Postcoital bliss

Brian awoke in a bit of a haze, his body still entwined with Matt's. Matt! The small blonde slowly peeked over to make sure he was still sleeping. A pair of brilliant blue eyes peered back, trained on Brian's face. The look Matt gave him made his stomach flip, too. There was always a loving and protective glint in Matt's eyes before and it was there now, only intensified. And it was accompanied by another, more potent look as well. Complete and utter possessiveness. Brian gasped softly, yet delightedly, to himself as he digested this new sense. Matt's arms were wrapped tightly around his waist, holding him closely. In fact, the small blonde boy suspected that he'd done so last night and hadn't loosened the hold since in the slightest.

And damn did he look sexy, too, Brian admitted. Matt's dark golden hair was tousled and his eyes still held the last remnants of sleep, and yet one could plainly see he was as alert as ever. His eyes tracked Brian's every move, every stir.

"You feel okay?" Matt finally broke the silence. "I didn't hurt you, did I?"

Brian grinned at the worry in his lover's voice. It was typical that Matt's first question in the morning be directed to the small blonde's welfare. Hell, Matt did nothing without first considering Brian's comfort.

"I'm fine," Brian whispered back, his grin quickly spreading across his elfin face.

"You're sure?" Matt frowned in concentration.

"I'm positive."

"Not sore at all?"

"Matt," Brian giggled. "I would be inhuman if I wasn't a little sore."

Matt's face reddened slightly and his grip tightened around Brian's waist. He didn't want anything to cause his treasure any pain. And he realized that they might have gone a little too fast last night for their first time together.

"Hey," Brian kissed his cheek. "It's not your fault you're a little "¦ um "¦ big. Don't worry, I'm only a little, tiny bit sore."

"Still."

"I love you," Brian interrupted him. He leaned in and kissed Matt's neck. "Last night was perfect. You made it that way. I never felt so much pleasure and love all at once."

"A-are you sure?" Matt gasped. He could feel his pulse quicken as all of his blood flooded down to his crotch. This boy was going to be the death of him. It would be an erotic death, though.

"Positive."

"I love you so much, Bri."

"I know."

Brian's mouth never wavered in his exploration. It was a heady newfound freedom he was experiencing. The thought that he could affect Matt this way gave him a sense of power that thrilled him to the core. He began to lave at Matt's nipples and gloried in the sweet sighs he heard his lover emit.

"God, Bri, you're killing me."

"You don't like?" the small blonde playfully frowned as he leaned back and looked up at Matt.

"Oh, no!" the taller boy replied. "I LOVE! It just takes everything I have to resist the urge to lay you back on this mattress and slide into you again." His blue eyes ignited with the statement. "And never come back out," he added with a devilish smirk.

Brian sighed and collapsed on top of Matt's chest grinning like an idiot.

"That sounded pretty possessive," he giggled. "I thought you said you didn't want to own me."

"I did," Matt chuckled. "And I don't. You're not a piece of property. But I never said I didn't want to possess your heart."

"You've always had that," the small blonde pulled back again.

Matt didn't let go though and rolled the smaller boy underneath him, tickling him mercilessly.

"Always?" he asked Brian wryly. "Really?"

"Yes," the boy laughed out in a fit of hysterics trying valiantly to deflect Matt's deft fingers. "And you always will."

Matt stopped tickling and leaned down to touch his lips softly to Brian's. "Really?"

"Definitely," Brian whispered winding his arms around Matt's neck and pulling him in for another kiss.

Just as their lips touched the phone rang.

"Damn," Matt sighed and gave Brian another quick peck before reaching over to the table at the side of the bed and picking up the phone.

"Yeah?" he answered without preamble, and Brian looked up at him with an amused smirk.

"Matt?" Trent asked uncertainly. "I'm sorry, did I wake you?"

"No, man."

"You sure? You sound cranky. You're usually an early riser on the weekends."

"Really. You didn't wake me," Matt sighed keeping the growl out of his voice. He was acutely aware of the beautiful bundle beneath him. Watching avidly.

"Okay," Trent sounded unconvinced. "I just wanted to call and check on how Nik's doing."

Shit! Matt's eyes flew wide for a moment. Brian threw him a questioning glance until he mouthed, "˜Niko.' The small blonde blanched and tried to get out of bed, but Matt held him in place and shook his head.

"Well, I don't think he's up yet," Matt replied to Trent a little shakily. How had they forgotten Niko was just outside? The poor kid was probably traumatized enough from Manny. "He's sleeping in the living room."

"Don't wake him," Trent chuckled. "I just wanted to see if he was okay. Tanya's visit threw us both off, you know."

"Yeah, we sensed that."

"I mean the only alternative would have been for him to sleep in my room with me, but you know how he is about that."

"Well, it's not like he and I have discussed it, but I'm sure Brian knows."

"Mm," Trent grunted. "I just don't want to spook him anymore than he already is, you know? I mean, it's bad enough he's living with a gay guy that I'm he knows has a thing for him. But to be exposed to Tanya's "¦ um, charms, I think that would have been too much."

"She sounds like a winner," Matt said. "No offense."

"None taken," Trent said grimly.

"Where is she, by the way?"

"In the shower. Just let Nik know that I called and that if he needs anything to let me know."

"I will, but Brian and I already told him we'll get him anything he needs."

"He refused, didn't he?"

"You know him too well," Matt laughed.

--------------------------------

After Brian profusely apologized to a mortified Niko when they'd showered and left the bedroom, their weekend settled somewhat. Brian and Matt watched the rest of the Lord of the Rings trilogy with him and taught him how to play poker. Though Matt and Brian were each anxious to make love again, they resolved to refrain from it until after Niko went back to Trent's place on Sunday.

--------------------------------

Trent watched his sister look around the candle store with a mixture of boredom and wariness. It was Sunday morning and she would be leaving in a few hours. And not a moment too soon for him. He still loved her like any brother would, but her newfound devotion to him only raised his suspicions. He'd had to hear all Friday night and Saturday about how Kevin and Jason were out to make her life miserable and how Joey was "brainwashed" into helping them. He'd been as patient as he could but drew the line at her idea that he call up his best friend and chew him out for her. Tanya even had the gall to ask Trent to make Joey break up with Cindy. Some things never change.

"I think I'll get this one for Mark."

Trent raised a chestnut eyebrow in amusement but kept his thoughts to himself. He knew that Mark Simmons would probably humor her and light it once, but that candle would hit the trashcan as soon as their relationship was over. And it would be, he knew. Tanya wouldn't listen when he told her what the guys in the locker room said about her, calling him overprotective. She probably didn't realize he was well aware of her penchant for running through boys. He was surprised Simmons lasted this long.

"How about this one for Mom?" he asked, as he fingered a white candle that smelled faintly of vanilla. It reminded him of home for some reason and the cookies his mother used to bake him when he was small.

"Why should I get her anything?"

Again, Trent mentally shook his head. Tanya rarely, if ever, thought of others unless she decided she needed something from them. How she'd grown to be like this, he still couldn't be sure. He suspected it was the way his father spoiled her, but he'd never voiced that theory before, knowing the older man would only tell him to stop being jealous of his sister.

"Okay, if I buy it for her, will you give it to her for me?" he asked.

Tanya looked at him strangely then shrugged.

"So, you really like it here, don't you?" she asked him as the clerk rang up their purchase, and Trent handed over his credit card. It was from habit, but Trent figured it was his sister, after all.

"Yeah, I do."

"Does Niko-cutie like it here, too?"

Trent looked at her warily, knowing he had to be extra careful with what he said to her. He could very well find this little intimate moment used against him at the next family gathering.

"He's actually trying to get home to his own family in Greece," he replied. "He hasn't seen them in a couple of years."

"Why not?"

"He just got caught short of money," Trent lied. Niko's story was the boy's to tell, not his.

"Oh," she said sadly. "Well, I hope it all works out. He seems to like you."

Okay, now Trent KNEW something was going on in that bleached blonde head of hers. But he also knew he wouldn't figure it out until she was ready to use it. So, he shrugged and quietly tried to decipher the riddle on his own. Yet, somehow he had the foreboding feeling that she was going to blindside him with it someday.
