Chapter 34
Vin watched as the two brothers talked and laughed at some private joke Eric was telling Orlando. It seemed the brothers were oblivious to anyone or anything around them. Vin ignored the elderly couple that were trying to converse with him, he could care less what they were saying, they were low class rich. Grinding his teeth he made his excuses and walked to one of the many open bars, his eyes glued to the two brothers. Placing an order, Vin reached inside his pocket and pushed a button signaling for Sean to join him.
Sean watched from the sideline as the two brothers were in a world of their own and smiled. He had to respect Brad a little, even though he knew the blond giant had no ideal what kind of trouble he was in for letting the two brothers have their privacy, for he knew it would come to an end.
“Speaking of the devil,” Sean muttered as he looked down at his cell phone which was vibrating. Looking around he found Vin at the side bar, his eyes glued to the brothers. He wanted to ignore the signal but knew it would only piss his boss off more and he was scared Orlando would take the punishment.
Just as Vin was lifting a glass of champagne to his lips, Sean appeared at his side. Vin took a sip, set the glass down with a clink and turned to his right hand man.
“I thought you went over everything with Brad,” Vin sneered as he jerked his head to Orlando and Eric.
“I guess I didn't go over family,” Sean said as he turned to the trio. “Plus its Eric for god sake Vin. It's Orlando's blood brother.”
Vin's cold grey eyes turned back to Sean, “Fix this and fix it now.”
Sean sighed and shook his head, his green eyes searching for any compassion in those cold grey eyes of Vin's, “you are never going to let Orlando have any freedom are you?”
Vin's eyes narrowed, “Orlando is mine, never forget that Angel.”
Sean turned and walked off making a be-line to Brad. He was not going to jump on the man, but for everyone's sake he needed to make it look like he did.

As the evening worn on, Orlando back at his side, Vin was in his element as he smiled and chatted with the elite of Detroit. Guest upon guest greeted the birthday boy, who seemed withdrawn and quiet. As Vin turned to greet yet another guest, something caught Vin's eyes. He blinked, his eyes had to be playing tricks on him. But no, there standing at the back door was his secretary. 'How and why the fuck was he here?' Vin eyes scanned the man, who was dressed just like a prostitute. Turning to Brad, he whispered furiously, “Watch him,” then Vin headed into the crowd.
Jared had finally made his way to the back where the party was being held. After several searches and a lot of questions, they finally let him go so he could search for his lover. So far his luck had held and none of Vin's personal guards had spotted him, for if they had they would not hesitate throwing him out no matter the excuses he used.
As he opened the back door, the sight that greeted him stopped him in his tracks. From the elegant decorations hanging to the ten foot ice sculptor of a horse rearing up on his hind legs in the middle of the back yard, to the richly dressed people walking and chatting away, Jared knew he how out of his league he was. Since he started out, this was the first time he started to have doubts about coming here. 'Maybe he made a mistake,' shifting he noticed some of the people standing close to him was staring at him and whispering.
Jared stiffened his spin, these people were no better than him. All they did was hide their dirt better. 'He had just as much right to be here then any of these stuffy peacocks,' he thought until he saw a very angry looking Vin heading toward him.
As Vin stepped up, his grey eyes filled with anger. He grabbed Jared arm, yanking him into the shadows. “What the hell are you doing here?” Vin's heated breath went into Jared's ear.
“I… I.. brought papers that you needed to sign,” Jared stammered.
“Don't give me that shit,” Vin snarled. “Papers, any papers could've waited for tomorrow. By the way, how the hell did you get in here? You weren't on the guest list!”
Jared flinched at the statement. He knew he wasn't on the list, but to hear it said so bluntly by the one he loved hurt deeply.
Before Jared could say anything, Vin's voice drew him out of his inner torment. “I want you out now, I will deal with you tomorrow,” Vin said as he started to pull the young man to the back door. But before he made it, they both heard a voice coming from behind them. “Vin?”
Vin turned and saw Eric standing behind them. His dark eyes going from his so called step father, to this young man dressed rather provocatively. He could tell Vin was upset and didn't want the guy here, smiling to himself he was going to get a little pay back from earlier.
“Who is this?” Eric asked as he walked up, standing in front of the young man, holding out his hand.
Jared stared at the muscular young man who was holding out his hand. Jared looked at Vin and could see the man about ready to explode. He wondered if this was the secretive Orlando, that Vin hid from everyone and that Vin loved. Silence fell between the three. Since that Vin wasn't going to give any introductions Jared decided to do it himself.
“Hello, I'm Jared,” Jared said taking a hold of the big hand that was stretched out and shook it.
Eric look into Jared big blue eyes and smiled. “Do you know my brother, Orlando?” Eric knew in his gut this was one of Vin's sluts, and in a way he felt sorry for the guy.
Before the blue eye man could answer, Vin's voice enter the conversation. “No, he is my secretary and he has important papers for me to sign.” Vin's voice was gruff and cold.
“Work can wait,” Eric said, looking back and forth between the two men. He could feel the tension radiating from them and knew his gut feeling was right. Looking down he saw Jared holding a present. “Come, let me introduce you to Orlando, so you can give him your present.”
Jared's mouth opened and closed several times. He wanted to see what the birthday boy looked like, but to actually meet him was another thing. He could feel the anger coming from Vin and knew he had made a big mistake.
“Shit,” Jared muttered. “I really need to be going. I just need Vin's signature on some papers…” Jared voice trailed off as he was grabbed by the hand and dragged toward the crowd. He couldn't believe this was happening. After all this time of wondering what Vin's little boy toy looked like, he was actually going to meet him. His blood was rushing through his veins as he was dragged to a broad shouldered man. As he glanced over his shoulder his eyes connected with Vin and saw murder pulsing out of his eyes. Gulping Jared turned back, he was being pulled through the crowd.
Suddenly his hand was left go and he came to a sudden halt. As he righted himself his eyes connected to a very broad back. Looking up he saw middle length blond hair, shifting he watched as the blond man turned and looked at Eric. Those blue eyes and face he seen before was looking at Eric. He could hear them talking but could not make out what was being said, with the blood rushing in his ears.
Eric was pointing at him and all he could make out was that Vin knew he was meeting the boy. As in like slow motion blue eyes focused on him first recognition then those blue eyes narrowed.
“You,” Brad sneered as he turned completely around facing Jared.
