Second Chapter- Trance
Freeze was ready to party and wanted to get out on that dance floor as soon as possible. He’d had a long day and wanted it all to slip away. Stepping into the dance pit he caught a few girls looking at him, but it was nothing out of the ordinary. Starting to move to the music, he was about ready to get lost in it all, and then he spotted her.
She was tall and lean, and absolutely……..well there was no word for it. She had red hair with bright red tips and she was dancing exactly to the beat of the music. Freeze tried to figure out if it was his imagination or if he was really seeing this exquisite creature. Then she stopped dancing and she scanned the crowd, and her eyes fell on him. He tried to break eye contact because he didn’t want her to know she’d been staring at him, but it was too late.
He was starting to walk towards this angel when she just turned and walked straight into the crowd. Freeze thought it would be easier to find her considering she was so tall, but with all the bobbing heads and thrashing bodies, she wasn’t in sight. As soon as she had come, she’d disappeared, and he wanted her back now. Freeze had never seen someone like her, but he was pretty sure that he wanted her and nobody else. The question was, would she want him too?
Does anyone else notice the incredibly hot guy?! Raven was not into getting hooked on guys. If she found a guy she liked she’d trail him around for a while and then find another guy. Granted, she was absolutely boy crazy, but she was always the one in control. Freeze didn’t make her feel that way. She felt like she could lose herself forever in him, but that didn’t matter because he barely seemed to notice her. Her, the stunning Raven who always caught the guy’s attention first!
She couldn’t handle it, but she knew she would have to. She wanted him badly and now all she had to do was get him to want her. She was ready for this chase. The question was, was he ready to be caught?
Don’t look back! Fire thought to herself and she was ramming her way through the endless throng of bodies. That stare had unnerved her, and she didn’t like being unnerved. Fire had been completely ready to lose herself into Ice Fire, but she hadn’t been ready for someone to knock her off balance. She would just have to remain cool and forget the whole thing. Besides, he was on her turf now, so he would just have to back off. Sir Blue Hair was going to have to find himself a new club.
Finding her state of relaxation again, Fire began to move her body in time with the music. She was ready this time, and no man, woman, or thing was going to ruin it. She felt the pulse running through her and was in peace. Just keep it going she thought, don’t let the thoughts seep into your head again!
What was the deal? Rider was a stud and he knew it. So why wasn’t Fire falling at his feet? He couldn’t get over her, her toughness and self-righteousness. She was stunning and dangerous at the same time, that’s why he needed her. You’d think she’d want him too considering…….oh nevermind, she wouldn’t give a damn about that even if she did know.
Fire was not the typical girl who would want him for the typical reasons. Rider would have to find a way to seep into her mind and find out what she wanted in a man. She was a treasure and now all he had to do was find the key to open her eyes to him. Rider was not going to stop at anything because all her had his mind set on was the prize, and Fire would be a well-deserved prize for what he was going to do.
