we both mutually decided that it would be best if we call this meeting and discuss aloud our problems and concerns.” He finished catching Jaiden’s eye.
“Now remember, we are not here to argue or fight so keep your anger at bay and your fists by your sides at all times, understood?” Jordan asked both his sons. Both boys nodded glancing at each other quickly before looking away again.
“Good, now first of all, let’s talk about this whole Jaiden and Eyvah issue, shall we?” all heads bopped up and down nodding in agreement.
Isabelle took over from her husband. “Okay, we’ll start with Dayne and Jaiden. Dayne I’m sure you have questions you would like to ask, but first I think we should give Jaiden a chance to explain.” Isabelle said her blue eyes meeting her youngest sons equally blue ones.
Jaiden licked his dry lips and leaned forward ready to explain. He cleared his throat before speaking. “Thanks mom.” he said, Isabelle nodded her head slowly. “Um, first off I want to apologise to all of you. I know my reckless and selfish behaviour caused all of you--especially you mom-- grief and stress and I swear I never intended on it going down the way it did.” He said averting his eyes from his mother to his older brother.
“Dayne,” he said and sighed heavily. “I can’t apologise enough to you it was never my intention to go after Eyvah, you have believe that. I just...” he trailed off his eyes met Fates and she blinked in response. “I tried so hard not to act upon my feeling for Eyvah but it was impossible. The attraction was there from day one, I wanted to ask her out but I couldn’t bring myself to because I knew you-” again he stopped and looked at Fate wondering if he would hurt her by finishing off the
sentence. “-had a thing for her.” He mumbled meeting his brother’s gaze once more.
Dayne narrowed his eyes at his younger brother and shook his head. “Jaiden what hurt me wasn’t the fact that you pursued Eyvah, what hurt me was that you couldn’t trust me enough...as your brother to tell me and be honest about your attraction or even feelings for her.” he said his deep blue eyes holding his baby brothers equally blue ones. “You’re not only my brother but my best friend too, if you told me about your feelings before you betrayed me I would have backed off, because as much as I liked Eyvah I didn’t love her.” he explained.
Jaiden dropped his eyes in shame. “I know, I guess I wasn’t thinking straight. I really am sorry and I hope you can one day find it your heart to forgive me?” he said almost pleadingly.
Fate looked between the two brothers and gently squeezed her boyfriends hand comfortingly. If anyone knew how cut up he was about Jaiden’s betrayal and their falling out it was her. Dayne licked his lips and looked at his girlfriend sitting beside him. They shared a meaningful look and Dayne nodded turning his attention back to his brother.
Jaiden watched wide eyed as Dayne unclasped his hand from his girlfriends and slowly stood up. He stood tall in front of his brother and held out his hand to him. Jaiden swallowed thickly and lifted his own clammy hand and took a hold of his brother’s hand firmly.
Dayne yanked the younger boy up to his feet hands still tightly clasped. “I’ll forgive you on one condition.” Dayne told him. Jaiden nodded silently urging him to continue. “You never...and I mean never lie to me about anything again. If I find you do, I will do far worse than punch you a few times.” he warned sternly.
Jaiden nodded but smirked. “Gotcha,” he said and smirked after. “You punch like a girl anyway.” Jaiden teased.
Dayne’s brows rose to his hairline, “Really, ‘cause as I recall, you were bleeding all over the carpet lil bro.” Dayne said smugly.
Jaiden chuckled. “Yeah well you caught me in a sensitive area.” Dayne’s head bopped up and down showing his amusement.
“I’d be more than happy to prove you wrong bro, but I wouldn’t want to be the one responsible for messing up your ugly face even more.” Jaiden scowled as the rest cackled around them.
“Aww, Dayne, envy really isn’t a good colour on you bro.” he said touching his face with a grin. “We all know you’ve always been jealous of my dashing good looks, but hey you can’t have it all right?” he sighed exaggeratedly.
Dayne laughed amused. “You keep telling yourself that, maybe one day you might actually start believing it.” Jaiden shrugged in response.
The brothers shared a look smiles on their faces. “We’re gonna have to hug now aren’t we?” Jaiden asked his face twisted a little.
Dayne grinned. “’fraid so.” He said and pulled his brother in for a one armed hug.
“Dick.” Jaiden mumbled quietly into his brother’s ear.
“Pussy.” Dayne responded.
“Boys....” Isabelle scolded them after overhearing their language. The boys chuckled and pulled apart smiling sheepishly at
their mother who shook her head with ‘The Brow’ raised.
“Sorry Mom.” they apologised and stepped apart again to take their seats.
Isabelle smiled despite herself a bubble of joy rose in her chest. Her boys were talking and teasing one another again like they used to before all the drama that ensued between them.
“Well seen as that is over and done with, let’s move on to the next subject. That of course being Jaiden and Eyvah’s marriage.”Jordan said looking at his youngest son.
Jaiden cleared his throat and shifted in his seat. “Yeah, um, I’m sorry about that also. I know what you guys must think but I know Eyvah isn’t after my money. She isn’t a gold digger, she loves me and I love her.” he explained solemnly.
Jordan sighed rubbing his neck, “That’s all good and well Jaiden but, are you absolutely certain about that.” He asked his son.
Jaiden shrugged, “For now, I feel I can trust her.” he said lacing his fingers together. “But if it helps put all your minds at ease, I’ll keep a close eye on her and be very cautious until I figure out Eyvah’s intentions . . . if she has any that is.” He assured his family.
Jordan and Isabelle exchanged looks from where they were standing side by side. Isabelle turned her attention back to her son and opened her mouth to say something when a ringing of a phone interrupted her.
Marc cursed inwardly and shifted to get his cell from his pocket. “Sorry.” He apologised to his fiancée’s family who were all looking at him. Upon seeing the caller I.D his brows furrowed. “Uh, I’m sorry but I have to take this, excuse me.” He mumbled, gently handing his daughter back to Leila who in return regarded her husband-to-be with curiosity.
Isabelle shook her head and decided to continue. “Anyway, I’m glad we figured all that out. Now, is there anything anyone else would like to add? Anything to share with the family, a concern or problem...?” Isabelle asked looking at her kids.
Leila was chewing on her bottom lips as though she was contemplating something. Isabelle noticed this and decided to call her up on it. “Leila...?”
Leila’s head shot up her eyes locking with her mother’s identical blue ones. “Um, I might have something. Marc and I have had
something we wanted to share with the rest of you for a while now.” She said slowly.
Isabelle and Jordan exchanged looks once again. Jordan cleared his throat after pulling his eyes away from his wife, “You’re not pregnant again . . . are you?” he asked cagily.
Leila’s eyes widened and before she could answer Marc walked in a smile on his face. “Hey, um, I have some fantastic news.” He said his violet eyes falling on Dayne and Fate. “Dayne, remember that friend of mine that works for the CIA?” Dayne nodded sitting a little straighter. “Well, that was him on the phone.” He said grinning. Dayne and Fate continued looking at him expectantly, waiting for him to continue. “He’s found your son.”
“Are you serious?” Dayne asked jumping up to his feet like a lightning bolt was shot at his ass. Fate gasped her hand covering
her mouth, she was unable to move, even blink. She sat still terribly afraid that it was all a dream and it would come
crashing down if she even so much as flinched.
“Yes, I’m serious.” Marc confirmed. Isabelle and Jordan listened to Marc speak with smiles on their faces.
“Where is he?” Fate asked slowly coming out of her shock. Dayne pulled her up to her feet to stand beside him. However he frowned when he realised she was shaking all over, his blue eyes met her tear filled brown ones and his heart melted into a puddle. “How is he, is he okay?” she asked in a flurry, tears escaping from her eyes.
Marc smiled, “I’m sure he’s fine.” He said assuring the young girl. “My friend informed me that your son is currently living in England. He’s been living with a couple named Allison and Jack Collins ever since he was taken from you. Here’s the address.” He said holding out a piece of paper with his hand writing carelessly scribbled on it.
Dayne took the paper and read it before handing it to his father. “Is your friend one hundred percent sure it’s him?” Jordan asked Marc.
Marc nodded, “Yes, he had a contact of his in England look into the matter. They even went as far as to search the adoption agency Fate’s parents assigned the baby too.” Marc explained casting a look at Fate who was frowning.
“Adoption agency?” she asked. “Hang on a second, doesn’t the mother of the baby have to sign some paperwork agreeing to have her child adopted?” she asked tears drowning her eyes again.
Marc’s eyes lost the glint it had in them a few seconds ago. “Not if the mother was said to abandon the baby after birth, leaving him in the care of his grandparents.” He explained.
Fate’s eyes widened. “No, I didn’t...I didn’t...Dayne I didn’t!” she cried shaking her head almost violently.
Dayne took a hold of a hysterical Fate to calm her. “Shh, baby, I know. It’s okay I know you didn’t abandon our baby.” He said in an attempt to calm her.
“NO! You don’t understand! If that’s what my parents told the agency then I have no chance of getting him back EVER! I can’t prove that I never left, I can’t prove that he was taken from me, what am I gonna do?” She said sharply breaking from Dayne’s hold and pacing frantically.
Dayne tried to hold Fate again but she shook her head covering her face. “Baby, please calm down. We will find a way, there’s always a way around the system, a loophole somewhere.” He told her soothingly. “We’re getting our son back one way or another.
I won’t let this go, I promise.” Fate looked into her boyfriends eyes nodding slowly.
“Dayne’s right, Fate, I’m going to do everything I can to get my grandson back, you can count on that.” Jordan offered with a sincere smile.
“Thank you.” Fate said sniffling.
“You’re family now Fate, the mother of my only grandson. No thanks needed.” He said and winked.
Isabelle grinned shaking her head when she noticed Fate blush at her husband’s words. Always the charmer, even if it was involuntary.
“So what happens now?” Jaiden asked stuffing his hands into the back pockets of his jeans.
Jordan looked at his wife and arched a brow. “Looks like, we’re going to London.”
Isabelle looked up at her husband when his arm wrapped around her waist from behind. “What about work, honey? You have that new deposition to finish. You’ve been working so hard to get that new contract can you take off right now?” she asked quizzically.
Jordan tightened his hold around her waist before whispering in her ear. “Exactly, I’ve been working myself stupid these past few months. I think a little time off will do me some good.”
“What about work though who will look after the company while you’re away?” Isabelle questioned again.
“Honey, I think you’re forgetting I do have other employee’s one very big pain in the ass employee who is currently wed to my sister.” He said teasingly.
Isabelle grinned. “Josh, huh, well he will certainly be pleased.” Jordan laughed. “Think he can handle it?”
“Yeah, he’s more than capable.” He nodded placing a gentle kiss on her shoulder.
“Well, in that case I better go get us packed.” Isabelle said pulling out of her husband’s hold.
Jordan grinned roguishly and followed Isabelle as she walked out of the living room. “Yeah I’ll help.” He mumbled almost smacking into his wife when she stopped suddenly and spun around to look at him.
“Oh no, you don’t,” She said her brows rose as she poked at his chest. Jordan frowned in response giving her an indigenous look. “It’s a mission trying to pack with you in the room and you know it, Jordan.”
“I’ll be good, I promise.” He said flashing a sexy smile. Isabelle caved and with a roll of her eyes she strutted off up the stairs with Jordan following her closely behind.
Minutes after Isabelle pulled out a suitcase and was folding clothes and placing them in the suitcase only for Jordan to throw them out again informing her it wasn’t slutty enough for him. She huffed annoyed. “Jordan Callaway, if you want to keep your jewels I suggest you keeping your fingers out of my suitcase.” She warned glaring at him.
Jordan noticed a black see through lingerie on the bed and lifted it to examine this. “Where did this come from, and more importantly why haven’t I had the delight of tearing it off you yet?”
Isabelle leaned forward and snatched the garment from out of his fingers. “I believe you just answered your own question honey.
I happen to really like this and I don’t want you to tear it off me.”
Jordan scowled, “But tearing is fun. I like tearing.” He whined like a child. His sexy lips curved into a smile as he wormed his way towards her.
“Jordan you have torn every single pair of lingerie I bought up till now.” She said discreetly folding the garment and tucking it into the suitcase.
Jordan was too busy smirking, his hazel eyes playful as he looked up at his wife. “I don’t remember you complaining at the time.” He said tugging on the hem of her tank top.
Isabelle shook her head keeping the smile pulling at her lips. “That’s not the point. Do you have any idea how much I’ve spent on lingerie alone this past month?” she said placing her small hands on her waist.
Jordan shrugged, “Yes, I get the credit card bill sweetheart.” He said his fingers slowly dancing up her top drawing delicate circles on the sensitive flesh of her stomach with his thumb. “It’s not like we can’t afford it,” he informed her coolly.
Isabelle sighed. “Once again, not the point, I never get to wear any of them twice.” Jordan grinned cheekily and swiftly wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her into his lap.
Isabelle gasped surprised when she fell into her husband’s arm. She quivered visibly when his silky lips brushed against the shell of her left ear as he spoke in a husky tone. “That’s because I don’t want to see the same outfit again. I like being surprised, besides that’s the whole point of slutty lingerie they kind of lose their appeal after I’ve seen them on you more than once.” He explained nipping at her earlobe.3 “Except that little red number,” He stopped and shuddered, images of Isabelle in the sultriest piece of bedroom wear flashed in his mind. “Mm, now that...I will never get tired of seeing you in.” He said with a moan while taking his lovers small hand and placing it at his crotch. “Now look what you’ve done.” he added pressing his hardness further into the palm of her hand.
Isabelle smiled brushing her fingers teasingly along the front of his pants feeling his throbbing erection through the fabric of his dark blue denim jeans. “I think you would find it was your dirty little mind that did that to you Mr. Callaway.”
Jordan chuckled, a sexy rumble emitting from deep in his throat. “Well, Mrs. Callaway why don’t you do something about it?” he suggested with a wink.
“Like what?” she asked her lips a breath away from his. Jordan’s eyes were closed and he resisted the urge shiver when he felt her hot breath against his lips. “Like this maybe?” she said brushing her lips over his sensually.
After a moment Isabelle pulled back ending the kiss. “We really need to pack if we’re going to leave tonight?” Jordan attacked her neck with kisses and nips at her sensitive flesh.
“Forget that, right now I want you...bad.” he mumbled tightening his hold on her waist with arm while the other swiped the suitcase off the bed before he pressed his wife into the comforts of their mattress covering his small frame with her own larger one.
“Jordan the kids...” Isabelle said breathily.
Jordan licked up her throat grinning when he felt her shiver beneath him. “We’ll be quiet. You shouldn’t be allowed to be this hot Belle even at this age you have the clout to drive me crazy with want.” He said huskily.
Isabelle mewed in response pulling her husband down for a hot blooded kiss.

“You’re going to where?!” Eyvah barked down the phone causing Jaiden to pull the device away from his almost shattered eardrums.
“England.” He said pinching the bridge of his nose tiredly. “Look I can’t explain it to you right now but I’ll be back in a few days and we can talk then okay?”
Eyvah scowled deeply, “No, it’s not okay! I haven’t seen you in almost two weeks Jaiden.”
Jaiden sighed, “I know baby, I’ve been trying to reconcile with my family you know that. Dayne and I are just about talking to each other again. I needed this time for us to sort through our problems and its working.”
“That’s great Jaiden it really is, but what about us? It’s not bad enough your family is keeping us apart for weeks on end but they’re taking you halfway across the world now!” she grumbled hotly.
“They’re not taking me anywhere I want to go.” He pressed on.
“Why, why can’t you just stay here?” she asked stubbornly.
“Dayne needs me right now Eyvah, please be a little understanding. After everything we’ve done to him I owe him that much.”
“Jaiden this is ridiculous, why do we have to walk on eggshells! We’ve already apologised a million times. What more does he want?” Eyvah spat angrily.
Jaiden was slowly losing his cool. “It’s not as simple as that Eyvah! I broke my brother’s trust. I betrayed him in the worst way possible of course it’s going to take more than a few words for him to forgive me.” He tried to reason with her. “And I’m going to do everything I can to make sure he damn well does.”
Eyvah rolled her eyes. “What about me Jaiden, I’m your wife, I need you too. Have you maybe thought about that?”
“Eyvah you don’t know what’s going on here okay? You don’t need me half as much as Dayne does right now.”
“Oh sure go ahead and put him before me again.”
Jaiden growled in annoyance. “He’s my brother!”
“And I’m your wife!” she snapped in the same manner.
“You know what Ev I can’t do this with you right now I have to pack. I’ll call you later.” He said and slapped his phone shut angrily. Cursing inwardly he jumped startled when he heard a small voice behind him.
“Trouble in paradise...?” Fate asked leaning against the living room door.
Jaiden looked back and shrugged his annoyance showing on his face. “Just a minor disagreement,” He mumbled flopping down on the couch. “How’re you and Dayne keeping?” he asked regarding his brothers girlfriend curiously.
Fate sighed, “We’re a little anxious. I’m not exactly sure what to expect when we actually get there. I’m trying to think positive but deep down I still have a little doubt.” She admitted.
Jaiden nodded slowly, “Well that’s expected. But don’t worry we will get my nephew back one or another.” He said with an attentive smile.
Fate nodded. “Thanks,” she said returning his smile. “You know you don’t have to come with us if it’s going to cause trouble for you and your wife.” Fate said straightening. “I’m sure Dayne wouldn’t mind.”
“It doesn’t matter. I’ve let him down enough lately . . . I’ve let down all my family actually. I want to be there for him, whether he wants me there or not. I screwed up big time and it’s about time I manned up and took responsibility for my actions rather than blaming everybody else and looking for a way out.”
Fate nodded, “Those are wise words.”
Jaiden smiled a little, “I know, I think I’m slowly coming back into myself again. These past few months I felt kinda lost.” He said a saddened expression clouding his eyes.
Fate sighed and came further into the room plopping herself on the loveseat opposite Jaiden and gingerly tucked her legs under her. “I’m going to have to agree with you on that. You’ve jumped with two feet into a marriage at such a young age, I don’t think you’ve quite realised what you’ve given up. Are you really sure that Eyvah is definitely the one you wanna spend the rest of your life with? Do you see a future with her?” she asked.
Jaiden licked his lips and shrugged, “What I once thought was clear is all a whole jumble of crap in my head now. To be completely honest I wasn’t thinking rationally when we got married, I was so angry with my parents and Dayne that I just lost sight of what I was doing. I was desperate to show them that I loved Eyvah I wanted them to believe in me as much as they did Dayne and Leila. I just ended up screwing up more.” He explained toying with the ring on his finger.
“Jaiden your family do believe in you. But you have to stop acting irresponsibly and mature up a little bit. You have to work to earn respect if that’s what you’re looking for. It’s not going to come to you overnight.” Fate questioned.
Jaiden breathed deeply. “I know.” he said nodding slowly. ‘I just hope for my family’s sake Eyvah’s being honest with me.’ He thought silently to himself.

A few hours later the Callaway jet was loaded and now was flying halfway across the Atlantic.
On the plane were, Jordan, Isabelle, Dayne, Fate, Jaiden also Leila and Marc decided to join after Violet and Chase encouraged them to go leaving Melis behind with them to babysit.
“Do you think I should call to check up on her?” Leila said biting her nail uneasily.
“NO!” They all said in accord. Leila pouted in response and crossed her arms over her chest.
Marc grinned at his fiancée he slowly leaned over and took her hand in his. “Baby you called to check up on her five minutes ago Chase said she’s fine, will you please stop obsessing.” He said placing a kiss in the centre of her palm.
“We should have brought her with us, what if something happens?” she asked with eyes.
Jaiden chuckled from behind her. “Look at the bright side, if the plane crashes she’ll live.” He joked, Leila’s eyes widened in alarm immediately as she whirled around to look at her brother.
“Jaiden!” The others snapped at him.
“Oh my God, why didn’t I think of that? What if something happens to us who will look after her? What’s she going to do...we have to go back now. I want to go back!” she said hysterical.
Marc glared at Jaiden before he turned his attention back to Leila. “Honey, its okay calm down, nothing is going to happen okay?”
“No but what if—“
“Leila we have the best pilot in California flying our plane, honey. I promise you nothing is going to happen.” Jordan assured his frantic daughter.
Leila sighed, her blue eyes filled with worry. “Relax baby, okay?” Marc said soothingly kissing her gently on the lips. “I’ll make you feel tons better once I get you alone in our suite.” he promised.
“Gross! Marc, your whispers aren’t as quiet as you seemed to believe, you know?” Jaiden muttered disgusted.
“Nobody asked you to listen in bucko! You started it so now you have to suffer the consequences.” Marc said glancing at
Jaiden. “How about, I go into full detail of what you should expect tonight baby?” he teased grinning. “First I’m going to lick—“
“NAHHH!” Jaiden yelped jumping up from his seat like someone lit a fire up his backside. The rest all broke into laughter. “Excuse me while I go and chew my ears off.” He grumbled making his way to the back to play video games.
The three couples left behind spoke quietly amongst themselves. Dayne and Fate were discussing their son. Marc and Leila were whispering to each other quietly exchanging lust filled looks while Jordan and Isabelle were squabbling with each other.
“Woman zip it!” Jordan argued back arching a brow at her.
Isabelle matched his look. “Admit you’re wrong!” she uttered back. Jordan opened his mouth to respond but the pilots voice cut him off.
“Sir we’re ready for landing.”
Isabelle and Jordan looked back at Dayne and Fate who in return met their gazes hope shining in both their eyes.
“Are you two ready for this?” Jordan asked smiling.
Dayne’s fingers tightened around Fates and she squeezed his hand just as tight as they shared a look filled with love. “More than anything,” Fate said with a shaky breath. She turned to look out the little windows as the plane began to decent.
Minutes later the wheels screeched as they touched the runway of England’s City Airport.
What seemed like so far away hours ago was now in the reach of her finger tips. Her son was moments away from being in her arms once again.
“Mommy’s coming for, you baby.” She whispered looking at the city around her.
