\"They have been gone for a long time.\" Gabriel whispered. \"Are you sure they are okay?\"

\"They are fine.\" Alexis answered. \"No one around us has died recently so I think they are fine.\"

I looked over at him. \"You can tell if people die or not?\"

He nodded. \"Yeah. Part of being dead.\" he set a hand over his heart. \"Bet you never felt a still heart before have you?\"

Gabriel grabbed his hand. \"Don\'t say that Alexis.\" he looked up at the man. \"I can feel your heart perfectly fine.\"

Alexis smirked. \"Alright Gab. If you say so.\"

\"Well then what are they doing?\" Brian asked. \"This isn\'t the time to screw if that is it.\"

\"I doubt they are doing that.\" I told him sitting in the grass. \"I just hope that everything is okay. They didn\'t seem like they were getting along all that well.\"

\"They better get along.\" Brian answered. \"Because if they aren\'t that isn\'t going to work for us.\"

Tran and Elise came out of the forest and they looked happy now. Well, Tran looked about as happy as he could actually be. Elise\'s eyes met mine and he smiled softly before looking away again.

\"So,\" Tran said. \"Where do we go from here?\"

No one said anything for a moment. \"She said we have to find the others like us.\" Alexis answered. \"How are we supposed to find them? It could take forever. It\'s not like this world is small. We could be looking for them for the rest of our lives.\"

I looked up at Brian to see he had the same look in his eyes. The same doubt that we could actually get this done. \"I think we can do it...\" I said and looked back at the others. \"Why not? It didn\'t take all of us that long to find each other. How hard could it be to find the rest of them? My mother wouldn\'t have spoken to us so lightly about it if she had expected us to not be able to do it.\"

\"Yeah well she never said we could did she?\" Gabriel asked. \"She said this was going to be hard. What makes you think that just entitles the people looking for us? We don\'t even know if the other people have been caught by them or not. They could already be with the government.\"

\"Like you were?\" Brian asked him. \"You were already with the government and so was Alexis. What makes you think that we couldn\'t get the others out as well?\"

Alexis glared at Brian. \"So what? We are supposed to get everyone killed again so they can escape? You heard her. There is only so much she can do! We can\'t just get everyone killed over and over again! That is now Gabriel and I got here! Those government guys shot us! So don\'t bullshit with me! I\'m not getting people killed when we don\'t know the outcome.\"

\"Then what are we supposed to do?\" Elise argued. \"Just ask the government nicely if they will hand over people like us? You two of all people should know they aren\'t going to do that!\"

Tran sighed. \"Still, what are we going to do from now on? I mean really, there isn\'t much we can do if they are with the government. Or whoever else Carol was talking about! Clearly the government isn\'t the only one after us!\"

I clenched my fists. \"Fine then!\" I yelled at them. \"We can just leave them all out there to die and wish the best for them. We can all go our seperate ways and forget that we have ever met each other. None of you wanted to be here in the first place right? And it is all my fault to begin with that you are here anyway! So go on! Leave now if you want to! But I am going to continue my search!\"

Gabriel shuddered and looked around. Alexis looked down at him. \"Gab? What is it?\"

\"Something very bad.\" Gabriel stepped closer to Alexis. \"It felt like a man.\"

Elixis gasped and held tightly to Tran\'s arm. \"It\'s something very strong. Someone very evil.\"

\"Christopher...\" it was him! That man! That man who had been in my aunt\'s house. The one that I thought Brian had been rid of. \"You have more friends Christopher. More friends for me to have fun with. Thank you for bringing them to me.\"

\"Fuck!\" Tran closed his eyes and set a hand on the side of his head. \"I\'ve never heard something like this before.\"

Brian\'s eyes were scanning the area and so were Alexis\'s. \"I thought I got rid of this guy.\" Brian hissed. \"What is he?\"

Gabriel dropped to his knees and held himself in a ball. \"He\'s so cold...so very cold. Something very bad happened to him...something very bad. He\'s sick...\"

\"A killer.\" Elise was being held close by Tran. \"A killer...\"

Alexis got down and wrapped Gabriel in his arms. \"Chrstopher.\" the man laughed in my head. \"You have such weak friends Christopher. How could you porssibly have such weak friends? All of them so easily corrupted.\"

Why was he doing this to them? Why was he hurting them like this? What had I done to him to make him like this? \"Please...stop this...\" I begged him and felt Brian take my hand. \"Please leave them alone! Please stop this!\"

\"Ah! Elise and Gabriel screamed. \"Make it stop!\" Elise begged. \"God make it stop! It hurts! Everything is on fire!\"

\"Please!\" Gabriel sobbed. \"Please put it out! Please make it stop!\"

\"What are you going to do Christopher?\" he asked me. \"What are you going to do about it? Are you going to give yourself up to me like you did for the others once before? Well, that wont get you far with me Christopher, since I can\'t do anything to you right now but hurt your friends.\"

\"Who are you?\" I asked him. \"Please...just tell me who you are!\"

Everything stopped. I felt him disappear from my mind and everyone looked around. Was he gone? With that one question was he gone? That made my mind spin. Who was he? Who was he and why wouldn\'t he tell me who he was? Alexis helped Gabriel stand. Both Gabriel and Elise were shaking horribly.

\"Are you okay?\" I asked the two.

\"I\'ll live.\" Elise answered.

Gabriel nodded. \"I am fine.\"

None of us moved for a long time. \"What was that thing?\" Alexis asked. \"It was engulfed in fire...I\'ve never seen anything like that.\"

Brian\'s grip on my hand tightened a little. \"I don\'t know what he is...but that is not the first time I have seen him. The last time...last time he almost killed Christopher.\"

\"Killed him?\" Tran asked. \"How? How can something Christopher only hears kill him?\"

\"He showed up at my house.\" I answered. \"In complete human form. Everyone could see him, even my aunt. He tried to choke me to death.\"

Everyone was silent. \"I\'ve never heard of anything like that.\" Tran admitted. \"I thought I had read everything on this in that book. Nothing like that was in it. It couldn\'t have been him. They aren\'t supposed to be able to come into human form.\"

\"Maybe he possessed someone.\" Gabriel offered. \"I don\'t know if that is possible...but that is the only way I could think of.\"

\"It wasn\'t a possession.\" Brian answered. \"I\'d seen him before, in Christopher\'s mind. It was the same person. He said he\'d gotten out through my mind. That he had used me to get out.\"

Alexis shook his head. \"That can\'t work. We can make illusions. That\'s all. We can show people what we see. But never could we create life.\"

\"Says the person who is already dead.\" Brian hissed at him. \"I know what he said and that is what he said.\"

\"Don\'t say that!\" Gabriel yelled at Brian. \"Don\'t say things you don\'t know! He could have been lying! You don\'t know that for a fact!\"

I closed my eyes a moemnt. \"Shut up! All of you!\" I yelled and looked at them. \"I don\'t care how he did it but he did and we have to be careful! None of us know what he is capable of! So you can all argue until the end of time but it wont change anything! It\'s just going to make people more pissed off and that is the last thing we need!\"

Tran groaned. \"Well then what are we going to do? We can\'t have someone like that sneaking up on us! Especially not when we are running from the fucking government! We are on the fucking run! That means we have to hide! We can\'t have a fucking creepy man after us in the middle of hiding!\"

\"Then get rid of him!\" Brian yelled at Tran. \"If you are such a fucking God then get rid of him! Suck him into a black hole or something!\"

\"Please stop fighting!\" Elise yelled at them. \"Honestly! What are we going to get out of this? We are going to get behind, they are going to get closer to us, and right now we can do nothing about it. So you can all stand here arguing or we can figure where we are going to head next. Maybe where we can find someone to sleep and get some food and water before we all die in the middle of no where!\"

Everyone fell silent. \"Where is the nearest town?\" Gabriel asked. \"Does anyone know?\"

Elise sighed. \"Do I have to figure this out?\"

\"If you please.\" Tran answered. \"I\'d advise everyone to back away.\"

They all backed away and Elise got on his knees. I watched as he did the same thing that he had done before. This time the line of fire shot out in front of Elise. He stood in that familiar circle of ash.

\"That way.\" He pointed. \"We need to go that way.\"

\"Well, no point in wasting time then.\" Alexis said. \"Lets get going.\"

Brian pulled my hand lightly and we began to walk. \"You ready Christopher?\"

\"As I\'ll ever be.\" I answered.
