Wrap Up of 2007
It’s off to the Ether
It is December 30, 2007 and I have finished editing CAKE. 208, 620 words of smexy yaoi goodness. I was only supposed to have 150,000 words of smexy yaoi goodness. Big Sigh.
I have edited out what I could. As I know what happens in the saga, I can’t cut out any more pieces of Cake because they are referred to. I’m at an eep! moment. Oh well. I shall have to rely on “fresh eyes” to guide me through further editing from Yaoi House.
It’s been 17 months since I started writing the Lord Emperor Vampire Saga. Who would have thunk it? Four novels later, I’m gearing up for a fifth and I have a signed contract for CAKE. The later part of 2007 sucked rocks, but it wasn’t all bad.
I’m SCHEMING
Once I finally get listed on the Yaoi House site and get some official artwork, I plan on making CAKE memorabilia – if it can be called that. Mouse pads, book marks, maybe coffee mugs if there is an interest. (I’m still unemployed and prospects are sucky at the moment.)
Brant & Walter
I am raring to get started on CANDY: Book 5 of the Lord Emperor Vampire Saga. Once that gets motoring, my other stories usually get dumped to the far reaches of the brain. I’m rushing “That’s what brothers do” to try and get it done. The reviews I’m getting for Brant is that they want him happy, not necessarily with Wilber and they want Constantine dead. Dead, dead, dead. Hmmm, something is brewing in my squishy little mind but it’s not totally solidified as of yet.
Weretigers, Satyr’s and tentacles, I had no clue where this was going, and I still don’t, so updates for “Tentacles for the Brides Bouquet” will most likely be few and far between. I do know what there will be some wild times for tiger boy coming up. In a better way than cat collars and harnesses.
So Happy New Years! May the joys of the season last throughout the upcoming year.
