Campaign: The War For Mortane
Cruim Devours
Secretary Delta felt her proximity alarm go off, and she looked up from her designs. "That form is a lie." Secretary Delta laughed as she continued her sewing. She would automate the process soon.
"I assure you, this flesh is quite real." The voice drew closer, and she turned her head and scanned with her array of sensors. The sable skinned demon purred. He was handsome until his waist as the humanoid shape gave way towards a beast with thick, coarse fur that ended with hooves.
Between his legs was no sexual appendage but a serpent. Delta's ruby eyes blinked. Humanoid symmetry was corrupted, but there was an eerily persistent resonance in the form.
"Who is the Ardent Dreamer?" Secretary Delta beamed. He is a divinity that has decided to aid Adala. No more, no less."
"And what does this Ardent Dreamer profess?" She hummed for a moment.
"What do you think the Ardent Dreamer will profess?" She asked as she finished her handmade stitch.
That serpent hissed. Her last piece finished; the ground moaned and wailed before it upturned.
" Right this way." Her employer stated. Delta made sure she kept her sensors well away from her employer. She was going to gain so many resources from this. This city was a disaster with its failure of the most rudimentary fashion.
"You're almost there." The voice whispered in his ear. Ub-Zu could admit he was certainly intrigued. He opened the door and felt the warmth of the humid air embrace his nostrils.
His snake's tongue flicked out, and he walked in, and the door closed behind him. " Thermal Waters, From the Deep." The water vapor curled around the man
"Look at all that tension in your shoulders." The man was handsome; those silvery eyes shone like silver coins polished to shining without hair made him exotic, but what made him memorable. Wasn't the black ink on his left arm was all the prices for the services of the flesh. No, what made him unforgettably unique and unforgettable was his lusts were carved into his flesh.
The keeper's tongue was quite explicit in the depth of his fornications. The man held out his hand.
"Care to join me?" The bather smiled.
"Bea͆͛͛uÍ‘Ì̻̹t͋̉i̘f̣̦͇u̜͇̓̅l" Ub-Zu shivered at the mere utterance. His senses rebelled and quivered. He couldn't believe the word issuing from his lips.
"A̙̹s͙̟̫ͪ̑̉ ̲̞͂͛aÌ€r̬̥e yÌ͙̙͌ôͩ͋Ì̜̲u" The Queen In Orange looked on in shock.
The Warden smiled as the demon took his hand and waded into the bath. "Did you want to meet face to face?" Queen In Orange said nothing.
Mortane trembled. Levi and the vessel The Queen had possessed looked at each other. They felt a shift in the very ground itself.
A scream that grew louder and louder until they could hear every inflection of agony and at the apex of that horrified scream.
It was silenced, and Mortane shuddered from the aftershocks. Reality rippled; the mortals inside Adala's walls would be safe. The Great Maggot. Cruim had slain one of the gods of Mortane. That was the only thing he could think of.
" I think you need to visit now." The vessel told him,Subtly had just right out the window. Otok's vengence would be neigh.
Levi nodded. This did not bode well.
While it helped Adala, It also shifted the balance of power. Mortane's reality was bound to grow more unstable.
He had to prepare.
